Thanks mate literally started painting this figure and was looking for a guide and boom! here it is!! iv followed a lot of the other guides on your silver tower figures great work very detailed step by step tutorials matey keep up the good work!!!
Lovely Job. I can't afford to buy all those Citadel Paints (usually use Andrea) but I will use this excellent video as a guide. I am not really into Games Workshop so I am just stealing different figures from the range to build a diorama. The theme is a cave fronted with a transparent veil (perspex) out of which comes the army of the dead led by this figure. I hope to convert "him" to a "her". Wish me luck :)
Loving these tutorials, looking forward to the next one. Quick question though, what do you have the mini affixed to and how did you attach it? It kinda looks like a wine cork.
Yep is it! It's a wine cork (unused ones, they are designed for home brewing) which has a wire stuck in with a small amount of super glue to hold in place. I then drill a small hole in the mini and place the wire in there, again a small drop of super glue.
Keep the work up It definitely helps Unfortunately the Warhammer community is small its hard to get a working channel People these a day are to laser to be in this Hobby It may also be the fact that time is run out faster than in the past
btw, I'm now a supporter (visited patreon, and signed up to help you out) - people with talents like yours need to be allowed to continue.. plus a second camera for pallet view would be nice
great video, really helpful. It's a shame you didn't show how you got the skin glued into place on his hips, i feel like its going to snap each time i try to slide it in :S
I noticed something.. what type of brushes do you use? Your brush tips hardly ever splay out, feather, etc - mine keep doing that and the stray hairs that randomly pop out force me to stop, get rid of the paint on the brush tip, clean the tip, and start again - or do it with another brush :( Am I doing something wrong?
First of all, use Kolinsky Sable. They are my personal favourite in terms of brush material. Also, pick up a brush cleaner/conditioner and thoroughly clean your brushes with it after each painting session. Then apply some more to the brushes afterwards and allow it to dry on. This will protect the bristles and keep them in a nice point.
