Same here JDM guy too yeah those E92 m3 are nice don’t like the new ones still would buy one over the new style mmm well I’d buy an f80 that’s far as I would go
@@DjNikGnashers ive driven both. B58 is a powerful modern engine, a great upgrade from n54/n55. But it is nothing like an S65 in terms of characteristics.
@@21sausage9 Of course it isn't, the S65 is a naturally aspirated V8, and the B58 is a turbocharged straight 6. They are completely different. I don't remember saying they were similar ? The initial comment was - the S65 has got to be the best engine BMW has ever made. My point was that the B58 is the best.
@@DjNikGnashers what I’m saying is the best engine bmw has ever made is for sure not B58. I won’t even mention S58 let alone B58. I personally don’t think S65 is their best ever, but B58 is a joke to S65 when it comes to uniqueness and characteristics.
BMW is pressing the automotive “journalists” HARD to put the idea out there that the new M3/M4 isn’t hideous. However, it’s a case of the emperor has no clothes!! They can all wax on and on about how this car looks better in person. However I’ve seen it in person several times, and what my eyes tell me is that it looks like a beaver on Meth! It’s fugly no matter what they try to tell me. Dynamically it may be capable, but aesthetically it’s monstrous.
Absolutely agree. The G82 doesn't look AS bad in person and in the right colour. But as soon as you put it next to an E92 it really shows how ugly the new car is. I think the only body shape I still like in the current BMW lineup would be the M5. And even then, I prefer the pre-LCI to the squarer look of the facelift.
Loved the video! Great editing, just here to say the E92 M3 is the best looking M of all time, a future classic. And that sound of the S65 is unmatched, S85 sound is different and great but i love that s65 v8 sound.
My first bmw was a E92 m3 bought in 2012 . Drank the cool aid and purchased a 2015 m4 . Modded it the best I could and just couldn’t get the same experience that I did with the e92 , so I sold it … few yrs later I’m driving the E92 again and I’m never looking back .. the m cars of new are not true m cars that are engaging , What a shame . Luckily you can still find some good examples of the e92 around. Don’t forget about the e46 Just my 2 cents
I'm sorry but the G82 leaves alot to be desired in the looks dept. I mean I just cant wrap my head around the grills.... I e92 is an absolute beauty and has the sound to go with it....
Owned E36M3, E46M3, E46M3 CSL, V 10 M6 , E92M3 special edition, F80M4 ….. by far best drivers car was the CSL and then E46M, but heavenly sound E92M3 hands down!!!! Every time I jumped out of the M4 into the E92M it put a smile on my face. F80M4 does everything brilliantly, but it’s a boring experience compared to the E92M, I suspect it will be the same with this new M4. Can’t beat an NA motor … 8300rpm V8 !!!!
when you have both side by side, there is no way i can think the g82 looks better - i cant take my eyes of the e92, just sexy beast. the g82 looks like a dayam crossover suv lol.
Thank you for the cool video. The paddle shifts through the canyon are awesome. I was on the fence about a f80 because of the more aggressive looking front end but you can’t beat that bulge on the hood of a e90(x). Then you get that beast of exhaust sound. So pushing me towards the e90. I like 4 doors. You have a cool whip.
my e90 m3 def has me on the edge of my seat as a rev it out, it's always teasing me to bring the RPM higher because I know it's going to make even more power if I do. Have not driven the new M3/M4 yet but not surprised if it doesn't beg you to rev it like the s65.
A few months ago I sold my '11 Interlagos Blue e90 M3 after 5 years of ownership. Lack of tech, lack of low end torque and the constant threat of something breaking like RB's, TA's and various other stuff is what ultimately pushed me to sell. I miss it, I miss the sound of the s65 and feel of the steering...however it was time.
Unfortunately you’re in the minority on this and sales reflect that. However I feel confident you’ll get over it over time. I suggest pills whiskey and self-help tapes.
@@7oyful yeah man makes total sense to me. Most people go and spend $90,000 on ugly shit just because they can go outside again. Hell I bought some ugly shit yesterday for 90 K just for fun. Because it absolutely can’t have anything to do with the fact that more people like this then it’s predecessors. That has nothing to do with it.
I have an E92 M3 had an E46 M3 before and honestly don’t know if i’ll get an F-Chassis M car. From the reviews i’ve watch comparing the two I don’t know if it’s worth sacrificing the high revving V8 for more performance
Your e92's (sound) is obnoxious because of the decat and pipes 😛 lol. Looks good though 😎. Don't you guys have speed ramps in towns and cities out there? There's now way that super low front lip would get over speeds ramps here!
