No kidding...I live 45 minutes from Galveston and he was in the regular everyday people neighborhood. He was driving service alleys at first. A row of trash cans...ooooo
i took a trip here once back in 2003 when I was 13. my and my family drove down to visit my moms friend in Dallas then after a few days we drove down to Galveston. Galveston gave me these strange vibes but thats what made the place so unique! lol. I remember really enjoying myself when I visited. we went on a cool ghost tour while we were there. heard a lot of the Island was haunted! 👻👻
I was robbed at gun point in Galveston Texas when I lived there.theres horrible hoods on the island.this area on this video ain't it tho.trust me it's crazy.
where was I on this date? Wondering, what I was doing. This was a couple of days before I was diagnosed with Covid-19 hospitalized for a week and a half. Galveston BOI & PROUD!!!
Bro you really out there! You literally been hitting all the spots I lived in. These hoods in the Rio Grande Valley where I'm at now is basically Mexico. Love the videos bro. Stay safe. 👊🏽 From South Tx.
We're building a lot of new housing on Galveston, there is no gang problem those guys grew up or went to jail. Charlie Bo you are riding through allies. I might know you.
Yeah but there's still the crooked split,Menard park, north Broadway and parkland.he didn't drive through the worst hood at all.but in Galveston texas this is footage of a middle class neighborhood.nothing ghetto on here.
@@pwcspookthageneral7946 I actually know two people name Charlie Boo in Galveston and evidently he's neither one of them. He didn't know where he was going. By the way Cedar Terrace, Palm Terrace, Magnolia Homes, and they just started on Oleander Homes, they look like middle class Townhomes inside and out. And they've built a lot of houses all over Galveston. So Galveston looks a lot better. And, people have proper housing.
I got shot at, last year in Galveston for no reason...yeah there is tourist attractions but still doesn’t shy away of how bad some of the neighborhoods are in the area.
@@PBYZB it’s gotten worse here in this Louisiana town I live in. Lord forbid it be that many but we’re on the track to having 40-50 homicides. 40-50 homicides for a town smh.
@@PBYZB man that's the truth.he went through one of the hoods but there were several more Grimey hoods in Galveston.north Broadway parkland Menard park 72nd and heads lane and the east end.i believe he was in the crooked split hood 28 29 and Broadway area Much love to charliebo for this one.plz do a part 2.love this viedoe ur the man.👍
I am the ONE who requested a Galveston Texas hoods video and my man charliebo came through.thanks charliebo I just wish u would go bacc and get footage of the REAL WORST GALVESTON TEXAS HOODS.this isn't it.maybe even do some interviews next time.plz and thanks charliebo.much love.
This would make a great recruitment video for young families and doctors thinking of moving to Galveston. It is obvious from this video that the new code enforcement program is really working well. Maybe next time the city has a staff meeting, the code enforcement team could be reminded which city they're supposed to actually be working in ! Looking forward to a future video drive south on 53rd Street from Broadway to Avenue O and maybe swing by 1315 - 52nd Street while in the area. This stretch of 53rd Street is such a welcoming view of our island to first-time visitors; and if they need a rest stop before hitting the beach, what better establishment than the 53rd Mini Mart. Thanks again for a great video!
I know about the hood part it's real bad.this is just one of the hoods in galveston Texas it's not the worst one either North of Broadway is when things get real bad.
It's ridiculously high now...since Ike in 08... Even our "hood" homes cost $150,000 now... My brother sold his $50,000 home in Sea Isle (500sq ft) for $110,000 3yrs ago... It's $290,000 now on the market.
i was born and raised on San Leon island about 15 minutes from here but oh yeah, the jungle was some of my old stompin grounds back in the day - if u get my drift. but galveston has such a romantic lure about it. what a history and so many old hustoricle buildings and homes. my dad graduated ball high and my mom and dad fell in love and were married here. they did so many fun things - i have old pictures. they were married 62 years, wow. yeup, good old galveston
All yall claiming from Galveston would know that the traditional projects were tore down after ike and are being rebuilt better than ever. I was born here went to Parker all the way through Ball High there's nothing anymore "ghetto" about Galveston than any other city. We have some great ally's with Cottage Houses
Now go ride around there at night and let’s see what you capture 🤣 43rd and Crooked split in Galveston , west Tx city, LaMarque ‘lake road’ , the Bottoms/the Chelsies in south Tx City, Dickinson ‘Church Village’ , Hitchcock Tx. So much in Galveston county to capture
West side of Chicago wasn’t always bad, anyplace can be ghetto if you put drugs in the mix. Any country every country has ghetto’s worst than Chicago, folks just get amnesia when they relocate to America lol
Brothers car was stolen, set on fire and then left in a cemetary last summer. My car been busted into 2 times also and the apartment once. Come screw around certain areas come nightfall. Yeah family friendly. You're only seeing snippets of life on the island
You always shoot good eye openers..Good Job! But check out dude at beginning of video with bloody mattress in his hands..shocked when u pulled up around the corner..freaky? Be safe and stay Blessed!
