Friends are there...35 years ago
To celebrate the special occasion here's all the bumpers that were used for the 89-90 season of Garfield and Friends with the vaudeville inspired Friends are There theme! I know for the longest time there were only one or two bumpers that were in pretty crummy quality, though here's them in their full glory!

These are pretty unique. I think it would be cool if other cartoons did bumpers like these.

Technically other shows did get this treatment when it came to syndication. Garfield and Friends itself actually has some other bumpers that were made specifically for syndication. However, they're based on the 'Ready to Party' theme (taken probably from the credits) as 'Friends are there' had long since been retired. Though, these particular bumpers exist due to how the '89-'90 season of CBS Rocks was setup since they didn't do their own dedicated bumpers unlike the previous or proceeding seasons. It's definitely pretty interesting to look back on, and pretty neat to see 'Friends are There' getting some love as it's my fav of all the themes!
