It's crazy knowing what the finished product sounds like and hearing them make it. It's like the song already existed and they're just trying to find it 😱🤯
@@canefan17 Same title but totally different songs. Steve Earle’s song is totally different and far superior, it’s a classic in Ireland. Ed has written some great songs, but this isn’t one of them. Just my opinion tho, if you like it, best of luck to ya
Maddie Close no, it’s a violin. a fiddle and a violin are the same instrument, the difference is the genre that’s played. she is playing a violin, the type of music she is playing is folk/traditional so it’s classified as a fiddle
So ladies and Gents ... that’s exactly how good music works. Find a vibe and grab a guitar, find your lyrics and record the song. I’m not addicted to this video, I’m obsessed! That’s absolutely what I’m looking for
@@Weirjetwashing There’s nothing wrong with having others help write, especially when they are listed as writer’s on the track anyway. Plus, Ed is more than capable as a writer, his first album and earlier discography of proof enough of this
@@Carina5707 What exactly makes a folk song public domain? Is it standard 50years post death of the creator? Steve Earle is still alive and his Galway Girl was released in 2000
Kyle Norcliffe Post Malone - Stay Rihanna - Stay Zedd - Stay Obviously more but these are first few results that come up when you search ‘stay’ up on RU-vid
Dude there’s something so special at 5:45 when the violinist and piano just meet perfectly together, so much frisson man - feels like the song was meant to be
The creative process of so many talented musicians in one space is absolutely fascinating to watch especially when you already know the end game, watching them reach it is so fun!
Like... these guys just made a masterpiece of happieness and joy with the spirit of ireland within what 2 days? Thats insane dude like. This girl with the fiddle she just heard the sound that ed made and immediatly repeated it in perfection. I cant get my mind around that. Just crazy talented people all of them.
This is absolutely incredible to see the behind the scenes of Ed writing a song with his team! Just unreal how it all came about. Love this song, especially being a newfie in Canada.
It’s mental see & hear the evolution of the song before the public hear the final song. Shows how much artists like Ed and his group think. Geniuses. Same goes for when they’re jamming with everyone. You can see on their smiles they’ve realised what they’ve created.
Look at the grins on the band members at the end. They know they just made a giant hit song which just might change their lives. Years of hard work and now this; they can't believe what just happened.
Man I can't stop listening to 4:30 . I close my eyes and see a bright beautiful day among green hills, laughing and enjoying life with friends and family.
this video will be so beautiful if at the end it was ed recording the verse then when he goes to the reff it turns to be a huge concert when thousands of people sing along together
To watch the faces of people creating a song is a joy to watch. The movie songwriter was so inspirational these go up of people making music that touches the heart of so many. That's the true meaning of music.
I love how the iterative process when it comes to working out a new song is usually going "Muh, muh, da, da, da, da, hey, mm, mm" while you vaguely strum along and then occasionally someone goes "Yeah! Exactly!" and you write it down. Music really is a language all it's own.
