You are literally the ONLY tech reviewer I have seen that has mentioned these requirements. Thank you. I find it very misleading that Samsung has not mentioned any of this on their website, or even in the small print.

Finally someone actually shows how the google maps looks like while using it... All reviews Ive seen so far just mention it and shows the basic menus... thanks! :D

I'm actually exited to try out the Galaxy watch 4 "Active" I've never been a fan smart watches but since sprint mobile offered me a exclusive loyal member deal I said why not. They're paying the monthly installments and the LTE line but the only downfall is not having a Samsung phone to take advantage of everything it has to offer. Overall I'm glad I saw this video others don't get in full depth as you.

Great videos, very enjoyable to watch. My use case of the LTE is at the gym. I don’t want my phone falling out of my pocket on the bench press or putting it on the floor like I have been. LTE lets me stream music and still get calls & texts.

All of us in Australia still have to wait another 2 weeks until we have our hands on the Galaxy Watch 4. I definitely will be getting the LTE version of the 4 classic, it's really ridiculous that Australia has to wait at all for any tech.

I was using active 2 LTE and all u said is absolutely correct and from my experience of one year what I have to add is the battery, it's drains 4x faster on stand alone and also hangs and restarts easily..

I got the watch 4 40mm lte and it's quite the upgrade from my Garmin Vivomove HR. The downside is the battery life. Best I've managed is slightly over 30 hours without doing much. Working out and listening to music sans phone is very practical, but an hour and the battery will drop 40% easily. We need to improve on this, and I expect that next year we'll see a totally improved battery technology in all smart things.

Great review, just one question, when using de spotify app while using the lte version, is it possible to stream music directly from the watch or it will be required to download the songs previously?

Nice hands on, with examples! It's looking good! This is a test I'd like to see: Go for a run, with the map navigation on, and the music on, and receiving a call, and some sort of fitness app going, say intervals, with HRM on, and set a timer to time the overall run time. Can it handle all that? Measure the battery consumption for this activity.

I wish they had this when my grandmother was alive bc the fall protection is amazing. She definitely could have use that cause she fell 2 separate times & broke her hip both times. She could not get to the phone & had to wait hours until we showed up from not being about to get ahold of her. This is a life saver!

Great no BS and down to earth review! Thank you! Can you please confirm that you have the same number on both phone and watch and if so is the phone eSIM? I am with t-mobile in Czechia and here they have eSIM for one use (activation of only 1 device) and so same number can not be on phone and watch. They do offer so-called twin SIM with same number for 2 devices (even though only one can be registered live in the system at any time), but not eSIM... I find it interesting that they can do same number for Apple phone and watch, but not for Samsung and they claim, that it is a limitation of the chipset used in Samsung, but I think it is their mobile system that is limited...Apparently t-mobile Germany can do this so once again the Germans rule and we are ages behind

I was ready to get the LTE but then found out you need to pay for a whole watch contract as well as a phone contract and only from a few providers so it would require so much more money. Thank you for talking about this because it took me so much digging to even find this info

I think the best reason for an LTE Smartwatch for me is that i can take it to the beach or swimming pool. I need to be reachable, but especially on the beach there is a risk that the smartphone can be stolen when you are in the water. Problem solved with the LTE Version... it's definitely worth for me

Do you know the meaning of the animation settings shown on the included watch face that shows a bear that wears a hoodie walking to the right of the screen? What are the arcs around the face for? And what does it mean when the bear is not moving and when he is moving?

Question: I have LTE version. when disconnected from phone I get calls and texts and can open google maps but it will not navigate. what am I doing wrong? I’ve played with every setting and still get cannot navigate messages.

I have the Galaxy watch4 LTE and I am currently switching to a new provider as they can provide the signal to my watches E-sim. I am excited to try a few days without my phone!

What happens when both phone and watch are connected to LTE with the same eSIM and a call comes in - do they both ring or does the phone get disconnected?

Just ordered the Galaxy watch 4 classic non LTE version. If my phones off or battery on phone is dead but the watch is connected to my homes wifi can I make and receive phone calls and text messages still?

Is there a way to add an esim directly to the watch? In the UK we have to pay extra to share data from the phone, but I'm wondering if I could bypass this by somehow installing the esim directly on the watch without having it on the phone at all?

