I would think that the Lannisters would keep a short leash on her (maybe they make her engaged to Tommen or something) Or Joffery would find some way to torture her.

Knowing King Robert...for pure entertainment...he could call Tyrion as his champion (he was Catelyns prisoner at the time, and if a champion can refuse a call or force him)...as to piss the Lannisters...and knowing Jaime loves his brother...that would be cruel but seeing Jaime hypothetically killed Ned here. Just saying lol

What if Jon had left the Nights Watch before he said his vows? What if Ned Stark had listened to Renly Baratheon and overthrew Cersei? What if Ser Barristen Selmy didn't give the paper to Cersei when Robert died? What if Jaime married Lysa Tully instead of joining the Kingsguard? What if Catelyn was wed to Jon Arryn and Ned was betrothed to Lysa? What if Syrio Forel used a real sword instead of a wooden sword against Meryn Trant? What if Lysa Arryn gave an army from the Vale to Robb Stark? I hope you make a video on one of them :)
@Brandonhayhew
@Brandonhayhew 7 лет назад
A, ned accepts renly offering but still have an issues with stannis baratheon's claim to the throne. B, barristan is a knight and loyal to the king, he would always obeyed the king because it's his vows as a kingsguard. C, if jon did left before taking a vow, then the war and later died in the red wedding? E, if jaime was married and the mad king didn't had jaime then tywin would have joined the rebellion side and the mad king would have burned the city to the ground with wildfire. D, Lysa would been unhappy with ned, because his the brother of the man who was betrothal to his sister catelyn, who littlefinger challenge him to a fight and nearly was killed, catelyn engaged to an old man she would be unhappy and years of being betrothal to a stark for a long time. F, if arya's teacher did had a real sword then he would have killed him but eventually he dies, and arya still runaway from them. And finally, lysa giving robb vale army, that would only work if littlefinger was killed by brandon a long time ago, this man even made a video on that, it's called what if brandon killed littlefinger.
@huschtegutzel6307
@huschtegutzel6307 7 лет назад
I think Syrio Forell would have lost the fight anyways, he used the same moves as it would have been a real sword and therefore Meryn could have grabbed it anyway
@Brandonhayhew
@Brandonhayhew 7 лет назад
Huschte Gutzel Atleast it would be awesome that syrio killed many of them instead of kicking their asses, arya would one day emulate that fighting style that killed many of them. The whole what if stuff this channel youtuber made seems kinda becoming unnecessary, we all know that ned wouldn't take the iron throne, because it would be out of character.

Now that I think about it, Jaime killing Ned might be the best thing for Tywin. As now the starks have a fitting retaliation for capturing Tyrion. And Tywin would be happy if Tyrion got executed as he would finally get rid of him. Also, now Ned would die in single combat. Robb would hate the lannisters, but no reason to declare war.

Dr Holiday I personally think he'd loose his mind at first that his freind was harbouring a targaryen behind his back.. He probably command Ned, to bring Jon Snow to KL, but Ned would refuse.. Robert wouldn't kill Ned but he will most likely be inprisoned.. Robert would demand the Starks to bring Jon snow, and Catelyn would just give Jon up and send him to KL But then i believe he wouldn't kill Jon, he will have lost his anger, and he'd spare Jon like how he asked Ned to call of the Assassination attempts of Daenerys on his deathbed.,

Joffrey was a coward when it came to fighting on the battlefield, that does not mean he was a pussy. Tommen WAS a total PUSSY! Joffrey was a psychopath. He would've called his banners and order the city watch to open the gates, let the Lannister and the Tyrell forces in, and then he would order them to slaughter every single sparrow in KL and the High Sparrow would probably be tortured for days, if not weeks before being killed. End of story.

