You guys are making me want to go to Costa Rica and Colombia now. Time flies. It seems only a couple of months ago watching Caspian selecting his piñata for his 5th birthday in Mexico. This video made me realize that was already more than one year ago.

Hey Michael. Those are two great countries to explore. I don’t think we mentioned our Costa Rica video in this one, but in that video we mention how you can fly down to Costa Rica and rent out a fully kitted overland rig and explore many of the places we mention. It is a great way to get down here and get your feet wet with Central America overlanding. As far as Caspian, he is growing up way too fast. I wish I had the ability yo stop time. He’s at such a precious age right now. Time is flying for sure. Hopefully you saw the announcement that we’ll be at Overland Expo West 2023. If by any chance you are going this year definitely let us know. Appreciate the love. ~ Eric

Great expedition till now!!! I really enjoy all the journey you shared, love Caspian interventions, and didn’t know you had those lots of months of rainy season. You just have to come to Colombia to know how it’s to drive here lol 😅. Thanks Eric, Britt and Little Nomand, for letting me be part of your journey, I learnt a lot from all your advices and experiences. Really it was an honor for me!!! Hope to see you in Overland Expo, I’ll try my best to go 👍🏻

Wow...what a trip!!! And...I've seen all of the videos. It helps to have been following you for the past 1 1/2 years. My favorites; the Mayan ruins in Guatemala were #1 for me AND the week of celebration before Easter. Second are the cenotes of Mexico and I loved the "small" beach towns you found along the way. Nicaragua was heartfelt and so glad you got to help out with the relief for the families who had lost everything. Of course, the national parks, natural wildlife areas, historical sites, and cathedrals throughout Central America were a definite highlight. It feels like I took the whole trip again with you in this video. Whew...what a ride.

I really appreciate this comment. Most people don’t realize how much it takes to put a video like this together. So to acknowledge that really blesses me. It took about 10 8 hour days from start to finish to make this video. I kept telling myself that nobody was going to watch a 2 hour video and just hoped that someday Caspian would watch it and share it with his family. But I’ve been really surprised by how many people have commented or messaged me privately that they watched it start to finish. There is so much more to come. Just yesterday we explored Medellin, Colombia for the first time and we caught some of it on video that we hope to share soon. Appreciate you being part of our community and thank you for taking the time to comment. ~ Eric

Too bad I do not have plans to be in Colombia until June. I’d love to invite you to my family’s farm and do some exploring around the area. It is close to Monteria in Cordoba (8 hrs from Medellin) it’s never explored by overlanders but soo much to see, even indigenous communities to visit. There is one of the largest dams and of course the local food is amazing

Hi Whitley! So we have family in the Gilroy area. My guess is that we’ll be in that area in late April to mid May. Somewhere around there. So we don’t have a meetup planned for that area, but we’d be happy to meet up for a coffee or something! So keep us posted on your availability! You can always send us a private message via IG or use the contact form on our website to email us directly! ~ Eric

Hey Mike! Glad you are on the journey with us and thanks for the comment. Great question. There are a lot of variables including altitude, terrain, traffic, and how much ballast or liquid we are carrying but I’d say between 14-16 mpg ~ Eric

As much as I loved seeing this compilation often it’s been hard to figure out the names of the locations you went to - as long as there wasn’t any written name to see. Not being an english native speaker and speaking spanish as well it’s quite difficult to understand the heavy american accent in pronuncing spanish names. Maybe you want to put the written names on the screen as well?
@HourlessLife
@HourlessLife Год назад
That is a great idea. So sorry Anne. There were so many places that we visited and mentioned in this video that it would have been nearly all text if we had done that! Having said that I’m happy to answer any questions or give you the spelling of any location in this video if you’d like. Just let me know what clip, or the timestamp of the video and I’m happy to help! ~ E

@@HourlessLife 😂 thanks Eric got your message and I won’t go through it again when already quitting after half an hour simply giving up 🤣 …or it’s better time to work on your Spanish pronunciation if you don’t want to do the editing to serve your followers from other countries around the world but your own folks 🤷🏻‍♀️ Maybe it would help to grow your channel?

Hi folks! I am worried about you kid. I was an educator and I ask myself how do you kid study? Hope is Home Schooling (truck schooling) because he is extremely intelligent. God Bless you all. Greetings from Puerto Rico in the Caribbean.
@HourlessLife
@HourlessLife Год назад
Hi Midnight. Caspian is getting the most amazing education you could imagine. We don't just teach him about topics he's not interested in, he's not in school with 30 other children having the time dedicated to him divided. Rather we allow him to lead in the topics he's interested in and as a result he's extremely far ahead of his peers in practically every category. He has already read more than 1000 books, is speaking two languages, doing math at 2-3rd grade level, has already been dabbling in algebra, his vocabulary is off the charts, and most importantly he loves learning. This is our ultimate goal with him. Because if he loves learning, he can do anything he sets his mind to. We appreciate your concern but assure you that you can set those concerns aside. We were also attacked my a biblical amount of those flying termites. It was horrible! The girls were crying. It was as we were trying to get into our Airbnb after dinner after a rain and hundreds of them flew all around us and into our apartment. It was disgusting and took forever to clean up. I was finding wings for weeks. Just another reason we didn't like Nica.
@HourlessLife
@HourlessLife Год назад
OMG the worst right? Hope your girls aren’t traumatized. People don’t understand how real this is. Funny thing, for the longest time we were still seeing termite wings flutter down around our rig when we were closing the tent months after this incident happened! ~ E
