This episode, especially Sue's speech, wrecks me every time. The bonds between Sue and Jean and Sue and Becky have always always belonged to my favorite things on Glee. I'm also glad that Terry got a good send off in this episode. Thanks for this reaction, can't wait to see the next one.
the performance at the end always gets me. sue's speech made my eyes watery, and kurt's opening line to "pure imagination" was the start to endless tears falling 💔
I am sooooooo appreciative that youre doing the reactions for Glee. Your thoughts and emotions give new insights to a few scenes on the show which is refreshing . Thank you for this!
It seems like the file you watched cut off the last gut punch from this episode. When watching it on streaming services it shows a final screen saying that the actress who played sues sister actually passed away in real life.
He didn't hate anyone. He just wanted to bring them down to favor Rachel and make up for what he did, which is just as wrong as if it was out of hatred.
@@Caprizonica With "hated" I mean he was just being rude to the other members for no reason, as they were all really good! But I know that deep down he just wanted to favor Rachel...
I mean out of all of the criticism he gave to everyone he actually hit the nail on the head with Mercedes. He did not go after her talent or voice because that was untouchable but her attitude was an actual issue.
Sue losing her wonderful, loving sister and then eventually having Becky to love her makes me cry. Plus, screw Jesse and his attempts to get into Rachel's pants, we all know Santana and Mercedes should have won!
Will is a hypocrite. He won’t allow Becky to join because he cares more about winning than giving her a place to belong which is what he’s been preaching about since glee began. That it’s a club open to all who want to join. It’s a bit rich of him to turn her away then go and yell at Sue.
I get what you're saying, but you have to be reasonable. In reality a coach would never let someone join just 1 week before a national championship. It makes no sense. Plus he knew her heart is in cheerleading, that's why he yelled at Sue about it.
@@caitlynskiff2001 He allowed Kurt back after he joined a competing team, and he brought in Lauren and Jacob Ben Israel right before sectionals, so when he needs the numbers, it's fine?
@@amywonderland9297 I mean Kurt was a former member and wasn't new to the group. But yeah I agree if he needed a member to make the 12 person minimum he would have accepted Becky.
@@amywonderland9297 when he brought in people before sectionals and regionals they still, pending a win, had a lot of the season left. Nationals is the very end of the year whether they win or not, so it doesn’t make sense to add anyone that late. In reality no one would add someone a week before a performance at all, nor would they still be determining what songs they would be singing. You practice for weeks/months to learn one show that you keep for an entire season/year. You don’t do new performances after each level of competition, and you would only bring in someone knew if you lost a member for some unusual reason.
I mean to be fair Jessie was kinda right when it came to his critique of Mercedes. Was he a jerk and bias yeah but at least with her it had quite a bit of truth.
@@panda22518 Because they did practice. Mercedes literally stated that she did not need to practice which was somewhat arrogant and lazy. I like Mercedes as much as the next person but he was right to call her out. again not the best way and was not with the greatest intentions but it was no less true.
@@masonguthrie1257 how do you know that they practiced? Kurt maybe that could be implied....but Santana? She just says she smokes cigars to get her rasp
Rachel deserved to win. Yes maybe it was a bit biased and Jesse should have criticized her the same as the others. All his criticisms were right… except for Kurt. Mercedes has a beautiful voice but is lazy, she’s arrogant and sloppy. Santana has no emotion when she sings and isn’t really into what she sings, it’s just for show. Kurt and Rachel slayed and my man hits every time🥲🥲
Try a Little Tenderness is the best performance from this episode. It's probably one of the greatest vocal performances in that decade. But people always just listen to what the show says. The whole point is that the competition was rigged for Rachel cause Jessie wanted her back. The show tries really hard to make Rachel more special than she actually is.
