As a musician, McCartney has always been THE reference in creating a song! He in my opinion is, was and still is the best song writer of all time!!! Even more amazing, he is so down to earth!!!
I love how Paul has said in an interview that The Beatles could have taken a positive or negative path, and that they CHOSE positive. The world sings along joyfully because of it. Kudos to all the talented tributes to him, a job well done!
I agree 💯! I just want to tell him, and not sound like just "a fan," but as a human being who MADE my teenaged years so wonderful! And continued to do so my whole life ❤️
What an outstanding and fitting tribute to a musical genius whose music and compositions will no doubt be around for a very long time. Who doesn't listen to these songs and sing along joyfully?
@@davidguthrie3105 No I don't think so either. They were part of a HUGE change in popular music, they were a part of a REVOLUTION if you will and no one has such a huge influence as John, Paul, George, and Ringo. I am proud to have been a Beatlemaniac.
Trying to select a FAVORITE Beatles song, is like trying to select a favorite BREATH you take in your day to day life ...... Each one is at once special, natural, and mostly of all NECESSARY for your very existence!!!
Paul McCartney knows he is loved worldwide, that's why he still performs in front of sell out crowds. It's amazing how all generations love his music, including very young children. That to me proves greatness and the test of time.
I hear you. Paul was my Beatle but I adored George. What a beautiful soul 💜. John and Yoko too. Ringo was like a happy teddy bear.... adorable. The Beatles got me thru some very tough times, as a victim of child abuse.

When I was a teen in the 60s in Liverpool my brother brought home the album 'Please Please Me' and we proceeded to play it all day over and over again, my dad who was a bit peeved by now said, " I'll give them 3 months" , we never let him forget it.
Sandy, I'm so glad you got to be there and experience that. I'm younger, so The Beatles have always just been part of the world's wallpaper for me, but I wish I had a time machine so I could go back and see what it was like to have been there at the beginning.
When I first played commercially in the folkhouses as one of the members of a folksinging band in the 70s, we always included some Beatles selections to please the customersn who were getting drowsy from listening hard folksongs particularly those who don't dig folksongs. We noticed that their songs could entertain all kinds of customers regardless of age and social status. Therafter, I became serious in their music and along the way, I noticed that George creations lately have more depth and artistic approach with nice melodic lead.,
you know your music is timeless when great musicians can take it apart ,put it back together , perform it in their own way and it still comes out great
Paul is simply one of the greatest gifts to our World, this World has ever seen AND heard. Thank you Sir Paul for all the amazing sounds and the even more amazing feelings you have brought us all!

The experience you went through must have been as fantastic as it was inexplicable. How was the sound, the audience reaction, what year was this show, which place in Chicago,, what changed in your life after this show? Please describe, as you are a witness of the history.
I feel blessed to have grown up during this incredible man’s career!!! There is not even a close second to his music & genius. I am unable to even put into words my admiration for Sir Paul McCartney!!
I was 9 years old when I heard the Beatles. Saw them on Ed Sullivan, and meet them at their Convention Center Rotunda performance in Las Vegas 1964. I found my life’s vocation.No regrets.
Growing up in the 60s we never really knew how great our music was. Now looking back on what Paul and all the Beatles did for music We were so luck to hear it the first time around
I'm 64 and we just took this music in like we ate breakfast . It was always around. The soundtrack of my youth. I truly didn't appreciate it at the time.
The world has always been complicated...look at history...look at the problems in the 1960's...70's anytime you wish to look at. Nostalgia always creates a rosy tint.

I can't help but feel that this Honor meant more to him than induction into the Rock Hall of Fame. It's like the United States came together to let Paul know just how much we love and treasure him. We still feel that way Paul...💖
The Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame honors were the most important to him. It was the one he and Linda wanted the most. She had already died when he won but he dedicated the award to her.

Amazing. Grew up with Beatles and they are the band of a lifetime. Great to see all these people simply lost in the music and a feeling of love for everyone. I miss that terribly
out of nowhere the tears just keep coming and how you can instantly see what a bond great music brings....one of the best examples ever of how powerful music is...and Paul must of felt he was either at the gate to heaven or among the clouds in heaven. If that doesn't bring you to your feet, nothing will...just so so beautiful.
...and yet... ...Faul remains rather cold and emotionally stunted throughout this performance, just as he did when he was issued the news that John had been shot and killed.
She came in….Golden Slumbers…and The End, were never performed live by the Beatles…..and Steven T just killed it. Did it his way, but paying homage to the masterfully way it was originally created. And did it in a way that didn’t make it all about him. Just beautiful.
When I saw Paul sing " All My Loving " on the Ed Sullivan Show, I was a Beatles fan. I love his solo career and his " Wings " career. Thank You Sir Paul . Your music is outstanding. 👍👍👍❤❤❤

Steven Tyler is another one of those that will stand the test of times. He can take any song and turn it into something amazing. I've seen him go crazy and at the same time can take a serious song and perform it to perfection. A true student of music
Steven was understated in this, maybe realizing the night belonged to Paul. Still, he had the audience in his grip. I got a kick out of seeing John Lithgow singing along. When Steven sang "Golden Slumbers" I got goose bumps as my mind went back decades.
I asked my daddy at the age of six for my first album- Meet the Beatles. I'm 63 now and the Beatles and Paul McCartney have been one of the major influences in my life..and still are. They have colored my world, and it is a beautiful color! So thanks, gratitude and love to Sir Paul, to brother Paul, to Beatle Paul!!!!

this made me cry watching Paul McCartney's face while they are playing Let It Be and feeling his feelings and his memory of the dream of his mother coming to him which inspired the song.
To live through the Beatles era was just wonderful. I saved up to purchase each album when they were released. My bedroom wall was covered by pictures I’d cut from magazine and newspapers. This was all before we had a television set and the radio was the way to keep up with their career.
There will never ever be a phenomenon like the Beatles this band changed the entire world for the better I'm so sad today that two of them are gone but definitely not forgotten!!

There is no comparison with his Beatles songs and his post Beatles. Post Beatles he is just another average song writer who no one ever covers even in tributes like this.
