How in the world do you have time to be in beast mode as much as you are and do these awesome videos on top of it?? You're inspiring. Thanks for your channel and such detailed insights!
Hi Des great review, as always, switched from Apple Watch after your review. Loved Apple Watch but battery life driving me insane. Loving venu 2 so far. Cheers
I usually have trouble with reviewers either just restating what I could find on the manufacture's website, or using too many technical terms and being boring. That is not the case at all here. I feel that your reviews give a lot of information in a short amount of time. Very nice.
Great review, Des...as always! I’m excited to see Garmin finally leveraging the screen technology, and supplying much improved screen graphics. That, along with the Body Battery and Sleep improvements are tempting.I don’t need this, but you’ve made me want it. Thanks, man!
This is a real engineering test here!! Love the review. Love seeing all those control groups you set up. I have been watching all your videos. Most accurate testing you have demonstrated.
@@DesFit it’s official, I’ve watched all of the reviews out and this is definitely the most clear, concise consolidation of information video review of the new device out there!
Great video. I love my Garmin watches and would want to use this with the display always on. It's just a bit of a hassle to PLUG it in ever night or two. Why can't they add wireless charging so you can just set it on a charger like the Samsung watches. Sooo much easier.
Great video! I loved that you showed both sizes on your wrist (at different times) during the video so that I can get a feel for which one I’d want based on my wrist size. Incidentally, it’s normal for there to be up to a 3% variation in oxygen saturation readings on any two properly functioning pulse ox devices. So, although it’s kind of impressive that the watch was within 1% of the medical pulse ox device you had, its also technically sort of meaningless. Keep up the great work!
Thanks for the detailed review! I’ve decided on the 2s instead of the 2 and it was really helpful to see you wearing both sizes which shows the actual difference when wearing and using the watch. Thanks for the great content! Your videos are my go to when I want an in-depth and helpful review
Seriously. You should atleast have a million more subs man. The way you present, the kind of details you gather, the effort you put in each video and the quality of your making is just fantastic. I wish you reach that milestone soon. I've a qn for you. Do you think the new features introduced in Venu 2 will hit fenix 6 too?
Good review pace, covered lots , easy to understand, key points highlighted well, watch demo to match with delivery very well done. There was no need for me to stop and rewind the video……One of the best reviews . Good job.
My favorite fitness channel ! Now I want the Venu 2 ! 😂 the crisp clear screen got me 🥰 I paid extra for the fenix 6s sapphire and didn't get the crisp black. I'm really liking this Venu 2 .... thanks for the review! You rock!
You really love what youre doing (reviewing and of course working out). thank you so much for the very awesome review. i decided to check out venu 2s as soon as i finished watching this video 💓
Honestly this thing looks pretty interesting. There's a lot of new little bits of tech in here. That display looks super sharp in your video here. I don't know if it would have looked as good outdoors but you did a great job showing how nice it can look. The UI looks a lot cleaner (although I've never owned a Venu watch for comparison) Amazing review as always Des!
Yup, super interesting with all the new-new included with this release. The display really did blow me away. It’s very good and nothing to do with my camera 😉 Thanks Matt!
@@DesFit oh, btw, I ordered two Venu 2s after your video. I've been on the fence between Venu and Venu 2 but you gave important information that I hadn't heard on other reviews. Plus, when I went to Amazon they were $50 off normal price!! Score!!!
Love the review DesFit great job. Almost got the Polar Vantage M2 which is slightly cheaper here in South Africa but decided to go with the Venu 2. Will be my first Garmin as I've always used Polar.
I love the fitness timers for HIIT. I currently have a separate app to do street parking program workouts. And I hate having to place my phone nearby to keep an eye on the timer. Having the timer on the watch makes so much more sense.
Hi Des, Fantastic in-depth review! Although I am really curious if Garmin sleep tracking has improved in terms of accuracy. Are you still forced to set-up the bed and wake time? Does Venu 2 can track sleep outside of selected time interval? Thanks!
@@DesFit don’t tease me like that! Other than apple fitness plus being better on the Apple Watch ( garmin seems to have improved theirs as well I just don’t know how well), the venu beats the Apple Watch easily in my opinion.
Damn it, never knew it will be this hard to choose a watch! I recently got me a HRM pro chest monitor, and wanted to buy me a garmin watch. The Venu 2 seems to be my dream watch, but the current price puts me off. Is it worth the upgrade over original Venu? Certainly the battery life on Venu is a big minus...
That is one sleek looking watch there. That animated screen is outstanding. I'm going to see what the Fenix 7 (if it's called that) looks like before I jump on this. Killer review. 🤙🏻
Thank you for such a detailed review. I just ordered the Garmin 245 which has emphasis on running. I chose it over the Garmin 55 because of support for strength training in 245. Now I see the Venu 2 has those nice animations for the strength exercises, and showing the muscle groups. Those are nice but when I think of it, not really necessary, as I have books showing me how to do those exercises. Apart from the nice graphics, are the strength training features in the Venu 2 more advanced than those in the 245? What does the 245 miss out here?
Really great video! I've always enjoyed your in depth analysis on the GPS tracking of the watch for different types of sports. Hope you keep making great reviews & analysis videos! Cheers from Malaysia!
@@DesFit I will I went with one of your reviews the last time and you were spot on so I always look to you when I’m buying a new one it’s pricey at €400 I’m in Ireland but it looks to do what I need a sports watch to do I’m heavy and back on the bike lost 1.2kgs in a week with no dietary changes went on a few different diets but they did not work but I came across a channel and the bloke said about that the body produces some kind of hormone like an insulin over night so we can get up and go in the morning so I do a cycle first thing in the morning straight from the bed and it works big time
From the UK I thank you! 😊 I have just purchased the Google Pixel 6 Pro phone, and the Samsung Galaxy 4 watch, the phone is great. However, the Galaxy watch 4 doesn't work on most features with my new phone, pretty useless in fact, albeit a nice looking watch. You have helped me decide to buy the 2S, I'm not super fit like you, I'm 69, a bit knackered now health wise, but I used to go to the gym in my younger days, and walked 8 miles a day 7 days a week for many years until 20 years ago when my health forced me to stop. I'm still slim so that's good I suppose, small mercies! I want to monitor my health on the watch, I won't be using it for strenuously pushing my body beyond its capabilities, those days are over, but it would be good for general monitoring. I have a few questions before I buy please; 1. Can you make phone calls from the watch? 2. I have a Nickel allergy, is the frame/case Aluminium or Stainless Steel, and would the casing touch my skin? (On the Galaxy watch the aluminium part of the frame/case doesn't touch the skin). 3. Are there nice digital clock faces? (On the galaxy watch it's only showing a 24 hour clock even when on PM 12 hour clock, so in the afternoon evening, it displays for example 3:15pm as 03:15 so annoying! I'd appreciate a reply if you could find the time, great video, thank you. 🙂
Great video! Subscribed. Couple if questions, in regards to the venu2 1. Can you turn the touch screen off to stop accidental touches, and just use the buttons to navigate 2. Is the touch screen still responsive with a sweaty finger while training Have you done a top 10
