In 1976 I was in the 6th grade and my math teacher would always give us a quarter every time the number 76 came up in a problem and the class would have to yell "1776! that's the Spirit!" 😊 Best Teacher ever

Yep same age as you and we had a little groups at school where we made early American crafts starting in '74 and '75. Everyone was in on it. Another interesting history story, loved it, my father was a baker and confectioner...I grew up in the back of a bakers shop to the smell of bread and cakes baking... yummy...I so miss his baking. My maiden name was England...so this story resonates with me. In 1976, I was 21, lived in Denver, Colorado, and worked on Capitol hill there. The city was amazing at that time, but it's really changed now. Candy, I appreciate your history stories and I love learning about it. Thank you so much for sharing ❤️

Love the history lesson! First I've heard of this fine patriot!! Sad what is happening to our great country ! Loe your gingerbread men!! I make them out of applesauce and cinnamon and thinking I will try dipping in wax! If you sell and ship I would be interested! My daughter loves them too!!
