Why did the Prosecution call this witness and then ask no questions? After establishing their relationship as best friends, the attorney stepped over to consult with her team, comes back and says no questions. What was the purpose? Attorney could have asked why she was unable to contact Tylee in Rexburg, did she call around trying to find her best friend, etc? Why did prosecutor change her mind and just let Prior ask some questions? Odd waste of a witness for tylee.

@@kimjorg What was powerful about having a witness testify to being a best friend? Then asking her no questions? By putting her on the stand, that is what subjected her then to Prior's cross questions. It just doesn't make any sense why Prosecutor did this.

Guarantee they brought her on to show that she had a good relationship with Alex and that Alex couldn’t have done all of that knife work on her body meaning that Chad did that to her

Why didn't they ask her any questions like if she noticed any changes in tylees relationships with lori or Alex etc...why did they call this girl to the stand exactly? Like what was the point? None of these questions point to anything either way other then she was tylees friend.

Ashlynn was there to remind everyone that the damaged bones being discussed before and after this belonged to a girl who should be this age now. A vivacious, teenage girl who would be a young woman if she had not been murdered. That she had trusted Alex and her family before Chad came into the picture.

Agree. It was frustrating the Prosecutor set the stage they were best friends, then instead of asking any questions she stepped aside and let Prior have at her! Why do that to her? If they called her, they should have had a reason and some good questions for her to testify to on Tylee's behalf.

That's what i was thinking as well. Her life was changed forever when she found out what happened to her friend. Trauma like that never goes away. Bless her heart, and I hope she goes on to have a wonderful life as she herself stood up for Tylee by her brief yet powerful statement of "Tylee was the one who showed up for JJ."
