Done a little research and apparently for the petrol engine the sump plug is different if you have Air Con or not :) You learn something different every day :)
Thanks for showing us the service Danny. Your video has given me the confidence to do mine next time. I have the same engine. I don't think the fuel filter has ever been done, so thanks very much. Keep up the good work on the Berlingos. Cheers. Vivian.
Nice little video that. I felt your frustration when aged parts break and incorrect bits are sourced with no explanation as to why it’s wrong! You can bet that the previous person ordered the same plug as you too and ended up refitting the old one too. Keep up the good work. Also, have you still got the Sport Ka(s)?
The perfect video to spend with a beer and a sausage roll...:) Informative as ever Danny.. when you end up with more broken and wrong parts than when you started.........been there...... :) Euro car parts and GSF Specialise in the wrong stuff....:) and you buy it...dont do the job for ages,,,, then realise.... why would the sump plug be different on an car with ac ?? weird... N x
Great video. I've got the same 1.6petrol multispace. Good to see step by step servicing. I don't think I have a pollen filter as no a/c on mine. Had a torsion bar snap on my rear axle but needed it done quick so had to get garage to do it. I will tackle most other jobs myself. Love the videos and your go to man for Berlingo.
@@projectfearn the front wings on my Berlingo are rusting around the wheel arches like on your blue one. Are you going to repair them or replace them. They are bolt on but would be helpful if there is a video of this?
My Berlingo is a 67 plate multispace blue. I'm enjoying watching you do yours and seeing the difference between yours and mine. It seems they have made a lot of changes and differences on the newer models but, I'm learning loads from your vids. It was interesting when you said the rear wiper arm cover costs a lot, I needed two new front doors key cover plates, driver and passenger, and they cost me £14 for a pair of black none painted after market ones, the colour coded ones are £30-40 a pair. Anyway, keep it going mate. 👍
@@projectfearn I must admit, I prefer the older shape. The inside was better too before the changes. The dash for instance, is flatter on the passenger side of the older models, which makes it easier to use. On my newer model the dash is slanted so there's no sticking mugs of tea on the dash on long trips. I have a pointless glovebox on the drive side now and its too small. The glove box on the passenger side is only just big enough for a tube of toothpaste. The older ones had loads of room for bottles of water in the door pockets. These improvements seem to go against popular demand rather than with them. Lol. Mine also comes with matching rattles inside the drivers doors, support bar I suspect.
Good video I have same Berlingo with ac the sump plug on mine has an internal square socket which I used a 3/8 extension to undo, it also has an External nut which is 17mm I think but I didn’t use that to undo the plug.
Hi Danny Julian here thank you so much for share all this tips and tricks about the Berlingo they are super useful.i've just bought a 2007 Multispace Desire petrol 1.6 with some dents here and there but the other day we parked and she died, the insurance mechanic said that is the fuse box that died and i don't know what to do because is like a major service he said like 1000 pounds but i found the replacement part on ebay for 250, any recommendation? THANK YOU!!
Hi just started watching your multispace videos to help me with my car, same as this one. I noticed this one's got a towbar, could you check something for me please? I've just fitted a towbar to mine and before I put the bumper back it looks like the bumper needs a square cutting out. There are 2 factory holes in the underside and it looks like they are the corners of the square to be removed. Before I make the cut does that seem right? Thanks very much, Mark
Halfords will replace any Halfords advanced tool free of charge. I snapped a torx bit like you they exchanged no problem. Just take the old one back with you.
I have the part number but can't find the part so I'm going to have to search the breakers yards for one. If I find two would you like me to pick you one up as well? 😎
Hi Danny The window screen wash isn't working on my berlingo The bottle is full and I can hear the pump and the wipers move but no water is coming out of the holes. Any advice please bud. 2.0 hdi 2005 Many thanks Neil
Hi Neil. There is usually a rubber filter that goes between the pump and bottle. This can get gunked up over time if put stuff like fairy liquid in with the water. Best off popping the pump out and having a look. Also check there are no splits in the pipes if you can hear the pump running. Could be the pump though pal. 🤔
@@projectfearn cool I'll keep you updated on my progress. Many thanks. By the way I love your mk3 astra I had one in 2004 which was my first car Loved it 👍
