G37 vs G37S features 

The S doesn't just have bigger rotors, it also has 4 piston calipers up front.

Screw all these features! The g37 S has LSD, regular g37 doesn't. Thats a huge difference he failed to mention

Also, if you want a manual, you have to have the S. It's not available on the other models. Additionally, the bigger sport brakes package is standard on the S. (Optional on the Journey, I believe). They have much bigger calipers with two pistons per side on the rear and four per side on the front.

Both vehicles are mechanically interchangeable if you want to spend some money you can add paddle shifters or a different front bumper to the regular model. The only thing you cant get is a manual transmission.

I must have gotten ripped off. My sport model doesn't have the paddle shifters. I just have a clutch pedal and the 6MT... Nuts

G37S is actually a lot faster having the gigantic brakes, sport suspension/steering and a must have VLSD. Straight line they would be pretty identical if using the same tires but on a track an S would take a non S any day

Some major differences this video missed are... Limited slip differential, rear tire width (s comes with 245 instead of 225), close ratio transmission, and faster shift times using manual shifts on auto, stiffer suspension (slightly rougher ride)

i have an S i think they should've gave it a little more horsepower than the base model

I bought my 2013 G37 sedan as an automatic and have manual swapped in and boosted it. It’s fun to modify, may go for TT next year or the year after

The S has a limited slipp diff too..

Not everyone know that if you get paddle shifters from crushed infiniti you can install it on the regular and make it s model because every regular infiniti has those wires under the steering whell that allows you to install paddleshifters that will wokr perfect 👌

I've owned 2 of them both 6mt and I have no complaints... I've actually raced that new q60s and it was pretty impressive he was all wheel drive paddle shift and of course I'm rear wheel but he would get me on the launch and then I would pass him every time but just like the 6mt model shifts at 7500rpm the 7spd automatic does also it's pretty quick but the awd model is a couple hundred pounds heavier and and limited compared 2 a 6mt...

Good question, now that I think about it I, the g37x is probably safer to drive and more practical, especially in the winter. However they also make a G37xs with the features of both. Rwd cars my be more fun to drive because you can drift a little, but all wheel drive can be fun too due to the slightly better grip and therefore acceleration. I haven't had a chance to compare the car to other awd cars, however, I think they would be in the same class performance wise, but there are trade-offs.

In your opinion...which is better? The g37s or the g37x? On curvy roads i see the potential for an awd coupe over the rwd, but I personally think life is a little more interesting when the back end decides to step out a bit....right of passage so to speak for "Good" drivers. But especially performance wise vs other all wheel drive cars like the subaru and evo, would the g37x be up there with them or more like the fat kid trying to fit in?

Lol what about the lsd that comes on the sport model? Forgot that one...

With the way to find out if it has navigation, some cars like the scion tc have that map button but don't have the navigation feature so be careful

Are the 2008 S’ different? My car even says G3S on the ownership, but has no paddles, no sport seats, feels like it has the VLSD. Kinda strange, especially because it says G3S and it has an S badge

Also when you slide it to the left it goes into DS mode which has a more agressive shifts holds the gear longer overall screw Manuel and get the 7 speed auto with the DS. G37s best buy over stock also the G37S gets the Helical limited slip diff that is found on the 370 Nismo you get a lot for the S! Way better than the Germans too!!!

When comparing all G37 models to the G37x, or any other "AWD" car for that matter, they are only comparable under certain driving conditions. Unlike an EVO or Subaru which are full time AWD, the G37x model is a full time RWD vehicle, same as any other G37 model and only becomes AWD when rear wheel slippage occurs, and even then it only sends 50% of the power to the front wheels. So when it comes to acceleration or windy roads, the G37 and G37x perform and feel the same until rear wheel slippage

I highly doubt they add the "s badge" to the "non-S model" then remove it. I think they just never add it :).

My g37s doesn’t have that lip at the front bumper. Has everything else though? Extended seats, paddle shifters and is automatic.

With the paddle shifter can you down shift to brake aggressively as you could do with a manual?

I have a 2007 Nissan skyline which is exactly the same other than that seems to be appointed far better than a premium it looks like they took the poverty pack version stuck a few more bells and whistles on it and called it an infinity and now they're flogging it off to you guys as a premium model but if you go to Japan and buy the premium model skyline you'll find it's far more premium and it's still where's Nissan nameplate

I have the convertible in automatic and mine has just about everything on the S. Minor Cosmetic options don’t bother me none.

I'm not sure where you are getting your information that the RWD accelerates faster, but it doesn't. AWD, even on regular roads without snow has better grip, and will accelerate faster. Also, AWD will be safer in the winter because all 4 wheels are getting power, resulting in less slipping. In a RWD, only the back two wheels get the power, causing a difference in power of front and back wheels, causing more slip, even if there is a limited slip differential.

base g37 sedan is faster than any other model g stock vs stock becuase it is lighter. It may not handle as well but in a straight line no other stock g is faster. Do your research first

The biggest difference is the gearing ratio. It makes the car a lot faster Hard to explain so you should look it up on nissans website but basically the gearing is a good amount shorter than the normal g37. Seats and cosmetics like that shouldn't even be noted. Dumb video.

How come it's basically just Mazda and BMW who have the correct orientation of the + / - on the shifter? :P On newer cars it might be a non issue, since they have paddles, but still. Pulling the stick TOWARDS YOU when braking is just wrong :P Nice cars non the less :) Having a 09 325 now but the S37S is a possible future car :P Here in Sweden they are super rare imports though, so not sure about insurance and that stuff :P
