Tango, just a suggestion, in the entrance of Decked Out with the bed and chest to set spawn and disrobe, I think it would be good to have an emergency exit for hermits who went out on their merry ways, didn't set their spawn again in their base or somewhere, died somewhere and respawned back in that room. That way they'll just exit without breaking the iron door or walls. Just a suggestion since I've noticed hermits respawn in that room.

I think the easiest way to do that is place buttons above the iron doors to let you out but not in. Technically this introduces weird edge cases where a hermit starts the game and then leaves without triggering the off switch, or you could end up turning the game off while someone is inside. (This can be fully solved with redstone but i think just telling the hermits don't chicken out after starting the game is sufficient vs truly idiot proofing it)

Not sure you need a dedicated exit. Anyone who ends up there by accident should break and replace the bed, then kill themselves so they end up back at spawn. Maybe some lava they can jump into?

@@davemoosehead A killing chamber. I like that idea. We could have a hole going through deckout into a water source, in a close chamber where a warden is waiting you. Just don't be dumb and don't go with your stuff in it. I would not like do a rescue mission in it.

It's kind of funny, normally a big item sorter isn't terribly useful because you have to hang around to keep it loaded for so long to work. But because you're putting Decked Out next to it, the other hermits are going to keep your item sorter loaded all the time. Get them to do your work for you!

Tango, as an employee of pearls cleaning service you should be the engineer/technician and use your redstone knowledge to help her. Pearl does the cleaning and organising of the chestmonsters and you could build an sorter/organiser for the hermitclient, to prevent any monsters in the future (and make some diamonds in the proces).

Maybe for continued reliance on pearl, he could build a sorter that the items go trough and then pearl finishes the sorting manually to make it slightly more tidy than a sorting machine would. So instead of building other hermits a sorter, they could have a sorter of their own that the items will be processed trough

Hi Tango, what do you think of having a 'Sabotage' role / gameplay where another Hermit can influence some one elses decked out run? I think it would be fun way to add interaction between the hermits. With like invisibility potion, cobwebs etc. I know there were a few times in the last season where decked out was constantly being used and hermits were waiting for someone elses run to finish, think it would be great oppurtinity to capitalise on this aswell as add way to take away points from those on top of the leader board so its constant battle. I think it would be a fun change, let me know what you think.

It would have to be very carefully balanced, the sabotagers would only be able to do incredibly weak things because decked out is already designed to be pretty challenging. Like, lingering slowness 1, that lasts a few seconds, or something like that. Also, things that are placed wont work because the maintenance would be nearly impossible

Imagine if there where secret “control rooms” for traps or monster buffs hermits can get access too via keys while others play though, sort of like controlled admin access. At the same time though it kinda chips into the novelty of it being a fully automated game that’s already pretty challenging/could be a unwelcome and unfair griefing element as not everyone may face an equal bar for progression. I can only imagine it being fair to have a saboteur element among the hermits with a certain/the highest score mby

Tango could make a sorter for pearl that just splits everything up into shulkers. That way she can just run the chaos through the sorter and easily move the sorted shulkers' contents to the correct chests at the client's house

Hey Tango, you should try active noise canceling for the doors. If you play an inverted version of the pistons moving at the right time, it should muffle the piston extender. (I'm talking about the doors for decked out)

Another idea: dungeon gear Players can find iron/wood/stone randomly scattered around the dungeon, and if they find a crafting table, they can craft it into Armor/weaopns, but they'll have to submit them back to the system before exiting the dungeon

That’s the longest you’ve ever hung out with Pearl and it was fabulous. She’s so much fun to be around and watch! I like this idea of you being her marketing manager but towards the end there it seems you’re going to be her muscle, what with planning to shake Scar down for those diamonds lol I can’t wait. A suggestion for Decked Out 2: There should be a way to reduce Clank. (Or klank) An easy way to do this is maybe just to have a card that reduces Clank but increases Hazard or something. But one more narrative idea that I like is that there are skeletons of fallen adventurers randomly scattered around the map. And if you give them some sort of specific item (maybe some bones that represent their remains) it will appease their spirit and lower your clank.

(guessing) Pearl's ads: a jukebox with a locked hopper and either the advert disc in the hopper or in a treasure chest, with an inverted lock hooked up to the skulk sensor, so when the sensor is set off, it unlocks the hopper long enough for the disc to end up in the jukebox

The mechanism moving the main sliding doors, wow. Hadn't you explained (or just said "custom armor stands") no way I could have guessed how it works. That's genius! Cleo should be proud people using her armor stands in way she couldn't imagine! And all that sculk sensors! The devs might have had Decked Out in their minds, when they came up with those! (Actually if I remember tho... first news of 1.17 and skulks teasers happened few weeks before Decked Out 1. But I might be wrong.)
