Thank you so much Farzad. I am currently in training to be a barber and your video has been so helpful. It is the best example of a full shave that I have ever watched. Thank you for taking the time to share your videos.
A true professional and teacher with a warm, bright personality! While I normally straight shave myself daily, I wouldn’t mind popping into Farzad’s shop if I found myself in Vancouver. He’s incredibly thorough and funny, and such a great guy to converse with from what I’ve seen. Someone who puts serious passion into his work!
I am also a barber and been doing it for over 20 years. I've seen alot of barbers do shaves. I gotta say your technique is awesome. Your very thorough and clean, and I also ordered the cream you have. I gotta say it's amazing! Thank you for your videos and sharing your work. From el paso tx.👍
Thank you so much Farzad for sharing your videos. I am currently training to be a barber and this has been the best example of a full shave that I have ever watched. I have my full shave practical exam coming up and I am hoping for a distinction. 💈🤩
Always enjoy watching you work!! You are a master of this art!! I would love to travel across the world just to have an appointment! Keep up the amazing job! And I would love to see more shave videos!
Outstanding work and so fluid with his process. Farzad, you're a true professional and it shows in all of your videos. I've enjoyed everyone of them. Would love to make a trip someday to your awesome shop and receive a first class shave from you!
Farzad that was amazing! It's so great for a barber like myself to be able to watch someone of your experience and knowledge and pick up a few of you tips! Thanks so much man you're the best out there! A 'REAL' barber!!!
So brave around the lips. I always shit myself with shaving around the mouth. I think it's because I catch my own lips when shaving at home with a Mach 3 razor 🙈 so I worry when I'm using my feather on a client. Here you shave straight across the mouth no problems. Impressive I'd love to have that confidence Maybe one day!! Such a good video Farzad. Thank you for producing this and sharing
Awesome tutorial Sir, I enjoy any and all shave videos you share on RU-vid, FB, and Instagram. In this video you mention if you stretch the skin on the chin area too much it'll bleed. Could you go into further detail on this? Once again, thank you so much for sharing your craft. :)
What feather razor would you recommend I’m looking at the ss but wondering should I look at your others .. amazing video .. I keep coming back and also on project x
With the same Lather Time machine, instead of using the pre-made mix that most people use, you can put a small dollop of the crown soap and stir it up with the water in the tank next time you empty unit out. We use different soap but same technique at school and much better than the other stuff as you mentioned. It comes out so rich and creamy, I would imagine the Crown would be amazing in the machine, looking forward to trying it myself soon.
JamminMan77 that doesn't clog the machine. I'm trying to figure out a better way to make rich creamy lather from the machine because your right that pre mix stuff (Campbell) or anything else is not the same any more...they must have changed the formula. So I have been having a issue trying to make rich lather. So try soap lather in the machine with some water. Will that mess the machine up with time or shorten it's life span?
You have some good methods. I like the idea of refilling your scuttle between passes to keep it warm. How do you sanitize your shaving brush between clients?
Might want to consider having the bristles in some barbicide for a little while too, or at least some alcohol. That aside, very nice shave you did here, you work lightning fast and with incredible efficiency, and it's impressive how you have everything planned ahead right from the start.
Hi Farzad! Im from Brazil and i would like to know the name of that "cup" you used to make the foam before shaving your client...Great video! Come to Brazil visit us! =)
It's called a shaving scuttle. This one was custom made by a guy in Texas but unfortunately I don't think he is doing it anymore, or at least I can't find him anywhere, he used to sell them on eBay and that's how ended up contacting him to make me one (a few years ago). If you search for "shaving scuttles" online you should be able to find many different ones, check eBay or maybe Etsy. I'm glad you liked the video! Would love to visit Brazil one day......you never know!
Hi Farzard!! Can you please tell me what blade do you use in your Feather?? i know that there are 4 or 5 different types. i usually use "professional" (black box).. cheers!!
Looks good. Unfortunately, in Florida, we can't use a brush. And I always tell everybody that if you prepare the face properly, all you need is a credit card to shave with.
Mis respetos como barbero, pero sinceramente me estreso que se desperdiciara tanta agua, si eso tira de agua en 1 cliente no me imaginó al final del día .... Pero fuera de eso su trabajo es excelente 🙋
I am in barber school and I have the same thing, a few places slightly bleed and I am not cutting the person. Why is this happening and will the cold towel stop the bleeding?
alphacharlie65ms this happen when you pull the hair, not cut it. is something that will stop bleeding after a couple of minutes without any traces after. as this Barber says, don't panic :)
You hang up the brush to dry. How do you sanitize your equipment before the next client? We clearly saw little spots of blood and your brush touched it and went in the bowl. I would be worried mostly about how it is all cleaned before next use. I did like the video and would go get a hot shave. I'm just wondering about blood.
Yeah, I know what you mean. Unfortunately we live in a world now where we need to be very careful. He did rinse and clean the brush in steaming hot water and the shave soap properties probably took care of any small amounts of blood that may have gotten on it. Technically blood is really only dangerous if the customer has some sort of deadly disease or some illness. Also probably depends on what Canada’s health codes are. This type of shaving is all but gone in America due to health codes.
Wonder how much practice you need to straight razor shave without cutting someone? In my case, I'll stick with an electric shaver; no possible way of cutting yourself.
Nice video, but at 21:27, please turn off the water! water conservation is really important, that is a waste of gallons of water, hopefully you'll watch it in the future, I absolutely hate when people keep water running while shaving, it is gallons down the drain
