I just finished my side rails last night, Thank you so much for your no nonsense tutorial video. Way too many people try to do tutorials that just suck. You’re very straightforward and to the point. OUTSTANDING instructions
So awesome cobra thank you, I watched both of your tutorials and was amazed by your quality workmanship. Just freaking awesome bud thank you. I picked up so much knowledge.
You're awesome! Anytime You're in Michigan, you're welcome to come do my valley for another video! Lol!! Joking! I'm going to try eventually but until then I'll keep watching your content! Can always start over if I screw it up!
Thank you buddy, I'm moving on to Diamonds next. I'll be breaking them down as well, including how to correctly use the leveling system on them as well.
@@therealkingcobra I worked to guy in Diamond Europe and ibelieve you taught him, so i know quite a lot. I myself like to do quality job and you reveal those little tricks so clearly he never could. I admire your how you have everything figured out perfectly to not do anything extra. Very smart.
You are awesome I so wish someone could give me info on tightening my pockets on an old 9 foot table. My corners are 5 and sides are 6 inches and just buckets. You’re the absolute best and I would love your input. I’m so disappointed in the table Balls drop that shouldn’t. Could my angles of the rubber be incorrect
Where can the RKC250 Quarts be sourced that's NOT wholesale only? This, I find a bit frustrating. BTW, this is a great video and I particularly like how there is ZERO wasted motion. Every movement has a purpose. Well Done!
@@therealkingcobra thanks a ton, going to go at it this weekend. Got the new ridgebacks and 860. For side pockets, are you using half of the measurements for anchor side and stretch side? For instance, half of 13/16 and half of 5/8. Valley bar box btw
From looking and playing over and over it looks like half of 13/16 on anchor side and half of 5/8 on stretch to side. That was the area I was confused. I learned a ton on this video.
Just finished mine, with simonis 860. It was hard to get the lines marked correctly on side pockets because my side pockets didn't have a good definitive edge to them. It is a tough stretch for sure being a smaller guy. Wish I had those clamps shown in the video. It looks and plays great though! With new pro cut rails it Came out tight
I’m going to do a 40 year old 8’ table in the next day or so, is this 1-3/8” guide with the same 3/8” per side side pocket slack okay for that larger size of table?
Great video. We got a Dynamo at the local Legion that the cushion arent flush with the top of the rails. What exactly would cause that? Thanks for taking the time to make this video.
So the slate should have been shimmed up like you showed in this video? How does this effect the rail bolts is the some adjustment available there ? I assume there is some as the cushions are currently tight but too low. I know moving just the cushions up is not the answer as that would mess with the nose height. Thanks
You would not believe the mess a "Pro" table mech made of my 8' table. A side rail cloth was cut too short so there was a mess of staples there trying to fix that. But worst, he had to remove beeswax to remove slate bolts, yet he failed to refill those same holes with wax after he bolted the slate back down. I suppose the table's design was lacking, maybe, but I recovered it myself once before and did a damn sight better than this 'pro'. Of course he promised to return to fix the table - it's been six years and I quit waiting for his call within a week after he left me with this mess. I finally sort of lost interest in my own table because I didn't want to recover it myself again, and I didn't trust any so-called mechanics.
Stapling is a joke, and a waste of time always having to remove the old staples, not to mention the fact that the staples don't provide a 100% hold down of the rail cloth, like spray glue does, staples only hold where they're placed, and you can always see where they're at by the loose cloth between staples on the tops of the rails. And yea, I've recovered way more bar tables than you have, been doing this work since 1983, commercial tables exclusively.
