I got some good shots last night here in Brisbane Australia with my 10" Dobsonian. I ended up getting a moon filter today.. It was just way too bright last night to see the detail.

Well done Sir, weather here is bad, but maybe tonight 31/10-01/11 it's good, I'll try to get some images with the new telescope

The weather in the UK is appalling today. Cloud and rain for the next week at least 🤬

Same here the next 2 days, but we might get some sun next week. According to the latest forecast, we may get up to 13°C on Monday, and that's _highly_ unusual in early November where I live, in the countryside some 100 km north of Oslo.

Well I managed to film the Moon rising last night and again at transit, but my efforts to film the Moon setting this morning were thwarted by cloud. Oh well, maybe tomorrow morning and I won't have to wake up so early.

Wow! The Moon is full seen from Norway also, more than 17,000 km away! There must be some stupid, completely irrational explanation to that since we all know that the Moon is at most a few thousand km away.

And even more bafflingly both of you (and me!) all see the same face of the moon and same craters at all times no matter where it is in the sky.

@@JohnMichaelson Yes, it's almost as if everyone has their own personal moon that's identical to all the others!

The Inuit, who live by tracking the sun, moon, and stars say that the earth has most certainly tilted quite a bit...

and yet Polaris, the Northern Pole Star, is still right where it is supposed to be, 2/3 of one degree from the North Celestial Pole. The star Mintaka in Orion's Belt, still rises due East and still sets due West and all solar and lunar eclipse predictions calculated centuries ago still always occur exactly as and when predicted. Do you suppose that there could possibly be another explanation for what _certain_ Inuit people believe they are seeing? How about the loss of ice shelf due to global warming and arctic ice melt? Loss of ice would mean increased visibility of the low Sun. Resolute Bay is near the top of the Earth where the angle to the Sun is very low at certain times of the year, even disappearing completely during December. I plan to make a video about this soon, so stay tuned! Astronomers track the Sun, Moon and stars. That is why we use Right Ascension and Declination coordinates, measured in degrees, arc minutes and arc seconds. 1 arc second is 1/3600th of one degree. Very precise. Don't you think millions of independent astronomers all around the globe would all be talking about how the Sun, Moon and stars are no longer at their correct coordinates if that were the case? Don't you think they would all be talking to each other and comparing notes when they found their automatic "goto" telescopes were not finding their targets correctly? I'm sorry, but _certain_ Inuit people are mistaken in their conclusions. I'm sure that not all Inuit people believe the Earth has shifted on its axis. I'm sure that many of them are well educated enough to know that if Polaris is still right where it should be at the North Celestial Pole then the Earth could not possibly have shifted on its axis. :)

@@dazzathecameraman This is clownfishs latest redoubt. The Inuit interview with the elders.

They rarely used stars as that far N they were few and far between. They navigated by consistent land marks in the ice and snow that the regular reliable weather carved. As the globe has warmed these winds and systems have changed and thus the land has changed robbing the Inuit of their previously reliable markets. There was a follow video to the one making these claims which explained this. Also by an Inuit.
