Gary Clark Jr. "Please Come Home" Recorded at the Do512 Lounge in Austin, TX. View the complete archive of tapings from the Do512 Lounge Sessions here. do512.com/do512...
after all the "famous artists" that are out there pretending to be cool and playing to be musicians, please take a seat and watch and learn, there is real one right here, Gary is the man, thanks god. Music is still alive
Side effects from consuming GCJ may include: difficulty breathing; dizziness; muscle spasm or jerking of all extremities; inability to speak; twitching, twisting, uncontrolled repetitive movements of the tongue, lips, face, arms, or legs; seeing, hearing, or feelings things that are not there; uncontrolled vocal outbursts; unusual sense of well-being.
In this world of artificial music where the most important is the top ten, no matter if you have talent or not, This is a breath of fresh air. This is a real live music, pure talent here.
yeah and the talented ones get manufactured into generic bullshit. Artists like Chris Brown, Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber are all incredibly talented. They just have been consumed by the industry, sold on these dreams of stardom and never became the best musicians they could be and all have suffered in some way. Though, I'm sure they live mostly comfortably and are likely happy with their choice. Fine by me, more underground artists like King Krule or Gary are always there for me.
his timing is incredible... like the wind trying to make a leaf move around... no one knows when and how...the gift of a talented guy, you cannot learn anyhow!
Was introduced to this song while watching Eric Clapton's Crossroads with my uncle. I was cooking and stopped EVERYTHING because I heard the most AMAZING VOICE!!!! What an awesome musician!!! I couldn't get enough of this song
This song is personally my all time favorite. It calms me down when I'm angry, helps put me to sleep at night, & is perfect to listen to on a rainy day.
This song moves me into the "love zone". I'm in awe of how well Gary Clark Jr composed this track here. #melodic #honeydripper #arealmusician #authentic. Give me more grooves like this Gary Clark Jr.😘
You all got to watch (listen) to Mr Clark's Guitar Sessions version of this song. For whatever reason it's not listed here but it moved me even more than the above if that's possible. The lyrics are just as heartfelt, but his guitar solo cuts even deeper. I just had to find my way home from some other planet that version sent me to. Lenny Kravitz meets SRV god rest his soul.
The best silence that I have ever heard. Is like a hole to process the unbearable intensity of breaking up a relationship, just after the high explosion of the solo... real and beautiful emotions there
A oito anos anos atrás ouvia essa música, marcou um tempo que hoje não é mais o mesmo! Esse cara é brilhante, esse solo desse Show e dessa música pra mim é o mais tocante do que outros que procurei.
man i dont want this to end, im a hard core srv and john mayer listener and never really listened to jr clark jr untill maybe the last year or maybe a little more but i gotta say that the feel to this soloing touches my soul, has a deep rooted blues sound but with allot of soul like how some rnb players solo but i know its all blues but i keep playing all the please come homes i can find that jr does and everyone of his solos is different but with the same style of soul and blues sound to it, its great to have a guy like this in our time.
Why does this song make me wanna get into a time machine and go back to a 50's high school dance with my main girl and kiss her while slow dancing for the first time...????? Maybe get more than a kiss?!? 🤔😉
meraviglioso gary e' l artista del momento di rock blues voce strepitosa e chitarra stupenda penso che il mix fra marvin gaye e jimi hendrix faccia capire chi e' e chi potrà' essere gary
I know this it's a chilled version, but you can't beat the live Chicago 2011 performance of this on his own YT channel and that is exactly where i'm off to now.
I love this song, it's beautiful ;) My love is with you Even though you're far away You made me love you And that's where my love will stay, darling Those times I get lonely You're the one who truly knows me I can tell it in the way, darling You show me, why don't you please come home, girl Come on home, girl You've been gone way to long, girl Ooh, come on home, girl Ooh oh Yeah, as time goes by My days go by slower My nights are getting colder Soon my heart is gonna strain Why don't you please
So sad that people like KE$HA, Justin Bieber, and Miley Cyrus get all this airplay and tv recognition when REAL musicians like Gary Clark Jr, Doyle Bramhall II, Rachel Yamagata, and Jonny Lang fly under the radar. Anyone of them have more talent in their pinky finger than Bieber, Miley, and all the rest of them combined ! !
Saw him live in 2017 at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park New Jersey… along with Michael Kiwanuka … Best concert I’ve ever attended in my 51 years…. Saw him again the following summer at musikfest in Bethlehem Pennsylvania.. Same deal… Best concert I’ve ever attended… Every live show could be mistaken for a studio recording.. 😁🔥🔥
