Durant Westbrook Harden. All drafted 3 years in a row by the same team and was teammates for 3 years (all). They all have at least 2 scoring titles and an MVP each. And they made top 75. Crazy...
Westbrook an harden wayyy better than Irving ... No MVP votes only.. Ever in bis whole career 10yrs.. They both got a MVP.. An more accolades than irving..
Shaq had a better Laker career than Kareem. Yeah I said it. Kareem had more rings but for most of the rings he won with the Lakers he was like a 20 and 10 guy on a stack team that was clearly led by Magic at that point. Kareem's prime was in Milwaukee and his 1st few years with the Lakers.
@@mcoeif with the Lakers, Kareem won 3 MVP's, finals mvp, 1st team all-NBA 6 times, 2nd team all-nba 4 times, 7 time all-NBA defense, a rebounding title, and blocks leader 4 times. Those are all individual accolades btw.
They picked AD and Dame off of their current hype. Dwight Howard objectively has a better career resume than AD. And there are plenty of guard with better resumes than Lillard. Greatness aint just about numbers...its about beating your contemporaries. Neither one of them beat anybody.
id take irving or tony parker over lillard, def howard over dsvis, but my man dennis johnson not being there doesnt make sense to me, finals mvp 5x all star and 9xall defensive teams, 2xall nba teams, let alone 3 nba rings
Well he was in the top 50 back in 1996 so he is probably quite used to being recognized as one of the best, and always thought of himself as one of the best, just like how nobody cares to get Michael Jordan's opinion on the list for that same reason.
Magic was an MVP candidate his rookie year...but I kind of imagine...if you on the same list with people you looked up to before you got to the league...even if you know in your heart you're better than some of them...you never really lose that reverence I don't think.
Man the way Magic talks about Larry Bird with so much passion just shows how humble he is, and also how much they both respects each other to this day, both of them are such Legends really helped make basketball more popular in those days, their battles were truly a treat to watch, and both of them are undeniably top 10 players.
That's because his whole life his been in his sister shadow.its hard when your not the best player in your family. Hopefully this could help close the gap. And was raised right by his parents.
Absolutely love that story about Larry bird walking into the room and saying “which one of y’all coming in second?” I don’t know if it was the same three point contest but it would be even more legendary if it was the one where he walked off with his hand up to win the 3 point contest
Dudes be acting like they forgot about Vince. He was up there with iverson and Kobe as the best scorers for a good stretch. Just played on a lot of bad teams.
@@stevehorn646 What decade was he most electrifying because he played alongside a man who tore the house down with dunks and multiple 50 point games and buzzer beaters in Kobe
Man between the Celtics and Lakers they always had and still have Hall of Fame type players out of all teams in NBA history... And yes I'm aware they both have the most championships at 17 a piece through their team's history in the NBA
Funny that Kenny caught that Shaq mentioned Magic City. He looked at Barkley like, "Can you believe he gave a shout out to THE strip club of the south. LOL. I love this crew!
@@jeterw75 He signed the contract between Orlando and LA according to his story. Therefore, I think it was Atlanta which has the famous Magic City there. However, only Shaq can say for sure but based on Kenny's reaction ... well. Is there a Magic City strip club in Miami?
@@davidmalik9821 makes sense! I just thought Miami was known as Magic city as well but I could see Shaq pulling up to the club with the duffel bags of ones
Thinking about Westbrook averaging the triple doubles in this modern game, it makes you wonder what his numbers would be like if he was a consistent shooter. I wonder if because he would shoot a lot more if he was a good shooter if that would effect his stats in other categories or if his stats would stay with his points going ip drastically
@@yeah-rb6kz Problem with Westbrook is he hasnt IMPROVED his Game at All. Dude is an EXAMPLE of relying on nothing but Athleticism. I mean Westbrook is a Horrible IQ player but has Stupid Energy but that doesnt mean anything.
Kiddd need his respect fam glad he got it that man took his team to the finals 2 times as underdogs back to back I know they didn’t win but they took the spurs 7 games in I know they didn’t win a game against lakers but they was close games
No no no he is not better than Paul Pierce now stop it. Howard is lucky to play in era where it was no great centers for real. Paul Pierce is the greatest scorer Celtics had and that says ALOT
Congratulations fellas the role models teachers leaders and the best to ever play the game I love. glad you're getting recognized for your greatness competitive-will hard work and talent. glad they continue to highlight the ones that just can't be compared and any student of the game should keep studying the films highlight tapes stats numbers
25 other NBA players who could've made the list: Vince Carter Tracy McGrady Anfernee Hardaway Grant Hill Shawn Kemp Dikembe Mutombo Chris Webber Tim Hardaway Alonzo Mourning Chris Mullin Yao Ming Dwight Howard Paul George Pau Gasol Chris Bosh Tony Parker Manu Ginobli Klay Thompson Draymond Green Blake Griffin Rajon Rondo Kyrie Irving Bernard King Artis Gilmore Bob Lanier
@@kalisto5772 Paul George like an 8 time all star 6 all defence took those big 3 Miami to 7 games and last year averaged 30 in the playoffs he should be on the list
Too early for dame to be considered. If hes able to sustain his high level of play well into his final years like cp3 has, then sure. But right now he just hasnt accomplished much yet. And if melo is in there, no reason for vince not to be.
