wow must have been amazing he is an underestimated artist and seems to get no acaim for his work im a singer and songwriter my self and would love to have seen him preform live and if i could right like he can and perform it would be amazing
@@idoliznuman8835 - Totally. The most amazing album ever. But Cedric’s part in it can’t be overstated. In fairness, I’d say the same about Paul Gardiner. Numan gathered some amazingly understated and underrated musicians around him on that album.

From the first word spoken the first keys played this song is ever so perfect. Gary didn't take himself way to seriously, he just has a gift of hard work and talent combined with love and compassion.
This is the first time I watch the video in its entirety after all these years. I never thought it was particularly interesting. That is until I just discovered he appears out of the shadows in his Replicas garb at the very end. What an unexpected surprise.
My mother hated Gary Numan from the minute she saw me captivated by Tubeway Army’s first TV performance in 1979 (the only other music she hated more was Joy Division) but the first time I played Love Needs No Disguise she came in my room and started dancing saying she loved it. She couldn’t believe it when she realized Numan was singing lol. Epic tune from an epic line up....now it’s time to play Dramatis - The Shame 😉
I've recently 're-discovered' this track, for the first time in some 40 odd years. I have it on 45, tucked away somewhere, as well as Dramatis's album. And for some reason, I just can't stop playing this. It's without doubt, one of Gary's, finest moments. ❤
Love the era of synth music and gary numan was at the top of the tree for me a great visionary and my favourite artist by far,had many happy hours playing his music and still do now
Whilst at school my mate Andrew who was a massive Numnoid obviously played all his songs, for me a massive Japan fan, I really liked some of Gary's songs, this is one of my favourites, if I remember correctly the Bside was Take me Home, another absolute masterpiece
I forgot how good this sounds just reminds me how old i have got! i miss the 80s wish i had a time machine, it also proves how ingenious and creative our man is with his continued talent i can't wait for the new album release he is currently working on. 😎👍
Love this track. It takes me back to the 80’s, sharing a flat with my sister and her friend. I was the weirdo as the term was used back then. I’d relive it any day x
Just in case you're interested...... GN was guest vocals only on this song, he had no hand in writing or its production this was down to the band members, it reached no 33 in the UK charts unfortunately, due to lack of effort from their label, the following album tanked.
This was filmed 13th October 1981 at Shepperton Studios, between Numan's globetrekking journeys. If the first flight attempt had not been aborted late September he would have been unable to participate in the recording. 200 selected fans were invited to attend with 1 friend.
Brilliant song at the time, and still a brilliant song today. I love the end of the video where Gary is wearing the Royal Artillery mess jacket (Replicas jacket). His most iconic look by far.
My mother uesed to tailor me a full "berserker-album tour outfit" . I went with my girlfriend - wearing a "Dance Hat" to Sacrificed tour evening at Hammersmith Apollo London. OK wrong outfit , wrong colour of the hair (blue ) hence black was the color of the evening and the tour , but I enjoyed the glimps of the people and the the concert