On appearance the e92 M3 looks so beautiful and aggressive compared to the alien look of the M4. They've stripped away the personification of the front end and brought in a lifeform from space. Also PRO TIP: remove the THICC air freshener lol
The e92 is one of the best looking non- supercars of all time in my opinion. Sharp enough to look aggressive but not too busy and over designed like the newer bmw's; not every inch of the car had to have a line on it. I like the way the f gens look but there is just a little bit too much going on in my opinion. The E92 on the other hand is the perfect balance of classiness and sportiness with those meaty fenders and the power dome. As for the G80, I'm convinced the BMW design team just got done with a massive crack smoking sesh when they rendered the thing.
When you drive a new car from BMW your always going to have a smile on your face, curious to how the car is and your new to this new car and its connection it gives you, you will still enjoy it, he probably was having more fun because the e92 he is use to and G82 to him was different. the G8X chassis is going to be a faster car than e92 on track and straights lien but it doesnt give you the e92 feel of connection, it doesnt give you the simple motorsport M car feeling of the 2000s.
@@aidenp5768 this is completely false. You can drive a brand new car and hate it, dread it, and can’t wait to get back into your old car. You can not fake genuine happiness and desire. His words said e92, his face said g82. I’m not going to dissect it any more than that because I may or may more include my own bias much like you are doing now, I simply spoke to what I observed. He couldn’t hide his enjoyment of the g82.
@@LegendInThaMakin With a BMW I stated..too hard to tell. You can drive a brand new car and hate it but that line right there rarely happens with BMW, Porsche or cars of that nature. Especially with an M3. I’m not bias towards an E92 or a G82 I don’t own none of them 2. But happy and enjoyment for BMW is hard to explain you can basically be happy with a newer BMW handles but still hands down love the feel of the old one way more. Example I have an E53 X5 04 LCI M54 I6, I drove the newest X5 40i B58, it was way faster, handles better way more dynamic and fuel efficient but I still hands down prefer the experience of my lighter, hydraulic steering and raw N/A sound of the M54 way more. I could be smiling from the new X5s speed and how it handles but I will still stick to the original because it has other qualities that impressed me.
@@aidenp5768 I unno bout that, when I owned a tuned e90 335i and I drove brand new (at the time) f30 335i’s and 328’s all the time and I thought they were lame compared to my car. I later bought an e92 m3, the new m4 didn’t impress me much when I finally drove it and it was faster than my m3. I’ve driven x3s and x5s and none made me happier than my m3. If I drive the new g82 m4 and love it then I love it. My point remains, can’t hide genuine desire, brand new bmw or not. All I’m saying is he LOOKED like he was having way more fun in the new m4 than his m3. That’s all.
what did you do to those lights on e92? very cool. and how much did those things cost. Other than the lights, the mods inside are tacky. red cluster dials cheapen the look.
E92 is the most gorgeous Bmw of all time that an the e36, how can you hate on a naturally aspirated v8 too… and a way more connected driving experience 🤷🏽♂️
Supercharger. No production m3 will provide the excitement, speed, thrill, or performance of it. And if u do decide the g80 m3 after supercharging, like I am, any bmw following it will suffice as a sporty driver.
@@champbrady633 I agree, I gotta at least give it a shot with the SC first! I owned an F80 and that thing was so boring so I figure the G80 is probably the same or worse 😩
@@micraw714 sounds you like u know ur cars bro. I didn't have to buy the f80 to know it was not a true M. Wat it does right is boost in ur back and good planted suspension. Everything else about it did not scream race car to me. My e93 is at solo motorsports now getting VF supercharger installed. Prior to, it was full stage 2 with pulley. Much faster than an f80 m3 ran. Last week I ran with one from a 60 and 100 roll. From 60 I left him by about 4 to 6 car lengths. From 100 he gave up after I put about 80 yards between us. Damn near a field bro. The g80 m3 has a little e9X 🧬 and obviously some f80 🧬 mixed into it. It's a better turbocharged successor to the e9X than the f80 attempted to be. I'm purchasing it next. My new daily. Then I'm getting rid of my 550i m sport
@@champbrady633 wow that's dope! I bet your E93 will be a beast with that supercharger! Ideally, I think an E9X and a G8X is a killer combo 😁 I got destroyed on the highway the other night in my E92 by a new 992 Turbo S and that really motivated me to get something fast again. Currently I have my E92 and also a 981 Cayman S. The Cayman is amazing around corners but not very quick so I'll probably part with that one.
@@micraw714 yea good old porsche. They are nightmare for anybody. Similar engineering with germans. rev matching and building good power as they go. U supercharge that e92 and the next time u come across that porsche, u gonna ruin his day.
People dont want to see the beauty of the G82.. MASSIVE Restyling that absolute crushes any other car in this class! Just wait till there are more Aeroparts out for the car and any previous M3 will be looking bad! (Comes from a guy who absolutely admires the E92 and E46)
The modern day BMW’s from a looks perspective have gone down hill for me, I’ve owned an E30, E36s and E46s and still own for 5 years now an E46 330 m sport convertible manual, and will eventually change it for an E46 335, I’ve driven a 2015 M4 and loved that, so yeah, it’s just the looks of the brand new BMWs 👎🏻
