Reading various self help books pulled me through some hard times trying to understand my self and the world around me better... Unlike talking to psychologists which for me personally seemed like a waste of time, energy and money only frustrating me further... The Power Of Now is very interesting but the language Eckhart Tolle uses takes a bit of getting used to For more light-hearted and fun books I can highly recommend How To Win Friends And Influence People and Zen And The Art Of Motorcycle Maintenance... Those books made self exploration a joy really 😊 and you can find all 3 I mentioned for cheap second hand But in the end you can have a whole pile of them (like I do) but you'll still have to do it yourself and especially come to your own insights... No book has all the answers and no two people are the same EDIT: Which reminds me 😋 The Tao Of Pooh & The Te Of Piglet is a must read!

Yeah that's strange- after all the care he put into the tremolo block- he winds up the entire post with strings- almost looked like they were about to start doubling back up! No reason for that- two winds on the big strings gives the proper angle- four on the thin ones- I always just cut the string 3 posts past the post I'm winding- perfect every time (for vintage style- but close to the same for new- lame- wrap around posts).

Music in all of its forms is such a huge part of humanity! Love and music are truly the 'universal' languages. From the first time someone hit sticks and rocks together to the various genres and styles that have evolved today music has been a part of our history for as long as we have had one! As a matter of fact some tribes *still* use music to pass on an oral history of their people; from Native Americans to Aboriginals to Islanders all over the globe. We listen to music when we are happy, sad, in love, in pain, when we mourn, when we celebrate and every emotion in between. Even though music is shared with many, it can be very individual and personal. Don't believe me? Go look up what everyone thinks your favorite song's lyrics mean. I'd bet there are no less then three differing opinions on the meaning with hundreds if not thousands of people agreeing with each one! (unless the musician or group TOLD everyone what it meant to them) Musicians all have at least one thing in common; someone, somewhere encouraged them without stifling their creativity. Whether that was a music teacher, famous musician(s) they looked up to, or just someone in their family (which is often more important than anyone else). Bravo to you for recognizing that is one of the most important lessons in music education! I wish more 'first contact' educators would figure that out as well!

Having read various self help books The Power Of Now absolutely is #1 for me 😊👌 I've noticed since then that a lot of people started to genuinely hate me for not getting caught up in the drama they're trying to create... But I know where they're coming from and it just bounces back off me... It just doesn't matter Some people do ask me "How do you keep so calm all the time?"... I try to explain then that I have the same voice inside my head that they do... But I override it with reason and logic... My own voice... I tend to come across as not very empathic to others as well because of it... But again... I know where they're coming from and can't let it get to me I also broke off quite a few 'friendships' because of that... Before I allowed others to use me as a sounding board... Complaining endlessly to me all day long in the guise of asking for advice... Now I recognize when someone truly wants my help and is willing to change... Otherwise I just can't be bothered It has been quite the journey and transformation and still is each and every moment 😊 The funny thing is Eckhart's own terminology can be quite confusing and challenging at first if you let it... But once you get through it you just get it and become it... It's more like a state of being than a constant contemplation... If that makes any sense... It's almost effortless