Great video, I'd get the lte version now but last time they would never turn my lte on, the company (tmobile) would say it was on but it never was, so I never got to use it without Bluetooth.. then there's the problem with them always adding protection even when I say I don't want it. Every. Single. Time. So the less I deal with any phone company, the better.

I can't believe how much I'm enjoying my Classic 46mm LTE with my red and black bands. I got mine yesterday and yes I have a new line with the same number for my watch. It's great and I have the S20 Ultra.

It is possible to make calls with a bluetooth watch & phone at home if you set it up prior so what makes it better than Wi-Fi calling? Other than Google Maps...

In ATL GA on September 1st Google Maps LTE does not navigate or work on my galaxy watch 4 44mm when not connected to a phone. Other apps work fine but a samsung tech specialist told me that Maps LTE requires a software update that is not yet available. I expect it to work eventually but it does not right now. Connected to my phone Maps works fine.

Was very excited for my watch but the battery is nothing to brag about. 46mm LTE, I am not getting a day. I don't use AOD or many battery draining features. A huge let down compared to my Fitbit Sense and Ticwatch Pro 3. Other than that... love it. Watch faces are nice and health features are robust. Play Store is also very welcomed.

I'm a runner and usually listen to songs while running. Can I still use the GW4 Bluetooth version for this?

How's the battery backup with lte turned on & watch isolated from phone ?

Do you have mobile data set to always on or auto. Mine keeps dropping connection I don't knowvif this is because of service providers patchy 4g network or I have watch set up incorrectly.

At least in Norway, a lot of carriers doesn't have eSim. Just the two largest I think

I have a samsung note10+. Just got the lte samsung classic 4 watch. Does the Bluetooth on the phone need to be off in order for lte data to be used for calls and messages when away from phone? That seems to be the case with mine

🙂I just saw this video, after your short for the Watch 6 hehe On my Watch 4, I have a seperate phone number from my phone. I got my "Watch number" back when I had my Samsung Gear S. (I still have my Gear S, I still like the bigger display on it and would add it on my plan too, but sometimes it freezes and I have to reset it. I need to send it back to Samsung and see if they can refurbish it) Back then, you added your watch as an add on for another 10$(US) a month and you had it's own number, but the watch/phone had a setting that when your phone was out of Bluetooth range all calls from your phone would be sent to your watch. Starting with the Watch 4 this setting was dropped. Now to get call forwarding to your watch it has to have the same number and set up on your phone. I still like to have my seperate watch number. I really like the LTE model, and I do call from it occasionally. In order to call from it with it's number, I have to disconnect from the Bluetooth, then call. Anyway, great videos!!! @ALLSTARSPACE : I have Galaxy Watch 4 Classic LTE model, but when I do not connect watch with the phone using bluetooth, its GPS works but when I try to navigate to any place using directions and route it keeps saying (waiting for navigation) but works fine when my phone is connected with bluetooth. FYI- I've sync maps with the phone and its up to date with the latest version of the software. Please help me why navigation doesn't work (but GPS works) without connecting to phone using bluetooth and my LTE mobile plan is working and ON.

Hello and good day, I bought a Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and a Classic a few days ago for me and my wife. With both watches I have the problem that no navigation is possible via LTE. Only "Mit Smartphone verbinden". What am I doing wrong. All videos seen via UyouTube, all settings gone through, calls work and the Internet is served via LTE but navigation does not. I would be grateful for a tip. Samsung, who I also wrote to, said "I should factory reset the watch???!!!!

Thanks to you have purchase an lte version but it was draining battery like crazy between 5 am to 12 it had only 10 % so I went back to Samsung and exchange for another one and no problems so far it last a lot longer and you are right no phone allowed but watches no problems.

When I watch RU-vid videos, a music symbol appears at the bottom. I reckon this is to control the media but this drains battery Iike crazy. I tried turning off Media Controls under Display settings. Still this comes up. How can I disable this? Is it a bug?

Galaxy Watch 4 Active - still waiting even though pre-ordered - should arrive by Sept 15 :$ , on my old Active 2 watch I had LTE - for Verizon I had to add a $10/month share plan to get it working , so I assume the same for Active 4 - I ended up getting rid of the plan because I typically carry my phone with me everywhere and now with the smaller Flip3 - it will be easier to carry . I did like the idea of not carrying my phone - i just never seemed to be in that situation . . . and I don't do any gardening work so I should be okay. But I agree with you - $10 is definitely worth it from a safety aspect
