Gasoline (2 Stroke) Powered Tee Post Driver - Let's Figure This Out

I need to run a bunch of fencing so I decided to get a gas powered tee post driver.
Here is what I got: XtremepowerUS 52cc Gas-Powered T Post Driver Fence Post Driver Gasoline Piling 2-Stroke Engine EPA Certificated w/Storage Case.
UPDATE: I heard back the customer service and was advised to use 30 weight oil in the gear case.

Thanks for the tips. I just bought this same unit to install a chain link fence. Like you said, the instructions don't say anything about adding the gear lube...I'm glad you brought that up. That was a good tip about possibly using the bed of a pick-up truck...genius! Thanks!!

I just got it from Amazon. Since we live in the country, I get most of my stuff there. This model is not currently available, but there are a bunch more that are basically the same.

I understand the objection to using a step ladder to gain height. What are your thoughts on using a work platform like the Gorilla Work platform, which can adjust up to 30" height and has leg width extenders for additional stability?

I have one I use on occasion for a single post or two, but if I have to do a fence line, I prefer the tractor. I'm getting ready to do a couple of ground rods and I'll use the gorilla ladder as a platform

Not sure. I use ethanol free gas and drain when I'm done.

Was watching your video because just like you I noticed there was no oil in the sight tube and there’s no mention of it in the manual. I’m thinking gear oil is the best choice as well. Mine also showed up with only one hinge pin as well.

I actually heard back from the manufacturer and they recommended 30 weight. I left the gear oil in it. but if I need to top it off, I'll add 30 weight (Or the closest I have on the shelf)

Since I made this video I have gone one to put a 5-wire fence arond a 2.5 acre pasture and the unit was nearly flawless. It had one issue. If the tee post gets croocked, the top will score the inside on the tube and the striking hammer can get stuck. Not a big deal as I simply cleaned up the burrs with a file and now that I know it can happen I keep the unit as centered as possible on the tee post.