@@manueleliseo4273 yeah melo, the 7 time all nba,x10 Allstar, and scoring champ. Oh yeah russ Westbrook with an mvp, triple double season, x9 all nba, scoring champ twice, assist leader 3 times. STOP
If AD, Dame and Bill Walton made the list, Dwight should've made it in. Honorable Mention: Tmac - great player, all time talent but never got out of the 1st round in the EAST Manu - Man, he should've gotten in, I wish he left the Spurs so we can see how he can carry a team. Easily plays like Harden if he had his own team Dikembe Mutombo - impact on international fans, 4 time DPOY
I love the how holding the team down JOEL WE ALL MAKE MISTAKES IN OUR LIVES IT S GOOD TO LERN FROM OUR MISTAKES and move forward 💖💖💖💖💖💖💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪🦾🦾🦾🦾🦾💯💯💯💯💯!!!!LETS GO SIXERS!!!!
We all know about MJ taking it personally, but Bird was right up there too. I remember that one game where he shot a three and it didn't count. He told the opposing bench that the next possession he will take the exact same shot in the exact same spot, and he made it again.😂
@@bridgeboysdk4915 Well you can’t put One Thousand plqyer on top 75. Everybody got their own list. Dwight Howard did not made it. The clown is supposed to be there as well. That guy is better than Shaq on his Orlando days. At the end of the day, this won’t matter anyways. They can all just ignore the list and believe they are the best. Just like MJ believing he is the GOAT. I mean are you in the cave for the past century? MJ is not the GOAT but we can convince ourselves MJ is the GOAT everyday, right? That list is not important. That kust show you who are the best on those who vote.
Bro I swear T Mac could have been on this list....back in his prime anytime him and Kobe or him and A.I had a game against each other everybody was watching.
Why shouldn’t Melo, Dame shouldn’t be recognized? Just cause you don’t win a championship. Charles Barkley never won a championship, but you are on there. Don’t hate!
@@antoniawarren8884 Barkley was MVP, led his team to the Finals and was the best player at his position in his prime which Carmelo and Dame aren't. Your comparison ain't fair.
AD hasn't don't anything. He won chip bc he paired with LeBron. Dame hasnt done anything either. Great players but Dwight took his team to the finals. Defensive player of the year multiple times and rebounding leader multiple times. Tony Parker was the last PG to be FMVP and he's a 4 time champ.
I agree Davis didn’t deserve to be in but you’re acting like Lebron was going to win without ad. He traded his entire team for him and he balled out in the finals.
@@jackbarnes9316 why would he say it. McHale was a different style player. I watched him many many times with my own eyes. If he was being kind, why didn't he say it about everyone, or other guys. Terrible comment imo
@@jackbarnes9316 it's 100% accurate. McHale was Barkley's nightmare. Think about it, Kevin could play off Charles just enough with those freakish long arms still bother his mid range shot. McHale blocked alot of Barkley's shot and bothered even more. On the other end McHale scored at will with Charles. Double everytime
@@Andres-pq8el are you slow or something ? did you expect 7 foot centers to be highley skilled? skill means absolutely nothing at all. kyrie is more skilled then shaq. hes not even 1/50th the player and never will be.
I agree with Charles Barkley that nobody from the top 50 list should not have been taken off. They should have added 25 more guys. That’s disrespectful!!
If melo is in, Howard should be in as well. Both had awesome prime careers and of course also had bad seasons. But howard was force back then and took an average magic squad to finals which AD and dame failed to do. And yeah Melo got no rings nor season rewards
Tracey McGrady and Bernard King should be on this list..honorable mention Grant Hill, Shawn Kemp, Micheal Ray Richardson, Ben Wallace, Joe Dumars, Dennis Johnson
it's too bad tmac's team didn't go past the 1st round (he reached the finals when he was not even on the rotation, 2nd round with the rockets he was injured) while the supposedly lesser player reggie milller routinely reached the conference finals and nearly reached the finals 4 times (he only got once) and was always deep in the playoffs.
Alex English should have made it. Most points in the 1980s(more than Jordan, Bird, Magic), particularly because he was crushing it in the early 80s from 1980-1984 before Jordan hit the scene.
Wow, some of those guys I thought would have already been on the list of top 50. Dominique and Magic for sure. But it's a very short list out of a long history or great players.
@@teofemo7000 I think he means it by just his overall size and mass that just made him a bulldozer in the lane (paint) area while Kareem had more skill for sure
What was insane was how we all reacted to it!!! the next day in school we all believed we could do what Bubba Chuck did!!! He made MJ look like a kid as a rookie!!! And MJ was in his prime!!!
I have to agree with Charles, I think it should have been 25 new entrants. You can't take someone off a 50 greatest players to add new ones, you add to the list...B/S
I would be pretty pisses if I was klay Thompson. I don’t know how you could leave him out when he’s for sure one of the greatest shooters of all time, a 3 time champion, amazing at defense as well as his offense, and the list goes on.
