Thank you for this, fixed my Insinkerator as well! It was humming, couldn't see the jam from up top. The allen key (1/4" for those that don't have the tool) one crank on the bottom and it loosened right up, works perfect now! Thank you! Subscribed.

Definitely work. The key is to LOOk inside before the screwing. Definitely use a flash light. The safety button was huge key to understand

@@hollyrastatter2231 you can use an Allen tool as well! Or you can just buy the tool on amazon. They are pretty cheap! Good luck with home ownership and feel free to to subscribe. It helps me out greatly :)

Looks like the wires were hooked up without a proper stain relief/clamp. That is not to code and an electrical hazard

This video wasn’t a demonstration of how to correctly wire a garbage disposal, it was to show how to fix a common issue. Appreciate the feedback though.
