That Kevlar case with those red accents looks really good. They match the interior of my 2020 STI

What worries me about this case is that the sides DO NOT go higher than the screen glass itself. I always break my phones from face down drops and I feel this case is going to have the same outcome. Wish these companies would make a fully encased phone case.

I love my UAG carbon fiber Monarch case for my Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. So I checked out Amazon for the S22 Ultra hoping to get another carbon fiber case...🤯 💥 Boom! Kevlar? Yeah baby. Red accents? $80? Who cares, take my money. Just fidgeting with my case and waiting for the phone to come. UAG case is a one and done purchase. The honeycomb rubber texture is something Batman would use. Dropped my phone umpteen times: the phone just bounces like foam dice. If UAG needs a salesman, I'm applying... but the cases just seem to sell themselves.

Since the Galaxy S8, the first thing I do after pre-ordering my phone, is buy a UAG case. UAG is one of the very few companies that puts out amazing looking cases while protecting as good if not better than other bulky rugged case companies, all while have a slim profile.

I have a UAG case on my iPhone XS Max for over 3 years now. The case has normal wear like scratches and a little cut but I can honestly say this case protected my phone very well. I have a monarch coming in the mail for my S22 ultra.

Managed to get one of these from Verizon for $20. Wanted something a bit lighter than OtterBox but offered good protection.

FYI: This is the only Monarch case of the UAG Monarch line that is $80. UAG has other Monarch cases with other material like carbon fiber, leather, etc... and those cases are $60. This case is $80 because of the Dupont Kevlar on the back.

This case seems pretty solid, the only downside I can think of is the price, which is quite high.

I love my S21 ultra 5G UAG Monarch Carbon fiber case. I I have had it for a year, and it is awesome. I use the Otterbox defender case for my job as a Mechanical Technician and a facilities technician . A great video, Jeff, as always. Happy Friday, and have a great weekend, brother.

If UAG found a way to blend in a neat looking kickstand in their cases not lifting higher than the rest of the case their cases would beat out all the other competition being the complete package in my oninionl

Is there any extra space around the camera openings where the ESR camera protectors would fit?

I love the UAG cases but the back of the case does not have large enough flat space to add things to it.

I need a clear case to finally ( when I get it mid-march )show off my Limited Edition Red S22 Ultra 1TB when I get it case looks nice but won't show the red off unless they have a clear one I did not see.

I love this case. Have it for my 22 Ultra. one thing that concerns me is the lack of screen protection on the left and right sides of the case. Has anyone done a drop test outside on rough sidewalks or anything?

Really loving the Kevlar Monarch. Hopefully I'll be able to get one when I get the S22U and fingers crossed the rubber doesn't disintegrate on me again 😅

I'm returning the Kevlar one and buying the carbon fiber one. I don't like that the back is a woven finish. I feel like the cloth will start snagging and pill up in time.

Those cases take some beating. I rock a uag case for my s21 ultra. Which I will be keeping. I love my phone.

I have this case paired with the Whitestone Dome screen protector and it's amazing.

uag cases are only cases I use I use monarch carbon fiber case on my note 20 ultra and I've dropped it many times no issues I ordered carbon fiber case for my s22 ultra I could not justify 20.00 more for Kevlar case since virtually same case I also ordered uag plyo case it also looks awesome now I just need my s22 ultra!!!

I've see the deep test on this phone and the camera lens will crack. Yes the test was done without a case on it, saying that the camera lens are still the leak spot on this phone. Unless it's a full body case $80 is a ripoff. Period!

I just bought this case, and I love it. I'm also using individual glass screen protectors for the 5 camera modules and they fit perfectly with this case on.

Yes, the build quality of any UAG case is excellent

The area above the pen is the weak point on this case because it can peel back, exposing the lower corner of the screen if it hits the ground, face down, like skipping a stone.

Is this compatible with ESR Lens protector?

I'm hoping the Kevlar series will be available for the S21 Ultra series. The black with those red accents looks sick. Currently rocking the Monarch (in Mallard colour) for my S21 Ultra.

30 extra dollars for some Kevlar decoration? It doesn't add any protection. I'm pretty sure it's glued on like the leather on the 50 dollar version.

I've had the S22 Ultra for about a month. I bought an otterbox defender pro and within a day I returned the otterbox and bought this UAG with kevlar. Now that I've had this case for about a month, I'm very disappointed that the Kevlar is getting really fuzzy. Is anyone else here having this same problem?

Are the edges raised all the way around, or just on the top and bottom?

Have used the same case on my S21U and S20+. Best case I've ever used.

