I bought myself one of these a few months ago (because I own an 80 series LandCruiser) and I love this fun RC 4wd after only scratch-building RC model boats for 30 years... I have 3dprinted several accessories for mine and I'm in the process of painting them and will fit them onto my C54 shortly. The only thing I found weird is that they only supply it with headlights and nothing in the rear.. if they are wiring up lights and providing them why not supply all the lighting.. Probably a buy-me gimmick to make you then buy a full lighting system.. I have plenty of small globes (from making RC boats) so I will wire up my own set.
These are a lot of fun to mod, in my case I repainted mine and did a bunch of scale stuff on it. Wish I could get a pic to you! They run great I think, the wheels should be slightly out a little more as it’s a wee bit top heavy. Not gonna bother getting metal upgrades until the plastic breaks.
I got a couple c-14s and the MN 99S this thing looks awesome completely new chassis skid plate and stuff that looks awesome might have to get one Great video
Great review & nice to see it action at the crawler park. Looks smart in red. On a different subject, I see LDRC have done the predicted posh & more expensive P06 Unimog. Twin motor, 2-speed, different tyres etc. (Bangood).
Pretty similar to be honest. But I would say the C54 is just a bit better. Would certainly have to spend less on mods to make it capable. The 78 needs portal axles (expensive) to fit bigger better tyres, otherwise you have to cut the wheel arches massively.
