We are happy to hear you enjoy the Fun Face Masks for 3D printing and excited to let you know that there has been added a new highly requested Mask! Bane Mask was made to resemble the character’s iconic mask inspired by the brilliant portrayal of the supervillain in “The Dark Knight Rises”. STL files of this mask are already available for download on the Fun Face Masks model’s page on Gambody marketplace in the “Source files” tab: www.gambody.com/3d-models/fun-face-masks.

Thanks for stopping by and for revealing your interest in the Gambody marketplace. Basically, as we mentioned in the answers to other questions, each mask comes in a 1:1 scale to fit an average adult face. You can find this and other information worth your interest on the model’s page, tab “Description” (www.gambody.com/3d-models/fun-face-masks). On the same page, you can find the information and recommendations for the masks’ adjusting process if it’s needed. Should you feel the need to adjust the shape of the mask to fit your face more snugly you can do it by applying high temperature and force (the masks are made 2-5mm thick to allow that). There are also files in .mb format that can promptly be provided upon request at support@gambody.com for you to modify the mask as you wish yourself. Also, some of Gambody's customers have already shared their experience with adjusting the size/shape of the Fun Masks in our Facebook group. Hi, so recently I found these and downloaded some of them and wanted to print, but I wanted to know how would I scale them to make it fit my face better, as I printed one and did a mess trying to expand the sides with a heat gun. I printed 1:1 scale, and I process the stl on cura, since the question on what percent would you recommend or if there are measurements in relation to this.Thanks for these, really like the idea.

We are sorry to know that you’ve struggled to obtain a snuggle fit with your first 3D printed mask from Gambody. As you’ve noticed already, the Fun Face masks happen to come in 1:1 scale to fit an average adult face, each. Due to the individual peculiarities, some of the hobbyists did change the default scale of the masks in order to obtain broader prints. Thus, the practical cases show that printing the masks at 110% allows you to yield a wider mask that ensures a better fit after. We invite you to join our group on Facebook and dive into real practices where you can inquire about the needed detail at first hand: facebook.com/groups/183216945475583/permalink/889826484814622/, facebook.com/groups/183216945475583/permalink/876404756156795/, facebook.com/groups/183216945475583/permalink/877026722761265/. That’s a great suggestion, and we’re more than sure that all Marvel fans would get behind that idea as well. In fact, Fun Face Masks were designed to set up a creative mood that would allow for some fun during the lockdown time which was particularly strict during the springtime. Aiming to cheer the enthusiasts up we have come up with the 3D printing masks of Immortan Joe, Doom, Sub-Zero, The Wasp, Bane and Darth Vader for the quarantine only. Anyway, there other fun holidays will come, among which is commonly adored Halloween, and for the celebration of which already available, masks will become more than suitable, by the way. And in case you happen not to find a mask of your favourite character yet, we want to note that Gambody will keep on fulfilling the wishes of our clients so that you could have a larger assortment of the items for Halloween! Your suggestion has been taken into consideration, and we have added the model of your interest to our Wishlist. Kindly note that on Gambody we don’t sell printed models and don’t provide 3D printing services. On our marketplace, you can purchase only STL files of high poly 3D printing models that are meant to be printed on a 3D printer. Therefore, the video represents not the actual 3D printed pieces but 3D renders that showcase the model you will receive having printed the model’s STL files on a 3D printer. So the masks you are seeing in this video weren’t printed on any type of 3D printer, but merely 3D rendered. For detailed information, you can contact us directly - either via Facebook messages or by writing to our Customer Support Department at support@gambody.com.

