@@JerrySkinner1943 I want to thank you for all of your amazing videos!! My Dad got me into all the old movies...westerns, mysteries, gangster, military & musicals 🤗🤗 I can remember, always, watching them with him as far back as 6yrs. old😊 I’m 58 now and Dad has long passed...but watching these makes me remember how much I enjoyed that with him☺️ It just warms my heart🥰❤️🥰 Thank You, Jerry!!!! ~Cherri 😉
@@JerrySkinner1943, You are a GREAT story teller. I never get tired listening to you. You should have your own TV show and use your talent and voice for many to hear. Mr. Skinner, keep up the great work you do. A admire and fan living in Oklahoma !
Nothing like hearing the voice of my favorite narrator, talk about one of my favorite actors. They don't make movies like they use to, or actors. I always thought Gary was a mild mannered man in real life, as well as an actor. Love hearing the history on him, as well as snippets, of his friends whom I liked also. Thank you Jerry, you are always such a pleasure.
He never struck me as having a sunny personality but indeed had many friends. As for his *character* hmm let's see, he left his wife for another woman. That was sad to hear. 💐
Been a while Jerry, Thanks Again. 'The Coop' was part of America's greatest generation and a great gift to those of us who grew up enjoying their performances.
What a Great Documentary! I know many people have never even heard of Gary Cooper which is sad. He was Definitely one of Best and should Never be Forgotten. Him, John Wayne, Charles Bronson, Charlton Heston and Countless Other Wonderful Actors that we were Blessed to have......they were a dying Breed. I've Always loved watching all of the old Movies especially Western ones. It reminds me of my Daddy, I used to watch them All with him. There are literally Thousands of Exceptional Westerns with Great Actors who I hope the Entertainment World will Not let people forget. Thank you for this Documentary. 💗💗💗
@@60Cascade I agree with you. NONE of us are perfect. He was a great actor and a good man. His wife knew it, that's why she stayed with him till the end.
Dear Mr. Skinner, You are, in my opinion, a National Treasure. This video was released just in time for a reminder of what counts, as our National Spirit is certainly lagging. Keep doing what you do so very well, we need reminders of why we keep fighting those out to tear this Great Country to pieces.
You think you know a lot about somebody and then you watch one of Mr. Skinner’s videos and find out you really didn’t know much at all. I come away from this wonderful video feeling enriched and grateful for your time and effort involved in making these videos. And, learning about these great actors we’ll never see the likes of again. Thank you.
Mr Skinner, I truly appreciate your videos. You always treat you subjects with honor and dignity. This is the only way to treat people who cannot speak for themselves. You are an excellent biographer and honorable man. Thank you for your work.
The Westerner with Gary Cooper and Walter Brennan playing Judge Roy Beam definately makes my list of one of favorite old westerns; side by side with Red River with John Wayne and Montgomery Clift
Wow....what else could have been said about the iconic Gary Cooper. The best of the best . Thank you Jerry for sharing with us these immortal stars....it brings tears to my eyes.
Thank you Mr. Skinner for this marvelous piece on Gary Cooper. Gary Cooper has been a favorite of mine & my husband’s for... well, always 😊 You taught us some things we didn’t know, he was definitely one of the best actors ever, as you’ve probably heard many times, they just don’t make ‘em like that anymore. Our favorite movie of his is Sergeant York, without a doubt the best movie ever and it being a true story, just made it even better. Thank you again, you did a FINE job. 🥰🥰🥰
Mr. Skinner you have a wonderful gift my friend . You deserve an Academy Award or an Oscar 🥇 for your amazing biographies no doubt . As a lover of history I think you should have a television show.
A Quality Actor, Man and Friend to many, his resume can be summarized by a man with character. One of my favorites in an industry that has evolved into a monicker plainly said, “They don’t make to many men like that anymore“ “Sargeant York” was my personal favorite ❤️ Thank you for sharing, ❤️ My Best Always , 🚒 Jesse
Great vid, as always. When I lived in Montana in the 80's, Gary was fondly remembered as one of the state's great native sons...and probably still is. And there's every reason to be proud of Gary. 'Nice Guys' in Hollywood are are rare thing.
Another documentary well done Mr. Skinner. Gary Cooper has always been one of my favorites. I'll be watching some of the movies you included here...again.
The thing I most admire about Gary Cooper is that politics didn't get in the way of him being one of the most decent human being in the movies. High Noon was considered as an allegory of the communist witch hunt/blacklisting. Yet, he, a conservative, not only gave one of his best performance in High Noon, but put his name and career on the line to defend the screenwriter Carl Foreman, member of the communist party.
Mr. Skinner, I have enjoyed all of your videos immensely and your narration is outstanding! Thank you so much I have learned so much about what actually happened and some of it is amazing, so far off the the word of mouth rumors I've heard all my life! Thank you for all the work you've done and allowing us all to know the truth about so many fine actors and what actually happened in the past.! I love all the old pics of where people lived were born and died and then buried! Excellent work thank you so much for sharing it all!!
Mr Skinner thanks. I was waiting for late Garry Cooper life done by only you. Garry was so young....60 years only .... I would like you to make the segment about Jimmy Stewart, Sir? Cheers from Toronto!
I consider "Coops" performance in Sgt. York to his finest. A perfect portrayal of Mr. York in every aspect and a fabulous story. Coop was hand picked by Mr. Alvin York to play the part. Mr. York would only consent to the movie if Coop would portray him.
Well Jerry, you did it again, you brought tears to my eyes. An incredible documentary of Gary Cooper. I saw almost all of his movies, even some silent ones. Always loved this cowboy. High noon and the hanging tree were two of my favorites. Thanks again for making my week, I hope you realize the joy and the pleasure you bring to people, your the greatest, thank you sir. Augie and Jill Blase🤠
I love your real storys. Gary Cooper always seemed sad to me.Coop and John Wayne were my Dad's favorite cowboys and it was no coinsidence that my tall handsome Irish Father was a man everyone liked.
When Jerry Skinner puts out a Video, I think to my self, ""what is Jerry going to do different on his next one. there's just no way to make them better than this one.."" but ....He did it. EVERY time.. and Every one of his videos are Classic, and each one, honestly , deserves an Oscar Award.
High Noon has to be the my favorite..To be all alone, scared to death, all your friends desert you, prolly gonna die, and still not run. REAL MAN AND HERO.
Hey Jerry! I love your biography profiles of these iconic stars. Would you consider doing one on Johnny Horton? He’s one of my favorites. Just a suggestion, my friend. Regardless, please keep up the great content and I’ll keep enjoying your documentaries.
Mr. Jerry, a bit of Cooper trivia. Gary taught a lot of folks in hollywood to ride a horse. Clark Gable was one of his students. Gary was a consultant to the industry on Indian clothes, bow and arrows, and other items.( he could pick up an arrow from a group of arrows and tell you which tribe the arrow was from)
Oh, happy day, Jerry shows up in my YT notifications! Another fabulous bio, Jerry! I loved Gary Cooper, and along with being a very good person and terrific actor, he. was. gorgeous! Looking forward to your next stellar production ~ Happy Holidays, Jerry, to you and yours from Oregon!
Great bio!! Biographies of Gary are written everywhere but none with precise data, thanks for the video. By the way, María's husband passed away this year, rest in peace
