I was in London in October 2019.i went to a luxurious watch shop on Oxford street that sold Rolex and other high end watches and we had a nice conversation on different watch brands.we started talking about the the different watch bloggers on you tube.i brought up Theo & Harris whiich was his favorite watch blog and mine too! Just thought you would want to know that.
Vintage datejust are the best bang for buck. I think I’m in love with them as much as Christian is. Bought my first one about 6 months ago and I’m looking to get a couple more 👀.
Vintage datejust are actually some of the most overpriced watches imo😶 Can find many solid gold watches, steel chronographs, military pieces, etc. for the same price from big brands as Heuer, Cartier, Omega, Breitling. The datejust is a terrific everyday watch, but not a bang for buck watch at the current Rolex hype prices.
Good video but you should have mentioned the Daytona, the most sought after Rolex right now. The mention at the end of the video regarding the Ceramic Bezel, it is ok on the Stainless Steel model, but if I were buying a Gold Daytona, i want a GOLD bezel and not a Ceramic one for the money...also, give me a GOLD bracelet and not a rubber strap.
Oh please Anna tell me your not living with Theo. The thought of him getting his hands all over your loveliness is killing.🤗🤗🤗🤗. You all stay well. Anna you have to play something for us now.
I understand the appeal of these vintage watches, but some of them just look like junk. Their bracelet links are too stretched and bent, the dials and hands are corroded and crusty, the cases look like they got too close to a 60 grit belt sander. And if anything is done to clean up and upgrade it OH MY GOD FORBID the value is destroyed. Maybe I don't get it. Now I like my watch with a bit of wear, like my truck, but wearing or driving rusty junk is unacceptable.
I can agree with you in some respect. Yes some examples can be fairly rough however, is they are truly rough they will also be the cheapest. The ones that are worth a pretty penny usually restrain most of their original metal, meaning they haven’t been over polished, and have perfect or close to perfect dials. Sometimes such as in this video, certain discolouration can actually add value, not all damaged dials add value. So for the most part servicing an vintage watch is not much a problem as long as it needs it, if possible keeping the original dial and hands is best for future value.
Hey guys, does the world really need you to post another ROLEX video? I understand you have inventory to move, and I usually like your posts, but I just can't take it anymore... I'm sorry but I'm unsubscribing right away. I wish you the best in this crazy times. Cheers
I hope that the “aqua surf green” sweater you’re wearing doesn’t look as *ickky* in real life as it does in this RU-vid processed and compressed video.😞