We are sorry to know you have faced certain problems when printing the Doom mask using the settings for Simplify3D slicer. Indeed, DOOM mask did have gaps on the sides but the issue had been reported repeatedly, and the mask had been returned to our Moderation team who fixed the model making sure there are no thin walls or holes! The mask has been re-uploaded two months ago on the item's page (www.gambody.com/3d-models/fun-face-masks), tab "Source files", version DOOM MASK 1.0. But if you are sure that the problem is in the updated version of the mask, please, tell us more about the issue. Is there any way you could send us any photos of the troublesome 3D printed result or the piece sliced in Simplify3D so that we could see what might have caused the issue, and, if needed, fix it? @@Therealtjackson It’s good news to know that you’ve figured it out yourself and reached the satisfactory result with printing Sub-Zero Fun Face Mask. From our end, we simply want to add that the default orientation the STL files come with is Gambody’s recommended orientation. The related information is mentioned on any model’s page, in the tab “Description”. There you can find out that any model's assembly parts provided in STL files have recommended positions that were worked out in order to ensure the smoothness of the details’ surfaces after printing and that the 3D printing beginners won't face difficulties when placing the parts on a build plate. However, those recommended positions of the assembly parts are mere recommendations, not an obligation, and you are free to change them depending on your experience when working with your home 3D printer, filament and slicing program. Additionally, we want to welcome you to join our Facebook group where our customers share their stunning Gambody 3D printing projects for others to appreciate. Hello! Since Gambody is a marketplace that deals basically with STL files, the information on the model’s page covers the points of general design, printing recommendations, usage purposes as well as general characteristics (www.gambody.com/3d-models/fun-face-masks). Furthermore, any sort of information regarding other stages and process the models go through, get actively discussed by 3D printing fans in our Facebook group. Thus, in “Gambody - 3D Printing Gaming Community” you can find lots of helpful information concerning the priming/painting process, the filament or strap choice, grids placing as well as the introduction of additional materials. We welcome you to join the group in order to take a look at masks with straps. According to the comments of our customers, many of them use various elastic straps. Kindly, see the links to the posts where the enthusiasts share their tips that might become handy for your case: facebook.com/groups/183216945475583/permalink/885565965240674, facebook.com/groups/183216945475583/permalink/882282085569062. We appreciate your attentive approach and interest in the Fun Face Masks for 3D Printing models. For starters, let us note that most of the 3D printing models we happen to feature on Gambody are sold under the Regular Permission that presupposes only personal use of both STL files and resulting 3D printed models. Also, the Regular Permission explicitly forbids you to sell or distribute the STL files and already printed or painted models produced under it. You can learn more about it here: gambody.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000238491. The STL files of Fun Face Masks are indeed presented as open-source files on the marketplace. You should know that the item’s initial format is explained by providing the possibility to all the customers to personalise and customise the mask models as per their wishes and needs. It is also necessary to note that primarily the item was released as an initiative to enable the hobbyists to have fun while 3D printing the masks during the lockdown period. As we indicate it on the model’s page, tab “Description”, the design of these 3D printing masks is not intended to replace standard personal protective equipment. Please note that it can be used only as the basis to make the proper alternative protection and solely when one is competent enough to introduce proper alterations. Hence, it is each individual’s responsibility to make sure that the mask meets the needed standards if used as PPE means. That is why if you choose to 3D print the mask models with the aim of subsequent distribution as PPE, it’s your personal responsibility for the items to correspond with the standard criteria. Also, kindly note that having stepped into the market of physical items one can face problems with big companies who deal with physical models and figurines of a similar niche. When talking about digital file and the personal use license that it comes with, then the author’s permission is perfectly enough. However, a physical item not only needs the permission of the 3D artist but also market license from appropriate enterprises or their representatives. Basically, in the worldwide market, there are rules for distribution of the physical goods and there is a fine line that can easily be overstepped. So, please, bear in mind that you also take the responsibility for the finished prints if you choose a further commercial activity with the masks models. We hope that the information we have provided did provide a clear answer to the questions you have had. For any further assistance, please contact us at support@gambody.com or via Facebook messages.

As mentioned on the page of Fun Face Masks for 3D Printing (www.gambody.com/3d-models/fun-face-masks), tab “Description”, section “Size and Adjustment”, each mask comes in 1:1 scale to fit an average adult face. What material do you use for your filters and where do you get them?
@Gambody_com
@Gambody_com 4 года назад
Please NOTE that in the first place the Fun Masks are designed for an amusing 3D printing time spending while everyone is having to stay at home. We have already mentioned it in the comments below that the primary intention of the items is to create entertainment moments of 3D printing and as a result, cool-looking 3D printed accessories without original protective purpose. The masks have no medical approval and we strongly urge 3D printing enthusiasts not to use non-verified 3D printed masks as PPE in medical facilities and in crowded venues. Should you be competent enough in the matter of personal protection measures, there’s a way to introduce some modifications to any of these 3D printing face masks in order to use it as an alternative to the regular PPE. Before doing any alteration, please make sure you take into consideration the importance of the step-by-step processing of the 3D printed mask, you can find the recommended procedure on the model’s page, tab “Description”. Kindly, see an abstract from the “Masks’ design and characteristics” paragraph: It is recommended to thoroughly (1) sand the surface of the mask under the tap water with progressively finer grits all the way to a smooth finish. (2) Add filler (spray or paste) all over the mask’s surface to make sure you fill all fine gaps between the layers. (3) Sand the mask again, this time without any water. (4) Cover the surface of the mask with thick coats of clear lacquer. (5) Use any rubber material (e.g. rubber window padding tape) to apply the rubber seal around the edge of the mask. Make sure you use non-toxic silicone or glue. (6) Seal the area around filters with re-usable o-rings, funky foam etc. Once any of the masks pass all these alterations, it is possible for you to reconsider the choice of the filters and as a protective alternative add some medically approved materials, such as elements of surgical masks. Stay safe and healthy!

And on the item’s page, you can find Doom, Sub-Zero, the Wasp, Immortan Joe and Bane masks. Currently, Gambody team is working towards the upcoming release of Darth Vader mask. You see, basically, the masks aim to recreate the distinctive trademark features of representatives of fictional characters. However, let us assure you that we always take into account the wishes and ideas of our customers so that you could have a wide variety of choices. So, we will be glad to add the Winter Soldier mask to our Wishlist, and it will be consequently considered for modelling by our contributing 3D artists. Models from the wishlist appear on our marketplace one by one after some time. What filter should inuse

Well, in the first place the Fun Masks are designed for an amusing 3D printing time spending while everyone is having to stay at home. The primary intention of the items is to create entertainment moments of 3D printing and as a result, cool-looking 3D printed accessories without original protective purpose.

Well, kindly note that on Gambody we don’t sell printed models and don’t provide 3D printing services. On our marketplace, you can purchase only STL files of high poly 3D printing models that are meant to be printed on a 3D printer. Therefore, those masks that you can see in the video are not representations of 3D printed Fun Masks models, but 3D visualisation that showcase the model you will receive having printed the model’s STL files on a 3D printer. So the masks you are seeing in the video are not models that were printed by means of 3D printer, hence none of the types of material is showcased. To find out more details about the items, please follow the link to the models’ page: www.gambody.com/3d-models/fun-face-masks. For any detailed information, you can contact us directly - either via Facebook messages or by writing to our Customer Support Department at support@gambody.com.
