that moment when Lofi tried to hurt the Night King's feelings with the "nobody likes you". perfect!! although i should mention there is a section of the fanbase that is pro the night king.
Interestingly, we never witness first hand what happens at Hardhome in the books, Jon doesn't leave with Tormund and remains at the wall in the books. An interesting storyline that was cut from the show, is that Mance Rayder, isn't dead, Melisandre switches him with another wildling or thenn, uses a spell to make him identical to Mance and uses the real Mance to help Theon and fake Arya (Jeyne Poole, Sansa's childhood friend) escape from Winterfell. Also in the books, Mance is married and his wife dies giving birth to a son. Knowing Melisandres love of spilling Kings blood, Jon switches Gillys son with the king beyond the walls son.
Jon's sword is made of Valyrian steel, not dragon glass. Valyrian steel was explained at the beginning of Season 4 when Tywin Lannister melted down Ned's Valyrian steel sword and turned it into two swords. Most of these types of swords are family heirlooms in noble houses or are lost in the past. They have lost the recipe for forging new Valyrian steel but they can reforge existing weapons. There is a mystical component to their creation. Tywin threw a wolf pelt onto the forge fire when remaking those two swords. They fill the spot of magic swords from standard fantasy.
So glad you are back and reacted to this awesome episode, you always have an interesting analysis compared to other reactors who sometimes only react on the spot. The Hardhome part is so well done (especially considering that this scene in the books is only told briefly by characters). This is because the director, Miguel Sapochnick really captured the despair and the ruthlessness of this massacre. He is the best GOT director and will come back in later seasons to direct other great episodes. And I also love what he did with the rest of the episode, especially one shot where the nun tops Cersei in her cell, with the light coming above her making the nun all the saint-like and menacing.

I believe Craster had around 100 sons. One is Gilly's son, obviously, but the rest have likely been made into white walkers. It really is remarkable how much they made us like Karsi in such a short time.

Jon's sword is Valyrian steel. Aside from that, yes, I do believe Jon is special in some way. 🙂 In your analysis you were questioning things about the Starks, their wolves, Winterfell, their connection with the north in general. I HIGHLY recommend you both read the books when you finish the show.
Kevan Lannister is a younger brother of Tywin and was his right hand man. He has four kids with the eldest being Lancel. His next two sons were the ones killed by Rickard Karstark who wanted revenge on the Lannisters as Jamie killed his sons. BTW Tywin has four super interesting siblings though they show only one in the show and two in the books
Hardhome was critically acclaimed and I like it because I love the hopeless wintery ambience of the battle, it's shot very different from the previous fights. No season with an episode like Hardhome in it should be considered a waste. But yeah, definitely worth reminding since the last 2 episodes of season 5 are the tantrum episodes (for a pointless reasons as it's been confirmed what happens next episode will remain the same in the book).
i have three kids. i would have put them on the boat, turned to fight, and then have done anything to get to the boats to help the children. remember the wildlings have no idea if Jon was telling the truth or not. so heartbreaking

We hope in the future to have one, but currently we only have 1 computer that can handle editing & can only film around my regular job so it's difficult for us to have a set schedule. Our hope is for us to get a second editing computer within the next 6 months, which will really help us increase our uploads.
The last two episodes of GoT season 5 are really tough to get through because of the sheer grueseomeness and morbidity of things that happen. But once you get past that Season 6 is an amazing season. It is everything you would've hoped for leading up to this and then some more. S6 won like 12 Emmys for a reason, don't give up on it.
