It happens... the garbage disposal jammed... stop turning... making a loud grinding noise... humming... It's a simple easy fix... less than 5 minutes and you can get yours operating again!
Damn! Finally someone who doesn't bore u with talking too much to get to the point! He actually takes the time to BRIEFLY explain step by step for us ladies doing these kind of things at home, and not assuming only guys r watching & skipping basic steps that they know, but we don't👍 i actually put my working gloves on😄 followed this video and got it done ✔ Disposal up and running again! Thanks a lot!
Thankyou! I am a widow and now have to figure things out for myself. Your video was so easy to follow. I found one of those wrenches in my husband’s tool box. I did it!111
Thank you so much! My plumber made me buy a new disposal but before he shows up to install it I watched your video and I fixed it! Thanks for a very detailed video and for saving me some money!
I am facing similar issue. I followed these instructions - Cleared the debris, rotated the blades using hex key. The blades are moving freely .... but the garbage disposal is still making humming noise. How to fix it ? Go for new one ?
Great video......to the point, not over explaining, show everything on camera, and less than 10 minute video (I know some things will take longer, but not for a garbage disposal)! I appreciate that, and you helped me save money! Thank you, subscribed!
That helped me fix my garbage disposal!! Thank you!! My son cleaned out his fish tank and rocks got stuck in the blades, I thought my disposal was a goner. But thanks to you it working smoothly.
Disposals can take a lot of abuse. If they become abnormally quiet, (still runs but super quiet), be sure to grab a Flashlight & peer down into the hole. I can’t tell you how many dishcloths I’ve found in them, & if left in there long enough, will start kicking out the Overload or worse, could eventually cause enough resistance to burn up the Disposal if the overload doesn’t kick off! 👌
Thanks so much for your time and advise. I was able to open and take out the screw 😂 caused dish washer to flood as well. All well now. Reetriated "again" to everyone at home to not remove kitchen sink strainer.
I just wanted to say thank you! We bought our house a year ago and this is the first problem! I was gonna call a plumber when I found your video! You sir are a lifesaver! Easy to follow and very helpful! Thank you again!
Thank you, it saved me hours of unnecessary work. I have been dreading taking the unit down, checking for debris and replacing. It took longer to find the Allen wrench, than to apply to the bottom of the unit, turn and reset. Unbelievable!!
I liked! THIS was the video that got my disposal working again. I was using the wrong size Allen Key. I wasn't feeling any resistance and you said you should if the blades are being stuck. So then it dawned on me: the key isn't big enough. Found a bigger key, found the resistance, knocked it out, and boom, disposal works again! Thanks!
OMG--I am not going to tell how long I waited to figure this out. But after watching your video, I fixed it in less than 5 minutes!!! Thank YOU SAM!!!!!
Thank you so much!! I would hear a humming sound, but that was it. The disposal wasn't working. So, I followed your instructions, since I didn't have the garbage disposal wrench, I thought that I would have to buy one, but you mentioned that I could use the Allen key set! I'm so glad you mentioned the Allen key set! And now, my garbage disposal works!!! yay! My little girl learned this with me and she now knows how to fix a garbage disposal! I will be posting a video on how to fix a garbage disposal! Since I learned something new from the best, I wanted to share my knowledge with everyone and I gave you credit :) Thank you so much!!
Thanks. My wife dropped a knife in our disposal. We got the handle out but the blade was still in there and we couldn't find it. Cranking the disposal with the hex wrench did the job and saves a lot of aggravation and money.
You are a life saver lol. I just saved $100 dollars and more, by you making this video and my rental company would have made me pay about 250. Thanks once again for this great video.
Thank you so much!! It worked and I had been waiting since the beginning of the pandemic to call someone to fix it and I tried your excellent video and even I (totally non-fix it person) was able fix it!! Thank you for sharing your skills!!
Many years later coming in to say you saved me a call to the plumber ! Also the Alan Wrench I used is 1/4 Inch in case anyone wasn’t sure size . $8 later for a bigger set of Alan wrenches and my drain works good as new haha
I have been away and my room mate made this problem. I was going to call plumber. But I thought youtube can help me. I found this video and we did exactly same what you said. OMG!!! I fix it. It take only few minute. Thank you very much.
Thanks Sam, I boiled some hot water, poured baking Soda and white Vinegar down the drain then the hot water, three different times within 24 hours to get the grime loosen then I did exactly what you said!! Thank you so much!
Whoa I cant believe how easy it was. Been asking my husband to see if he can fix it for months. Thanks for the video! And I agree hardest part was finding the right size tool
Haa omg thank you literally a week of trying to figure how the frick my disposal stopped working. I’m pissed who ever throw a freaken ice cream stick in the sink. I literally woke my husband and said guess who just fixed the sink 😂. Oh BIG THANK YOU. You helped me a lot inspired me to go fix it 11:30 pm 😂
Nicely done...being paranoid I would have also unplugged the disposal and flick switch a couple times to get last juice that might be flowing before putting hand in there.
Thank you so much💪💪💪💪..I feel really handy right now..just for fixed it..I checked for metal or plastic.none in disposal..after using Allen key it brought up what was stuck and I was able to pull out from sink..it was the metal needle from food injector I was looking for after I washed the injector
