For this third demo for Meinl Percussion, I chose the song "Fusion," written by my friend, drummer and producer extraordinaire Gorden Campbell.
This song was so fun to track to as it's so intense. My goal was to channel that feel, but also layer fundamental timekeeping parts (shaker, cajón, mounted tambourine) and colors, and get a nice flow on congas.
Enjoy! 😎 (and don't forget to check out the curved Ergo Percussion Table I'm using, which I designed for Meinl 🤘🏼)
