100%, he needs diferent friends. I have and absolutely love my 2020 Solo Skiff. I had several kayaks and the Solo Skiff is in a totally diferent planet. I've taken mine out 25+ mile off shore off San Diego, Ca, searching for Tuna and Dorados. That price is insanely a great bargain.
Exactly, and how much did he lose out of the investment. It's not like it takes a lot of room to store it. And paddling after playing nice fish might get old.
Wow…That’s crazy. Only thing I can think of was he got tired of the trailer and boat ramp launching. While his friends could unload and pretty much launch anywhere.
His friends were just jealous. You can paddle the Solo if you want. The comment of the Outboard scaring away the fish is a bunch of BS. I know, I own a Solo Skiff.
And here I am looking at Gheenoe as the next step for me (trying to get more family on the water),, that's a pretty sweet deal on the Solo Skiff even for a 2017 body.
I just come to realized kayak(Hobie) is not suitable for me. I would buy this in a heartbeat if it’s in Cali. Just add motor guide Xi3 and fish finder.
That's a pretty sweet ride and a great price. That would extend my fishing range a ton. I already have an armada of kayaks, so this would be a great addition. I'm glad it's down there. I'd buy it 😀, but I'd be in the dog house. I'm looking for a small boat to go crabbing with the family.
Thank you very much for the video, buddy. I love you video's and I'm a big fan of your videos. I just called Dave to put a deposit on the solo skiff. Hopefully picking it up by the end of the month, all thanks to you.
@Aliex Folgueira I'm from Connecticut Alex and leaving the skiff in Florida. Let me know if you want to help me fish from it. I have never fished from one, but I fish the keys as much as possible. Tight lines brother. Que Dios lo bendiga!
Had a solo skiff and was not happy with it and went through 4 other kayaks and now I just bought a Bote Rover that seems to be better than the solo skiff. (except for the durability). Planning on using a 15 hp on the bote vs the 6 on the solo skiff, and you can stand while driving the rover.
Aliex, if I traded that skiff in. I definitely would've went with the Autopilot 120. The Hobie's are nice, but don't compare to that Oldtown. And you're running your outboard, on yours now. Or you can run the NK-300, on the Autopilot. He'll end up adding a motor. Everyone I fish with, has motors now. The good kayaks today, are motor ready, from the factor. Then he leaves his FF, Battery, stand up bar, 😂 🤔 🌊 🎣
What i like from kayaks are the facilites for lounching and the áreas you can fish like shallow waters . every year i go camping and love to have camping área close to the water so my kayak always will be there ready Just to push it to water
I have a 2017 SS with the almost exact same setup (except the one in the video is a little cleaner) I also have an outback and I'd say the motor definitely scares fish away, but it's a whole lot funner covering more ground. 15mph doesn't seem like much but it feels like a lot in a glorified kayak.
manual or motor makes sounds, get to close to the fish you will scare it. I wish i could hire a sound crew and a bunch of professional anglers to test this lol
@@AliexFolgueira You could see who can sneak up closer to a fish without scaring them away on a clear day, one with a motor one with pedals i guess lol.
Friends should've stepped up with trollinb motors on theirs. Bet if somebody had an emergency, he'd wish he had this available to medivac somebody. I'd be all over something like this if I didn't just get a little rib.
@@AliexFolgueira bummer yeah I called they're getting new ones in in May they believe. Although my trip is the 1st to the 10th of April and I'm looking to enjoy it with a solo skiff and multiple areas down the coast and in the Keys so I'm on a mission to hopefully find one in decent shape for a good price
I got a 15ft Saturn inflatable with tohatsu man it’s work load and unload. I see where he coming from. Not to mention registration and maintenance on outboard adds up cost. But I’m not selling it either 😊
