thank you for your expert and detailed explanation of how the regulator works. This sort of information is absolutely priceless for any amature airgun tinkerers like me who would like to get the most from their airguns.
One of your best videos. Lots of tremendous information, thank you. Always wondered what that plug was for that is located below and behind the power wheel. Now I know. 🙂
Dear Ernest , it was very useful . Please let us more about the details of spring discs also . and the differences of Gen1 & Gen2 & Gen3 spring discs , specially the size and quantity of them .thanks again
Thank you for this info I've never have had creep only when I'm adjusting the reg it creeps then it settles in ... 160 bar 25 cal 700mm its a beast of an air gun
Ernest on my Crown MK2 .25 is it normal for the reg pressure to go up about 5 bar over night after shooting the day before? Going from 145 to 150 overnight. Doesn’t seem to be any noticeable difference while shooting. Something I need to address or is it normal?
you prolly dont give a shit but if you guys are stoned like me during the covid times then you can stream all the latest movies and series on InstaFlixxer. Have been binge watching with my gf for the last few days xD
Hi Ernest nice video with all details and thanks to share it with us. What about the Bellville washers, do thay effect reg creep? Can polish the better reg perform too?
Hi Ernest, I produce my regulators on a manual lathe. can I ask you some technical infos? 1st I use 0,25 mm drill for pressure adjustment screw. What is the drill diameter you used? 2nd. what is the material you used for pistons and the last question is I want to buy a cnc lathe for these kind of production. Which brand/model you suggest? My job is part time like hobby. I ve a pcp workshop, compressors, filling air, selling scba cylinders etc... Thnx from Turkiye
I have a maberick vp in .30 cal with the second regulator at around 140/145 bars. It creeps like 5 to 10 bars after a couple of hours. Do you think i should increase the reg pressure a little more? Like 155? Thank you.
Thanks, Ernest, for sharing your expertise about regulated HPA. Wouldn't it make sense to polish the inside edges of the cupped Belleville springs, so the seal is even tighter?
I just polished both regs on the m3 22 cal 700mm both regs are holding perfect no re stacking of washers like someone said to do first reg is 190 bar sec is 155 bar 32.8 gr vk at 1000fps plus 👌
Chris.. You have the M3?!! How is it? I've tried every liner and everything I can, but my dreamline just won't shoot slugs well.. I'm seriously contemplating getting an Impact for a slug setup. My main two concerns; Are they as big of a hassle as people say, or are they generally a solid and reliable platform? And secondly,, for slugs out to 150, what caliber is best? Ive heard 22.. Maybe the lil slugger with 800 barrel? Im between 22, 30, or just geting the M3 .35 and knocking shite over with gigantic pellets.. School me brother, please..
@@BouncyThrone well I got my m3 set up to shoot 33 zan at 995 and it's perfect when I bought it I had to tune it a bit but thst it set and forget the mk2 25 is a whole different store I've had a few problems set it up at first it shot slugs well then now it doesn't so fx usa is sending me so.e parts to see if that the problem but yeah the m3 is most accurate air gun I have ever shot out to 200 yards sub moa groups can't go wrong brother in 22 is what I got
@@chrisfigueroa3361 Damn.. that's putting out the same power level as my 30 cal dreamline.. I've had no real experience with 22 cal in pcp.. Would a heavy slug for caliber like those 33's still be a bit light for boiler room shots on coyotes at a 100?
I have a dream tac bottle, put larger plenum like the ones you make on it. I feel I am having some creep issues. So is it possible that having oversize plenum, causing it to creep. What should I do about that? Also, sometimes, when taking off bottle. My air exits the plenum and gun. Any suggestions? Thanks
May take more time to fill the plenum that may looks like a creep. You have to time when the plenum stabilized. Or restock S-washers to allow more clearance to increase fill rate. The pressure from the bottle keep pressure on piston shut if removed the plenum will dump the plenum at any given time.
I tried rebuilding my reg with new piston and washers. Once back together I could only get up to 50 bar no matter how far out I turn adjuster screw. Went back to old piston and washers and all good at 166 but with 10 Bar creep. Got any idea?
Hello, i've got the reg rebuilding kit i haven't used it yet, i also got a kit from huma for the impact x reg, any videos in the future on how to use them ?
hi sir,i have a problem with my brand new maverick sniper shot to shot regulator is working great but after 5 to 20 minute velocity drops 30 to 40 fps.what i do.please
Hi Ernest, thnx for the video. Tried to find those microfiber cloths you are using but can’t find them. Can you send a link? (maybe eBay or Amazon) thnx! Your the best!!
Now I have a big problem with my fx m3 22 it's doesn't want to let air in the plenum it only fills to 100 bar and the adjustment screw is almost going to fly out ... I think its the bellville washers are to thin or worn out I don't know but I need to fix it that's why I've been watching every single video on the regs so I can get info on how to fix it
I was reading the comments trying to find this exact answer, and it dawned on me, the orifice in the brass adj screw is in the center, so the two domes seal it off when they are touching. Im sure the delrin is somewhat malleable and comforms to the screw under pressure.
how do you change the regulator adjustment screw o rings? ive tried and failed they keep breaking, please made a video if there is a trick to changing them, thanks Ernest
I agree, the delrin should be slightly beveled to match the adjustment screw, this video I feel is just to appease the guys that have to fiddle with stuff, it is a manufactured defect and…..
@@Zanin22do NOT do it, if you have a significant amount of creep, a slight amount over a period of time is completely normal, then you need new regulator.