@MrDarkkamui
@MrDarkkamui 7 лет назад
Agree with most of the things you said but i have to say, i am really surprised that you think that Oberyn would be able to defeat Jaime freaking Lannister! Jaime was the best swordsman in Westeros ( if not in the whole world ) at this point. Even George R.R. Martin said that Jaime was the best swordsman in the story before he lost his sword hand. I think that Jaime would've killed Oberyn but Oberyn would probably use a poisoned weapon in their fight so what would happen in this scenario is basically this: Jaime wins the trial by combat, kills Oberyn... but gets wounded in the process and the poison kills him a few hours later. So they both die in this scenario.
@michaelkirkland6573

@dragonstryk7280

best SWORDSman. Oberyn would be using a style Jaime's never faced in battle, with a weapon 3-6' shorter than Oberyn's. And Oberyn is best-in-class with his spear, AND he cheats. So yeah, Jaime's fucked.
@lolpuuroa
@lolpuuroa 16 дней назад
Oberyn has lots more actual experience than Jaime, and he would pick a strategy that would perfectly counter Jaime's strengths, just like he did with the Mountain. I think it'd be a very close fight but Oberyn would come out on top 3/5

There will be no trial and no capturing Jamie. Just remember, Jamie fleed from King Landing right after the fight with Ned and it would be the same if he kills him. So he would have been died in the fight between the Lanisters and Baratheons. And why would he put Cercei to the black cell? Not until he not hear about the incest and that he can only hear from Stannis.
@TheBattProductions
@TheBattProductions 7 лет назад
Jaime fled, but he didn't have anyone chasing him down the first time. He went to join his father (no one considered it a big deal). Why would Cersei be arrested? because she's a Lannister, of course, and would no doubt have tried to cover up what happened. With killing Jaime, there's no doubt Tywin would openly be against Robert and Cersei is a threat to be hanging in the Red Keep. Others know about the incest as well, I'm sure. There's no fact, but man I am confident Varys and Baelish both are aware (Varys most certainly knows. This clip told me all I needed to know that he knew: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lHpznCPk5ZQ.html)

Jamie dies, in a literal blaze of glory, then is eaten by a Drogon, Daenerys dies when a molton blob of steel from the spearhead hits her the other 2 dragons would join Drogon in greaving and avenging their mother and likely burn every Lanistair soldier they can find, and maybe also lanistair strongholds Kings Landing and Highgarden as revenge. Daenerys's council hold an election for her replacement, if they see that the Dragons like Jon it is possible Jon would be chosen, oherwise there would most likely be a council established, Misande, Tyrion, Theon, Grey Worm, and leaders from the Dothraki would decide how to proceed in the liberation of Westeros. I can only guess beyond that

Evan I think Jon could lead the Dothraki if he manages to tame one of the dragons. Dothraki follow strength and being the only dragonrider in the known world is about as strong as it gets. If he doesn't manage to do that I think he'll have a hard time, he's too culturally different from them.

What if Sansa told the truth (about Joffery attacking Arya)
@Katerine459
@Katerine459 6 лет назад
Joffrey technically didn't attack Arya (she struck the first blow). He challenged Micah (the butcher's boy) to a duel, when Joffrey had an actual sword and Micah had a stick. Then he began bullying and threatening Micah. Arya hit Joffrey in the back with her stick to get Joffrey to stop bullying him. Micah ran away, and that's when Joffrey started swinging his sword at Arya. Arya got knocked down, Joffrey pointed his sword at her, saying, "I'll gut you, you little ****," and that's when Nymeria came to Arya's defense. That's how it happened in the show, and it happened pretty much exactly the same way in the books, as well.

