Thanks, my 2012 CRV had same issue today. Will use metal wire same way you shown and loop it around the plastic pull lever. It seems like a common 2012-2016 CRV problem along with VTEC engine noise at the start up. Honda Engineers wake up, don't make us long time Honda fans abandon Honda brand.

@@JohnWickkkk *I didn't feel like getting into this method to fix it, and it would cost $$$ to hire a mechanic, or be a hassle to do it myself the right way.* *So I wrapped just enough electric tape around the gas door holder, so that when I pushed in the gas door, it kinda snaps in place shut.* *I have nail clippers in my car, and I use the flat metal swivel piece on it to easily pry the door open. (I put a napkin over it so I don't scratch anything).* *It's worked this long, but I noticed it's loosening up to a point where I should redo it, or add to it. (probably redo it)*
So I got. 2010 crv and gas cable works and all but the door won’t open. Physically need 2 people to 1. hold the gas lever open and 2. Need a 2nd person with a object to forcefully open the gas cap. That’s what I’m trynna figure out on how to fix
@@franciscocatalan8123 I never fixed it because it would of taken some time and haven’t had the time to do. The fix I found for it was using a credit card and inserting it poping it open every time
@@legend_ofaimbot7006 As far as I know, there is a spring on the gas door that should be either missing or broken. If I do fix it I’ll let you know. Thanks for the reply!
