Years later and I still love coming back to these. GoT is still my favorite thing that has ever been on a screen. Movie and show alike. Sure the last season has its issues. I agree with a number of criticisms. It was rushed. Hasn't changed my opinion. I hope HotD is at least as good. Hope it takes it's time.

I've always been a bit disappointed in Joffery's death. I would have loved to see him get exposed for the coward he was. He talked a big game, but Arya showed him to be the craven he was. Unfortunately no one else but that airhead Sansa (and the poor butcher's boy) ever got to see his humiliation.

Yes, all of season 7 deserves a 0. More like 30. That last scene is my favorite in the whole show. What it showed wasn't just Dany at her best, but that she really was one of the smartest characters in the entire story. Easily rivaling Tyrion. What has been a major disappointment for me is how D&D have subsequently dumbed her down, just like with all the other characters, in the years since. The season 7 Daenerys was an insult to the season 3 Daenerys.

About to get to one of the best episodes in the series, kissed by fire, soooo fucking pumped to get to that part when this was airing, but the thematic connections in that episode, so perfect

This rewatch reminds me yet again how many of the great actors of the series have been killed off. Still, there are plenty left to suffer horrible deaths in Season 8.

I loved the dunk and egg and princess and the queen/dance references with the Targs, although they cremate themselves haha, but to be fair it could be their ashes but it didn't really matter

The war started because Catelyn was in idiot and did something stupid and rash by kidnapping Tyrion. That pissed of Jaime, who captured Ned, causing Robb to call his banners. And then Joffery killed Ned, who responded by attempting to kill every Lannister. So Catelyn started the war that: killer her, her husband, and all but 3 of her children, who she assumes are all dead. (Except for Sansa, who is in King's landing. With the Lannisters.)

Prompting an appearance from an angry Catelyn causing Bran to fall. ▫️Varys and Ros have a conversation about "Prodigies appearing in the strangest of places," bantering about what Podrick could have possibly done to her fellow prostitutes to make him so popular. Before discussing a travel itinerary she found in which Littlefinger had booked imminent travel, ordering two feather beds. ▫️Cersei and Olenna plan a wedding at the Sept of Baelor while Margaery and Joffrey run around the place bonding over some "macabre" history of the Targaryens interred therein. ▫️Margaery helps Joffrey to overcome his insecurities by appearing outside the Sept together, to a rousing applause from the crowd, much to Cersei's chagrin. ▫️Theon reflects on his many mistakes to a seemingly concerned and conciliatory Ramsey, while being unwittingly led back into his tortured captivity. ▫️Brienne gives Jaime a much needed pep talk while the Bolton traveling party stops to make camp for the night. ▫️Cersei visits Tywin, in another pathetically failed attempt to paint the Tyrell's as a problem, invariably revealing her own shortcomings in the process. ▫️Varys seeks out Lady Olenna, to undercut Littlefinger's plans by manipulating a potential marriage between her grandson and Sansa. ▫️Margaery approaches Sansa while at prayer to help to further the scheme, by enticing her with the prospect of marrying Ser Loras. ▫️The Brotherhood Without Banners accuses the captive Hound of murder, and sentences him to a trial by combat against Beric Dondarrion. ▫️Daenerys brings her dragon to Astapor's Plaza of Pride to "trade" for an Army of Unsullied. She hands over the dragon in exchange for the whip, and when the trade is complete orders her new Army to kill the Masters of Astapor and sack the city, reclaiming her dragon and surprising her allies and enemies alike in the process. (Goosebumps) SO many amazing scenes in just this ONE episode. It's hardly a wonder the show was the #1 in ALL of television back then. 👍😊

Seasons 4 and 6 are my favorite. Season 4 mainly because of the Tyrion story line which seems to go down hill after that season. Battle of the bastards and Winds of winter are the best episodes of GOT and maybe even all of TV in my opinion. I also really liked parts of season 7 a lot and feel like it gets a bad rap sometimes.