I don't think Oberyn would have fought Jaime with a spear. He has mastered multiple weapons. He would use a sword against Jaime. He only used a spear against The Mountain because he knew he couldn't beat him with a sword.
@TheBattProductions
@TheBattProductions 7 лет назад
Speak is the ideal weapon against a swordsman -- massive reach advantage. I think Oberyn would think better than to use a sword against Jaime as well -- I mean, he's borderline legendary with a sword. I know Oberyn would think he'd have a great chance, but why risk it?
@Brandonhayhew
@Brandonhayhew 7 лет назад
Oberyn Martell You forget to mention oberyn can beat jaime, because he uses poison on his weapons, his the master of poison, he poisoned his spear to critical wound the mountain, his called the red viper because he uses posion. My lord oberyn may I ask of you a question: can a second son atleast consider joining a sellsword company in essos, because most second sons become a bannermen to his lord older brother, like ser Kevan lannister a bannermen of tywin, lord Eddard bannermen of lord brandon if he lived, lord stannis a bannermen of king robert, then you, ser oberyn Martell a red viper and a bannermen of lord doran martell.

Oberyn Martell .... Spear is a better weapon than a sword. Spears have dominated warfare since pre-history. Massive reach advantage. So why use a sword against Jaime? Oberyn can't beat Jaime in a one on one. I think Jaime would win with ease, but die from a festered wound. It does matter that Jaime only knows one style, he's the best duelist in the seven kingdoms (at the time). Excellent analysis on a subject that I'm amazed hasn't been covered yet. I feel like there's a beat missing. Just before this, Robert had sent an assassin to Essos to get Dany. He and Ned fought about it and Ned quit, right before running into Jaime. On his deathbed, Robert told Ned to call off the assassin, but it was too late anyway. I wonder if, with Ned dead, Robert would have realized his mistake sooner and called off the assassination in time to stop it. How would that have affected Dany's story?

Jamie run away to join Tywin right after he attacked Ned so the kings guard wouldn't be able to arrest him with invading the westerlands 2 . I don't think Dorne would join Robert just cause of the fact that during the war of the five kings they could have joined Stannis to help defeat the Lannisters but didn't 3. I don't think Robert would have imprisoned his Cersei and especially not his kids just cause Jamie did something stupid doesn't mean he would punish them to

I agree with most of the things you said in the video except for one...I fully believe that Jaime would beat Oberyn, i like both of them very much but Jaime with two hands is practicly unstopable and i don't think that Jaime would completely humiliate or smash the Red Viper but at the end in my opinion Jaime would kill Oberyn at the trial by combat

Good to see you back, Kevin! Hope you are feeling better these days. Excellent spinning of this scenario. Oberyn is good, sure. But come on! This is jaime lannister we are talking about. He was trained and fought beside some of the greatest swordsmen westeros had ever seen (Arthur dayne, Gerald Hightower, barristan selmy so on). Saying that oberyn can win basically means he is the greatest fighter in the world which I really doubt.
@TheBattProductions
@TheBattProductions 7 лет назад
Jaime is an amazing swordsman, sure. Oberyn is much more versatile, has a way longer reach with his spear, and remember...if he even nicks Jaime, Jaime will begin to fade faster than the Mountain did. Oberyn has trained all over the world and with greats as well (not as good as Jaime of course). Oberyn may be the greatest fighter in the world -- there really isn't proof to say he isn't, considering how he masterfully took down the Mountain. At best, it's a question-mark.
@dahfighter9914
@dahfighter9914 7 лет назад
TheBattProductions yeah true. But those northerners weren't even able to touch Arthur dayne because of his masterful defense, I'm sure jaime could fight in similar manner until he got close enough to oberyn and then it's over. And if the mountain who is huge and slow is able to get close enough to throw oberyn, why wouldn't jaime? The guy is in his prime and cut threw a small army trying to get to Robb stark at the whispering wood. -great video though man

the northern army alone was beating the lanister army even with the crown backing the lanisters. the crown + the north would obliterate the lanisters! once robert would find out the truth about his children he may wipe them out like he did the targarians. margery would have made the perfect bride for him. robert was a far better ruler than joffrey or cerci, but he still wasnt a very good ruler. so dany would still come for the iron thrown with dragons but she would b fighting against some of our favorite characters and the entire story would b far less addicting

i actually doubt that he would imprison Cersei and her children. because Cersei had nothing to do with it, so he couldn't really press charges against her, and it are still oficially Baratheon. Plus at the time of Ned's death no one knew about them being bastards except for the Lannisters them self. It was only after that fight Ned found out and made it public.