@@pwcspookthageneral7946 Yeah North of Broadway is still the Ghetto but nobody's territory. And don't nobody hang in or around Menard Park no more. They just pass thru it or gather there on holidays but Niggaz from uptop all grown and are pursuing better things. It's these youngins that's out here turnin up with they rap clicks.
I hope he goes bacc and does more hoods In Galveston like the ones u mentioned and he even forgot about driving through parkland.maybe even an interview would be cool.
I'm from Galveston and were you was riding wasn't even the worst you aint even go to the bricks you riding all the safe places were nothing really even happin should have came to the bricks known as parkland!!
@@kriskelley5031 Houston's population is higher than galveston.but your chance of being a victim of a violent crime is higher in galveston.trust me that was just one hood in galveston and it wasn't even the worst hood.north Broadway has the most violent and dangerous hood.from 26th street to 53rd street.also u have the crooked split, menard park, parkland and even a hood on the east end.believe me Galveston is more violent than u think.i already know that 3rd ward is very dangerous too.
Nice? Trust me this isn't the worst hood in galveston.the worst area is north of Broadway from 26th to about 47th street, parkland, the crooked split,Menard park and then u also got a hood on the east end its a small hood from 10th street to 12th street.then u got an area with a few apartment complexes that's pretty hood over on 72nd and heards.believe me charliebo should have let me show him the grimiest of the grimiest.the neighborhood on this video isnt a good neighborhood but to call it the worst is inaccurate.this is more of a Hispanic neighborhood.its kinda close to the crooked split neighborhood tho but make no mistake about Galveston Texas cause the ghettos get very Grimey and violent.the crime stats in Galveston texas are higher than Houston Texas per Capita.
I have lived in Galveston and the thing that is so weird about it is that nobody cuts their FUCKING grass! A million dollar home and the grass is 2 feet high! WTF...cut that shit.
What street is that, las week I stay between 25 and 27th, Bernardo Galvez, and it didn't feel or looked safe, I didn't realize that when I booked the house.
Great footage 🫡🫡🫡 This is a well needed economic explanation of what real gentrification looks like most of the homes are owned by white or hispanic descent . You can see what hurricane ike has done to demographics
Most everything that’s not a restored historic property or a new build (down the island) looks that way. Most of these properties were built before 1940 and some even survived the 1900 hurricane. If they’re that old and haven’t been restored, they’re gonna look like crap. And since that’s where the rent is cheapest…….. There’s a couple of neighborhoods with brick houses from the 60’s or so.
If Hurricane Ike had just steered 20 miles to the west or Hurricane Harvey made a bee line to Houston from the Gulf, Galveston would probably not be a going concern at the moment.
been to Galveston a thousand times... just watch your surroundings and as in any major city.. especially at night when most crimes happen... addicts are active after dark... just common sense
Honestly who cares Some people prefer a nice house Some people prefer a nice car Any house is way more expensive than the average car anyway, plus getting a house is such a complicated process and they’re so expensive nowadays, you can barely get a dump for $200,000. A dope car is like $50,000.
Yes its a nice place with friendly people bums and all. Galveston so call ghettos are safe to walk and ride bikes. You can walk at night hang at the beach all night till sunrise Mold and milddew biggest concern housing and job shortages huge problem but if you desire to live a beach life with many things to do. This is the place to be love galveston
@@rebeprice4400 Hard Times & Misery Saloon and Gloria's Lounge are a couple of bars i remember had my first tamales in Gloria's ,met some great people loved the history of the tourist places, and my uncle showed me some cool out of the way out places and met quite a few BOI who are very proud of the island,The beach was beautiful and being from the UK and only experienced paddling in The North sea or the Mediterranean i was shocked at how hot the Gulf of Mexico was .i will return one day :)
@@user-ez2gt8es2m I’ll say it again, there are zero “hoods” on the island. And I’m purple fool, ball high tors for life smart guy. go back to 54 and ball st. I’m a local, genius.
Wow who you supposed to be what are you like 20, if anyting ghettos, hoods, what have you Etc.theyre everywhere it doesn't matter what state what country what city they're everywhere so I don't know what you're talkin about.
And not boasting or glorifying negatives if you ask me it doesn't matter how you raise it's your mindset and how you choose to be so right arriving painting there can be a lot of Idiocracy, but that Justice well runs with plain ignorance. Ghetto living or not white black minority or not so STFU
Galveston is not hood....Black Families have always had fewer opportunities, so what you see is just that. Plus the weather is brutal on wood framed houses.
Certainly not as bad as E. Cleveland or Detroit. I like the guy in the beginning holding a mattress. Was he getting ready to throw it out along the road and make it someone else's problem?
50th was our path back in 2nd grade...cut across the playground from Burnett to rob the 711 for thier jolly rancher candies...then off to the Boys and Girls Club to shoot some pool.
