Those mortars sure picked the juiciest target lol. Big F to those marines (I think its the right unit), absolutely obliterated

Funniest part is Jim was not even the player in front of him. He targeted the guy in front of me and him first then switched to target Jim. Jim's army was all bunched up and so vulnerable for that mortar attack. It was so dang funny

I have over 5000 hours of campaign playing (I don´t play competitive, just casual after work), and I had a situation happen that I couldn´t believe actually happened. I was so perplexed that I didn´t even click to save the video clip after the battle... LOL. So here is what happens: At some point in the campaign i can build ships of the line 2nd class, and usually 1 of these can mop up even sizable fleets of low tier ships, so i use them to solo patrol and kill fleets that want to raid or block trade ports. So I engage a single light galley with this Warship, a walk in the park. One broadside salvo usually does the job. My ship is undamaged, fresh out of the docks. I close to the galley and turn to give them a broadside, but ofcourse, since the galley has forward firing cannons, they fire off two cannon balls and: BOOM! My ship of the line 2nd Rate explodes in a ball of fire, battle lost. This never happened before in several thousand hours of playing the campaigns. 🤣 I had a minor funny glitch recently, again this also never happened before: I choose to fight a battle in southern France against a stack of Savoy forces, with I think the Dutch, but for sure a european great power: The battle screen loads and battle music that plays in the medieval2 total war Americas campaign, or if you have a battle in northern America vs indian tribes in empire total war appears. This also never happened before, quite amusing...

That is hilarious but sadly I can one up you I was doing a live steam few years ago don’t remember which nation and I had been fighting a naval battle with 1 5th rate vs a fleet of galleons and I was knocking out one ship after another had one left and it was waviering and boom forward cannons got me battle lost I had captured all but that one lol. Must have been close to an hour battle I was in shock. Lol those galleys pack a punch with their forward cannons too. Thanks again for the story I got a chuckle

I'll throw my funniest moment in, where on this campaign a while back (I think I was playing sweden), Persia naval invaded the Netherlands and took it completely out the blue. Sadly they didn't manage to hold onto it because they moved all their forces to the bridge and the rebellion just walked into the city. I might be able to one up you with the naval battle fara, playing as the Ottomans, start of the campaign the British combined all their starting naval forces round Britain (about full stack) and tried dumping troops into Rumelia. I had 1 5th rate and after an hour and a half going through every emotion possible I did it, 1 sloop routing the other 13 surrendered. I pressed continue battle, less than 1 second after I hit continue my 5th rate sunk (succumbing to the damage). I'd never been so upset and amused at the same time in my life

lol there is nothing worse than sinking after winning the battle you are right. Persia moving into the netherlands is crazy lol

Galleys are actually a super powerful unit when used with the wind directly behind them albeit a glass cannon. The reason is because cannons actually have different weighs of shell. And while the galleys have only 2-4 they are actually the heaviest class of cannon normally found only on the lower decks of super battleships.