To your point at the beginning Robert wouldn’t even believe Ned did something traitorous in the first place, before his dislike of the Lannisters because we see he puts that aside if he needs to keep the peace. I feel him hearing the “traitor” accusation would be all Robert needs to know that Ned was killed unjustly whatever the case was.

There’s a problem here. Can’t the royal family only be defended by a member of the Kingsguard? That was Cersei’s problem. She initially had no one she trusted to defend her, until Qyburn showed up with Robert Strong. This means Robert couldn’t use Oberyn. And even if he could, why would Oberyn care all that much? Why would Robert pick someone he barely knows from Dorne? Robert would likely pick someone closer to home.
@TheBattProductions
@TheBattProductions 7 лет назад
Nope. Cersei/the Crown was defended by the Mountain against Oberyn and he wasn't Kingsguard. I told you why he'd care: revenge on the Lannisters. He'd get to take away Tywn's legacy (Jaime) just like Tywin took away his nephew/niece. Robert would pick him after his insistence that he duel for him -- Oberyn is VERY well-known as a great warrior in Westeros. Barristan is the only other alternative, IMO.

@rpproductions6241 7 лет назад
TheBattProductions I guess I could and couldn’t see Oberyn fighting Jaime. Yeah it would be Tywin’s son, but I’m sort of doubtful here. And you’re right, the Mountain did fight Oberyn. But now that I’m thinking about it I do remember that the royal family was supposed to be defended by the Kingsguard, but maybe if you’re not the one being judged?

I know I'm late but technically the red viper couldn't be the one to fight Jamie because a king's guard has to defend the the crown and royal family in duals and trials. That's cersei's whole problem in Feast/Dance when the faith accuses her. She had to have a member of the KG defend her. Anyways that means Jamie would most likely win his trial.
@HyphyJuice916

Oberyn would destroy the Kingslayer. I'm honestly really bummed we never got to see Jamie fight. I know he's one of the best swordsman in the kingdoms but since we only saw him fighting Ned, held his own against him, makes me really doubt the king slayer was actually that good. He never really had any feats or anything like that. Anyway. Sure fighting tournaments are a good way to show your skill, but a real fight is way more showing than anything like that.

Daenerys dies either way. Barristan was only there to save her due to Joffrey firing him. Even if he survives the initial fight with Jaime, Robert WOULDN'T fire him, so he would have no reason to sail across the Narrow Sea to save Daenerys.

@jiddinja
@jiddinja 6 лет назад
I disagree. I don't think Robert would imprison Cersei. Tywin has too much gold and too much power over the throne. He could single handedly buy the Golden Company and march the Lannister forces on King's Landing, or get the Iron Bank to call in Robert's debts. No, he's still too dangerous a man to cross. Jaime would be tried, but Oberyn hates King Robert as well as Tywin since he can't be 100% sure Tywin was the one to give the Mountain the order to kill Elia and her kids. There's a small chance that it was Robert and Oberyn never moved on either for this reason. He'd stay out of it, though he might come to watch the trial by combat, to see what unfolds and whether he can learn anything new from the situation. There is also a law that a King must be represented by his king's guard in a trial by combat, so Robert would have to choose one of them, but seeing as he can anoint new kings guards at will, who he replaces Jaime with would be the likely champion of Robert. Barriston Selmy isn't as old and weak as he appears.. Even at his age, he'd be a match for Jaime. Robert might also sway the Mountain to his side. Remember, Clegane's Keep is a small estate. Robert could strike a deal where the Mountain is made kings guard with an agreement that as soon as Jaime is dead, he'll be released from the kings guard and given a much nicer bit of land and title, possibly even marrying him to Lysa Arryn to give him the Vale. Then it's Jaime vs. the Mountain, brain and dexterity vs brute strength and size. I'd say they're evenly matched.
