hi, thanks for the video, i have changed the charging port of my galaxy s5 (g900m) 3x times and it have the same error every single time, the back buttom doesn´t work right it turns on and off and stop working randomly so i think that the problem is the logic board and not the charging port, could u help me to fix it please? i will really aprecciate it
thank you for this video. I have a question. can I use a AT&T motherboard in a sprint phone. this is for the s5. will sim work? will it fit? any issues that u know of?
Sr. I just want to change de logic board, so I'm confused, because, I had a s4 and the screen came with the frame. It's not the same talking about S5? mandatory I have to take off the screen/display? Thank's a lot.
Smart Easy Repair thanks for replying.. I have an s5 neo with broken screen and one with bricked motherboard.. how likely am I to break the screen if I transfer it from the bricked one to the broken one?! Thanks
i need my photos off my broken s5 (screen and housing) so i was wondering if i take the logic bored out and put it on a new s5 will it work straight away?
My s5 charging port got wet and quit working so I started charging through the wireless charging connectors on the back of the phone with a cut up usb cable's red and black wires. I was doing this for about a week and one day when I connected them my flashlight flashed and the phone went completely dead. If I changed out my logic board should the phone be back in working condition? besides the charging port of course.
+Ranner Tupiper It may be worth trying to replace the battery if that doesn't do it change the charging port see if that does it before changing anything else.
+Bijay Shrestha I'm not exactly sure about that. I would recommend checking the connections making sure they are the same if you have the other board to compare to.
According to a technician, the motherboard of my Galaxy S5 is broken. Does anyone know a way to retrieve my data? A solution I'm thinking is to purchase a new motherboard and replace the internal storage device with the old one. Is this solution possible? Which part is the internal storage? Thank you.
I really don’t know if that’s possible. If you search RU-vid there’s a channel named deep fix and he delves into lots of things like that. That would be worth checking out. The thing I’m concerned about is if your motherboard is indeed bad just changing out the memory may not make much difference. But I don’t want to discourage you either. I would suggest doing your research first though.
Actually I was watching this to make sure that there is nothing else on the logic board I need to remove because the phone's dead because a battery exploded (not violently, just became a rather large pillow which probably wrecked the screen more than anything else. And sense we had not need to keep it. I just wanted to remove the part of the logic board (that's an apple term) not sure what Linux calls it. Android is Linux. But either way it had storage on it and simply want to either crack the storage chips or drill them so nobody hacks away. .. so I'm tossing the phone. I don't need a heat gun yet but the Nexus 7 (2013) maybe. if I ever find it.. I lost it over a year ago when going thru surgery and I got a new one in 2018 then another new one later cause chinese generic meh. ZTE K90 bit better. not great but better than 7.1.0 which is semi rooted semi isn't. And nevermind. I feel like playing guitar above though. Who knew pics would be used to pry later on. I coulda smashed the phone but... I most likely would damage the screen and not the chips.. throw it thru a semi industrial shredder would work but I wouldn't have access to one.
@@SmartEasyDIYer I thought about that but I did that with a multi function printer once. Really stupid. glass all over the yard. smh I found the memory cards. so I either toss it in the fire , try and crack the metal protected ones (there is one exposed) or tie some tannerite to it and hope nobody ever finds it. :) when it gets shot at...