I picked one up..the one major complaint is the super cheap feeling plastic on the border. Some softer touch material would have went a long way for making this case feel way more premium.

Yo Jeff, I've been looking to buy this case for a while now but idk if it really is worth $80 for the case, or even the extra $20 over the CF or the Leather Monarch. Now that you've had this UAG Monarch Kevlar for 3 months +, how has it held up? Does it pick up pocket lint? Is it hard to clean the Kevlar? Has it had any discoloration? Has the Kevlar been fraying over time?

Love my tech21 cases. Have dropped them several times no issue. Only time I've cracked a phone was with otterbox case.

They have a limited edition olive green kevlar version. They run out fast.

Hey Jeff i like that Case very much maybe and i mean maybe I'll pick it up i usually use all of Samsung's cases but most of them are on backorder till April or March so I'll have to wait but if I can get this one I know the price is steep but looks like a good case and besides I'm going to hold on to this phone for a while 👍

Hi, just got the same case for my S22 ultra, and while it looks great, and claims 20 ft drop protection, I dont't know if it can compare to the Otterbox Defender which claims Military drop protection at ONLY 6 ft. Plus, the lip extension on the Defender is significantly better. I'm no Mechanical engineer, but the 5 layers of deeply integrated protection exceeds the quite visible 3 or 4 layers of the Defender. In addition, the Monarch is Whitestone dome compatible while the Otterbox defender is not. Which is the Better protecting case, The screen is exposed with the defender, unless another screen protector is used? ( Am Film, Zagg, etc ) Thank you.

Just got this case, unfortunately it makes the phone feel huge. Coming from a Samsung leather case and It's much better in the hand.

How does this compare to the Otterbox Symmetry Case? That is the case im currently using but it is a bit slippery.

I think the issue with this case is going to be on the back where those cameras are cut out because it seems more flush than other cases with huge and raised cutouts. From the drop testing I recently watched in YT the camera lens are surprising and vulnerable if it's dropped on them. The case looks fantastic and I do like the lens cut out but I think it's going to be an issue if dropped on those lens. Guess we shall see.

I got the regular black model, I don't like how the kevlar has those extra groove/divits carved in.

Kevlar does absolutely nothing for protection... but definitely cool. It doesn't compare to the defender case 4x military standard protection though

Is it ok to not use tempered glass with this case? Will it look good on Burgundy color Variant?

$80 and no camera lense protection? Doesnt even look like u can add lense protection. Uag made good cases… but they need to up their game to current phones. We now have camera lenses that bump out that need to be covered. We now have curved displays… one drop on the edge of the phone and your screen will crack on the curve. The bezzels of the case need to be raised above the screen like top and bottom. $80 for this case and u will get the same protection as any case on Amazon for $30 or less. Imo uag is waaaay over priced and not worth the cost nowadays.

These covers were once beautiful, but the edges were very pointy.

Is the side bezel raised up at all to protect the screen? I had a otter box defender on my note 20 ultra and dropped it on a curb due to my dog chasing a squirrel and ripping the leash out of my hands and it landed just right to crack the entire screen due to the side bezels not being raised

they did a drop test for the S22 Ultra. they dropped in on the back and it completely shattered the Camera lens. will this case protect the camera lens?

Now I'm waiting on my Samsung Screen Protector & Rear Camera Lense Protectors for my 512g S22 Ultra. After watching PBKreviews Drop Test. You'll want it all!! This Ultra is a fragile phone! The rear cameras were destroyed beyond use on the 1st drop! 😳 Also, I was watching a Livestream review & all the S series would only drop to 24 Hertz, not to 1 hertz like advertised for the Ultra. If you go into Developer Options, click on, Show Refresh Rate & it'll be displayed on the top left corner. If your not touching it, it's sits at 24h, soon as you touch it? It jumps to 120h. Which is fine by me. I'm coming from a Note 10 Plus. So a definitely upgrade for me..

Ehh I pre-ordered the Dbrand Grip Case. I needed something that will also give me wireless charging in the car on my mount. This case looks good but it's way too overpriced, 10% of the price of the S22 lol.

I don't understand why UAG is so expensive. I bought a latercase which is solid Dupont Kevlar and was only 45$

No edge protection, I got a vrs design model terra guard at Amazon for $17 and seems better for edge protection

I've been on the UAG for all my Galaxy Notes. My incoming S22U is no different. But with the advent of bezeless phones and curved screens, it's been difficult to look for a suitable screen protector. Has anyone found 1 that would fit this combo perfectly?
