Damn I understand HS' newer songs from their albums are more credited and known, hence played on their live tours. But in my opinion this album and its entirety would be soooo soothing live. Damn good music that needs ears to listen 🙌
MDC is garbage, most of the times they experimented with a new sound they did great (don't forget their 2009 Reggae EP), but this last album ain't it, terrible imo.

I don’t think it was ever released officially. From what I read they passed out copies after having them made and that was the only way anyone got one. Thank you RU-vid! And in Chicago when he mentions having his first record sitting on her shelf. This would be the one
I always bring this album up especially now when people dawg the new album so far saying to main stream I like old Pink Floyd suspect when they first started! Oh how you could be so wrong seeing they started off by opening for sublime it’s not who the struggles hebr
@@joshstreet6139 There is nothing main stream about Highly Suspect. That’s why I like them so much. And Gojira was on the album because he lives upstairs lol
can definitely hear the sublime influence. Just made me like Highly suspect even more than before in my opinion they are creating some of the most original music on the scene on their last 3 albums and they switch up their sound every album which some ppl dont like but their is always something everyone will like on their albums. They are definitely my favorite band over the last 2 years now and I can really relate to my interpretation of their musics lyrics and the struggles Johnny has been through his life. They have definitely helped me through some hard times thats for sure, and deserve more credit from the music industry.
@Counterstrike 1911 i agree with you! i discovered Highly Suspect just a few months ago and they speak to me like no other band did for years, except for Badflower. however, i don't get it why so many so called HS fans dislike their newer albums. No, MCID and TMDC are not comparable to their previous work, so what? their music and lyrics are still honest and moving. They had/have obviously some struggles to deal with, which apparently influenced their music style. why can't people see that?
@@beianu9609 MDC doesn't really have great lyrics, unless you think "fuck the cool kids" is comparable to MCID's "i still want to love, love with all my heart, even if the world is slowly tearing us apart".
first time listening to this album and it just blows my mind!!! I can hear RHCP, Frusciante must be an influence! Incredible! Need more bands like this-so underrated!
We're all in a fucked up prison atm. We must ascend to a higher level and end these evil fuks. Music is key in my life and can do powerful things. Keep your cool and head up. Good luck.
Damn, i've been listening to Highly Suspect for years. Even got to see them in Sheffield a few years back and it was amazing. Never knew this existed till today. Mind blown. Loving the vibes on this one. Even more up my street than the others, how tf has this got passed me for so long.
It was released prior to them having a label and label never picked it up. One of the times I’ve seen them lived I got to talk to them and asked about this album. Supposedly they have plans to re-record some of it but who knows
It's sad to hear how all bands go to all lovey dovey love songs and bubble gum girly hair twirly stuff. Almost 3 steps back now. They all end up being persuaded to join the circuses
Highly Suspect - Gang Lion Full Album 1. Gang Lion 2. Big Bear 3. Devil’s Army 4. Alien Spaceship 5. Not Me 6. Home 7. The Breaking Point 8. Twin Opus 9. Then Mickey 10. The Alligator Song 11. One Day The Sun Will Explode 12. Whiskey Rain 13. I Am 14. Outroduction Which song is your fav? :)
If anyone has a physical copy of this album from the tour (the only way you can have a physical copy of this album) I'll pay $100+ for it. I'll know if it's real or not 😘
Unfortunately there wasn’t ever an “official” release under any label so you can’t. A few years ago I was able to talk a bit with them outside of a show and asked about this album. I was told then that they hope to properly release it after some other things had to be done for their label…
I know I'm going to get slack/crap/death threats from this post, but I did not relate to a single song from this EP from 2010. HS has evolved quite a bit from their origins. I don't care for their reggae or rap songs. Absolutely love their rock songs and even Round and Round (Blues). Have seen them live and watched as the crowd fell asleep during their non-rock songs. Johnny has one of the coolest voices in music but I don't think he has fully grasped his full potential (yet).
