BTW… trying to remove the 2016 Expedition grill was a #*%^ without breaking anything. So, I didn’t mess with it. Between removing the radiator shroud, and removing the OEM intercooler, there is a bunch of room to work. However, there is a bracket that mounts between the upper/ lower portion of the grille just behind the blue oval that will need to be permanently removed for intercooler clearance. There is no horn relocation necessary. Also, the OEM hardware that’s used to mount the Full Race bracket can’t be used as the washer and bolt head are a bit wide to line up in the hole without contacting the bracket. I used my grinder to flatten one side of the washer and bolt head; Voilà!!! Other than that everything was the same. This video greatly helped me. I used a total of three… all were great. Each hit a different part of the installation in a little different detail. Thanks again for the hard work. Made my job much easier!!!
I’ve watched ur video several times. Now that I have my kit in hand it makes more sense to me. Also, out of many videos I have watched I think your video is definitely one of the best. Thank you for posting. I’m sure you have saved a lot of people from many headaches.
Do a video on how you Installed the quick fist. Looking to do the same with max tracks. Just want to know the pros and cons with drilling into your truck bed.
No issues so far and I've never read of anyone have a negative impact from the FR intercooler. I'm starting to tow my camper around so I'll be keeping an eye on my temps
NotSoQuaker awesome, glad to know - thanks for sharing! I’d be curious to know if you ever do experience anything with the radiator. Either way, great setup and rig 👍
So far so good! It still heat soaks while sitting but I'm thinking that might just be the aluminum charge pipe passing heat to the sensor more than the plastic one
@@B-and-J I've had similar issues. Might have been a bad thermostat but even with the new one, I watch the temperature creep up pretty high when pulling a grade. As I'm sure you know, I just shift "manually" down to 3rd and the engine seems to be really happy in that gear
Have this rad and cac set up . Problem is the cac dumps heat right to rad airflow while towing in high ambient or moderate. I'm going to retro fit a huge radiator....These are not large enough.
