When it comes to football stadiums it isn’t just the NFL teams that get the star treatment. States and universities are willing to shell out millions of dollars to give their football teams, and athletic programs the best stadium their money can buy. Here is a list of multiple college football stadiums which are due for some major renovations over the next couple of years, and some of the stadiums on this list will be replacing old ones that are set to be demolished. Rather it's because the football stadium is a victim of time and the elements, or the college decided the stadium was due for a major upgrade. Every stadium on this list is either new or undergoing some major renovations.

My grade school was right by Aloha stadium. They had just started building it when I started kindergarten-3rd grade. The stadium always looked like a rust bucket. Even when it opened.

University of Syracuse at Carrier Dome does need a major face lift by turning into a outdoor football stadium with retractable roof is none other than Carrier Stadium that they might like. Also, Caesar's Superdome in New Orleans, LA does also need a huge facelift turning into Caesar's Stadium with retractable roof with more seats and VIP club seats and more that the City of New Orleans, LA might like.

Penn State should do like Texas A&M and teardown the stadium and rebuild it in sections over a few years. They can put skyboxes on both sides.

Clemson is almost essentially just getting “normal” renovations and isn’t a big deal. As for Penn State. $500 million JUST for renovations?!? WTF. Tear that monster down and start new if it’s going to be that much!! 😒😬😧

Ojala en un futuro se crea un club de fútbol en Hawái y un pequeño estadio para este porque no es popular allí y por la baja población que tiene, espero que tomen apunte los de la MLS ya que solo les falta un club para completar los 30 clubes de la MLS y es el Sacramento Republic que por ahora está en la US Championship, ojala que amplien dos clubes más y salen 32, 16 por cada Conferencia

San Diego state built a new stadium. I watched tv news talk about. Then I watched one of their first home games and it was half full at best. Hi tuition and millions spent on a stadium that doesn't draw fans.???

Football is one of the few sports for most universities that makes money, usually enough money to cover the other sports. One of the reasons why tuition is so expensive, is because college loans is backed by the government. So colleges can charge whatever they want, and we will pay or the government goes after us.

I don't think tuition fees are used towards these stadiums, I could be wrong. If you want to make tuition more affordable as other reply to you said get government out of backing student loans. Encourage through legislation and tax code employers to hire employees who don't have degrees. Many jobs require a degree to even get an interview but the degree itself is not necessary. Lastly cut all the nonsense social studies programs that are using up resources.

Many colleges pay for these through donations, grants, and money set aside for athletics alone. This wouldn’t affect tuition rates as much if at all like people would assume

Pay attention to what's going on. Many major colleges largest source of revenue is their football program. In fact the football program is helping the fund academics.
