??? Morgana is way better medium heals for everyone and i mostly have everything makoto has and yusukes normal weapon is amazing and most of my main person damage comes from yusuke and Ryuji

I just love how prim and proper Johanna is. All other Persona's are like, "Look at the mess you're in! Let's shake things up and go crazy on our enemies!" But Johanna is all, "Would you like to proceed with the contract? Right this way, please."

Joker doesn't even call out to his Persona like she does - he more just answers it. I'm pretty sure all of the Awakenings have something unique about them. Joker's is an anime cutscene instead of 3D, Ryuji seems to be in the most pain during it, Ann seems to use a bit of her Persona's power to break her chains before unmasking (note the blue flame effect on her arms when the chains break), and Yusuke seems to sustain the most physical damage for just the unmasking sequence (his fingernails digging into the ground hard enough to shed blood).

it's kind of representative of how acting within the rules only gets you so far. when dealing with corrupt or malicious people playing by their rules only gets you so far and in the end that's why rebellion is needed.

Johanna basically represents how makoto was tired of acting only by how the adults tell her. Just how Johanna made her own road to become pope, she would use the bike to go through the damn road she wanted, non-stopping, free, at full speed.

The line that always gets me is, "Please... Never lose sight of it again." Also, Makoto being so accepting of her Persona Contract always led me to believe that Johanna was always just below the surface, revving her engine in anticipation for this moment, for Makoto to finally say, "I've had enough!"

That was the best pre-Awakening line - not just because it was an insult, but because Makoto had enough of people treating her like a doormat, even the other Phantom Thieves were shocked that someone as normally composed as her snapped like that. Props to the writers. 🙏🏽

I have to disagree there. I prefer Morgana as my healer. He learns more powerful healing skills earlier while Makotto overall is one hell of a late bloomer. In apriciate here nuclear attacks since I like exploiding wreakspots but that aside she is really underwhelming in the mid game. She has here moments but Morgana is awsome from the second battle in the game all the way to the twins.

@@sofaris576 yeah, but as the Navigator Futaba is just better. Mona is our sweet main healer :3 Queen is just a backup healer, as well as a physical and nuclear user, like how Panther also has backup healing!

The major reason why this was so impactful for me is (to my knowledge) there has never been another Persona or demon-like this in any other SMT or Atlus game. They really took what a Persona could be to a new level.

I also like how immediately after she joins the team she becomes the de facto and undisputed second in command of the entire team due to her being the best planner and strategist on the team. Though it probably also helps that she can scare the crap out of Ryuji or the others if they start to make her mad.

Well they're kind of 3 most useful. DPS/Tank, Mage, and All Rounder/Healer. Everyone else does what they do with weaker stats. You can use Mona but all you get is a better lucky punch and salvation...two things you don't need. Yusuke just has cool physical skills but he still doesn't hit as hard as Ryuji. Once Ryuji gets God Hand and Agnestrya why use sword boy. Haru is the only other useful party member and that's simply due to access to Heat Riser

Understandable, she's my favorite too. But she's kind of a jack-of-all-trades. What you user her as totally depends on your playstyle. For me, she's generally a backup healer to Morgana or my primary one if I want to focus on defense a bit more in a certain situation. Either way, very good party member would totally recommend.

Cant decide between this awakening and Yusuke's. Yusuke getting his heart absolutely destroyed by his adoptive father, only to snap and deliver a beautiful speech is so awesome, but Makoto here just goes from goodie goodie to total badass.

Just my own thoughts on the blood thing I think after showing it off the first couple of times they started to dial it down so you could see the more epic transformations, such as fox or queens in Particular, rather then the same gruesome blood ripping off. Just more time for the epic stuff in the animation

no shenpai first play of persona 5 was back when she fully didn't realize she was bi and in her replay in p5r, she fully admitted that her dislike of makoto was more on not being open on her sexuality and not on makoto herself as in shenpai royal she admitted makoto took haru spot as best girl.

Joker and Makoto were the only ones who didn't fall or kneel in their awakening. That's how you know they're baes and are made for each other. After Ryuji and Makoto awakened they never left my party. my brother :"is Ann in your party?" Me: "who's Ann?"

She's my primary healer and Because joker falls into support in the bigger fights DPS comes from the other 2. Ryuji and Ann did fuckloads of damage with charge/God's hand and concentrate/any of her fire.
