Was walking around randomly when this came up. I laughed out loud, heh. DISCLAIMER: All audio and video materials in this video are copyrighted to BioWare/Lucasarts, I do not own any of this content.
+Jorge Fuentes Well as they said on Korriban, not that many Sith know what she actually looks like. But yeah, walking around with her lightsaber should tip them off.
zachanikwano At these early levels it's better giving her a simple blade anyway - until she unlocks Improved 2-weapons fighting and improved flurry she'll just keep missing and will only be useful with her force powers.
Mission was just trying to have a normal girl-to-girl chat with Bastila, but Bastila took it way too seriously. You could almost say that “Mission failed.”
I liked it when Zaalbars father tried to reward you, and Zaalbar said he thought it was appropriate for te family sword to be rewarded to him. You can choose to respond "shut up, Zaalbar! I want some credits!"
0:29 - that droid reaction is priceless... he's like... ohh that girl is gonna get it... I better not be standing near her or else someone nearby might have an unknown to me magical powers that might knock me off my balance...
Best part is when jolee tells this long winded story about another jedi who “chosen by the force” and ended up fulfilling his destiny by being flung into a reactor and you can respond with: I hate you old man
Dude no joke when I got that scene Bastilla was glitched and was staring at my character and it seemed like she was saying “what the fvck is this old man talking about” it was hilarious
the one that always makes me laugh is when canderous says "At this point, Malak could drop out of the sky and i wouldn't bat an eyelash." that always cracks me up! XD
I don't know... there was one part in KotOR2 when you talk to Kreia at some point she says something about you trying to get with Visas Marr (the Miraluka Dark Jedi in the red robes)one of your dialog choices is "Just because I saved her doesn't mean I was going to charge up her loading ramp." Now THAT made me lol
Thanks for pointing out who Visas is. The players of KOTOR would have no idea who you’re talking about. Jesus Christ man why did you feel the need to explain to us who she is? Do you really think you’re the only nerd that plays KOTOR???
@@gunsharck Do you often make it a point to try picking fights on 13 year old comments? I don't even remember making this post, let alone my mindset at the time. Nor do I remember the part of the game I was referencing, and probably would have struggled to remember who I was talking about without the clarification.
@@RiskoVinsheen I will never understand, NEVER UNDERSTAND, why the fuck people continue to try to use the age of a comment as some sort of argument. Who the fuck cares how old a comment is? You responded to it right away, so it makes even less sense. Did it lose value? Delete it. Otherwise why bring it up?
Tragically, according to BioWare, a lot of the content that ended up in The Old Republic was originally slated to be in a *direct* sequel to KOTOR II: The Sith Lords-- named (natch) KOTOR III. It actually had been in advanced preproduction at BioWare, before LucasArts hitting a rough patch financially forced them to scrap it. Ah, what could've been though...
Maybe it's for the best, if the storyline from SWTOR is really what they were going for. It's perfectly fine on its own, but I don't think it works that well as a continuation of the KOTOR series. Too tonally and thematically discordant.
KOTOR II being so unfinished as a game did not help matters, you play through it and it's VERY clear that it was unwillingly pushed out the door before finishing touches could be made. Even the Devs admitted it was unfinished and that they wanted to release a finished version but the studio refused to let them (I think it was just before things like day one updates became a thing too sadly).
I wish there was a KOTOR 3 with a storyline that goes like when The exile dives into the unknown corners of the galaxy in search of Revan and then they both going after the true lords of sith (The sith was said to be a red coloured species) and that followes.....
Hooray for random YT algorithm. This video is almost 15 years old! But now I wanna go back and play KotOR again. Especially because EA ran SWtoR into the ground with their damned paywalls and P2W shenanigans. Supposedly they backpedaled and opened things up again, but I've already been burned worse than Vader.
I think they ended it pretty well, after all, Revan fought the Grandmaster of the Jedi Order, a Dark Council Member, an SIS agent, a Sith Lord, a Wookie, Mand'alor, Darth Nox, Darth Imperius, the Battlemaster of the Jedi, the Barsenthor of the Jedi, the guy that killed the voidwolf, Havoc Squad, Cipher 9, Mand'alor's Champion, and his own force ghost, only to end it by *choosing* to die, pretty epic ending, not the biggest fan of what happened after he was rescued but I do like the ending
tell me about it, i'm often like "wow i really missed the bus, i could've been a cool video game youtuber before it got big and the market was flooded"
It depends on who you take. At that exact spot on Taris, the exchange happens between the two characters you have with you. I chose to take Bastila/Carth always so I got to see them arguing about whether Revan/Malak did the right thing by going off to aid the Republic in the Mandalorian Wars.
KOTOR and Fallout New Vegas probably have the best writing in a video game since the 2000's. I'm probably a missing a few but there were few games that could touch these masterpieces in terms of dialogue.
Carth: I'm not a Killer, I'm a Soldier. I protect people. Canderous: Whatever helps you sleep at night. Carth: Yeah well the Republic beat the Mandalorians, so... Canderous: The Republic didn't beat us. Revan beat us. Carth: Whatever helps you sleep at night. (Paraphrased)
I think she used the Force to make her trip, but since the only time someone falls forward in this game is when they're killed, she fell backward instead.
Bastilla gave into tempation too many times. More so if you get into the dark side version of the holocron quest for her mother. Probably what lead her to being "converted" by Malak.
Can't forget when you first get the miner's outfit in KotOR2 and you're a woman. Female Exile: "Looks like theres some clothes in here too." Atton: Damn! I mean...
This game man. My childhood was so much better because of it. Best game ever made and the 2nd is almost as good! It has better features like influence and turning your companions into Jedi or Dark Jedi. The first has a better story but if 2 wasn’t rushed I’m sure that would be just as good.
I didn't realize that these were tell tale signs that bastila was already showing sings of being too much like a sith than a jedi. She is prideful, arrogant, selfish, jealous, and abusive in her power.
