I'm on my 2nd day post and have been having crazy gas pains in my neck and under my boob lol crippling and I cried like a baby! Nice to see in a couple days I will be feeling a lot better like most everyone else
My surgery is in two days. Before watching your video I watched a video of a girl 4 weeks post op that regretted surgery and was crying the entire time. Now I’m watching yours and I feel so much better! So, thank you! Glad you’re doing so great.
I just wanted to say that I love your videos. They have been the most helpful thing I have found online. Making me feel a little less anxious about my upcoming surgery!
I have watched all your videos. You look so great 2 years out. I am having VSG in Mexico in July. I hope my recovery, attitude and success resemble yours. Big thanks for showing stages!
I just want to say thank you so much for raising my spirits about the vsg surgery. Almost every video I watch is one crazy complication after another. At one point, I had almost talked myself out of the surgery. I have to know in my heart that my upcoming surgery is going to be just as smooth as yours. Continued luck and blessings in your journey and I look forward to watching more of your videos!
Hello have you had your surgery and if so how did it go for you I’m going for consultation on March 29 I have changed my mind about six times I am so scared but I really want to do it but I’m scared
Its so awesome how fast you got back on your feet. I was a mess for two or three weeks, lol But you're a champ, powering through everything! I am super impressed! I know you'll keep it up because you're awesome!
Thank you.. i'm going the beginning stages (no surgery yet) you made me feel less afraid. I currently feel completely comfortable with having the surgery. You gave me an idea of what's to come. I look forward to my surgery. Many blessings to you on your weightloss journey
I am so glad I came across your video I am scheduled to have my consultation March 29 after hearing so many horrible stories how people are nauseous all the time and sick from 4 to 8 weeks I have changed my mind about six times about having the surgery now listening to your story makes me feel much better I really appreciate that
I was waiting for your update!! lol. Glad to hear everything went well. congrats on the poop!! I live for a good bowel movement and have not gone since the day before my surgery(monday) so I am pretty jealous! ;) glad to hear you are feeling so well.
I love those IV nurses, they have so much experience, I find they usually do a great job even with my small veins as well. I love hearing your story, getting excited and nervous for my turn on Monday!
Glad your doing so well. I'm glad your IV was so great. mine is my worse battle wound and i got pretty good veins. Your mom is amazing taking such good care of you. You are doing fantastic!
Thank you! I was definitely expecting some serious bruising, especially when they said it would be in my hand--I got lucky! And yes, my mom is basically the best :)
So I have been following you for a bit and one of the thing you do is the caramel premier in coffee and I finally tried it and holy crud! It is SO good!
Just found ur videos. I'm 9 days post op (VSG 8/21/18). I was in the hospital for 2 days, and because of the heparin shots, I bruised really badly. The bruising is slowly going away but they actually stopped the heparin. They gave me shakes in the hospital day #2. I have my post op on 9/6 and Im supposed to have my diet advanced but Im already full on liquids, I get a lot of resistance from my stomach. The head hunger is real though. My energy comes/goes. I gained 7 lbs in fluids from the hospital but now I'm down 12 lbs 😁
It took me 2 weeks to adjust energy wise to liquid diet. Work would not have been the right choice for me. Exhaustion and brain fog and the new eating schedule took a while... the next two weeks I slowly regained energy. I’m teaching from home due to Covid and although pain and gas really weren’t issues for me? At 51 I found I needed the time. I hope this helps someone who may not bounce back as fast as this lady.
Yay! What a fabulous loss! I remember they gave me blood thinner shots while I was in the hospital but didn't have to do it at home. I can't believe you pooped on your first day! I didn't go until 1 week after. You're doing really well! Your mom is so awesome!
Thanks! Yeah, I asked my doctor if I had to keep going with the shots, and he was like, "yes, definitely." :( Haha I guess I'll have to get over it. And I love my mama :)
Yas girl you made it a week!! And WHAT? Amazing loss so far!! You're looking so upbeat and happy already that's so great!! That's so interesting about the tilt and vertical surgery. Technology like okay hahaha.
Thank you so much for watching! I'm definitely pleased with how everything's gone so far, and yeah I had never heard of the tilting either, but I let them do their thing!
Very happy you are already feeling great. IV drugs are awesome aren't they! I had to do blood thinner shots once a day for 3 weeks. It was unpleasant at first but I got used to it. Just make sure you spread the shots out to help keep the bruises from joining up into one massive one.
Uh yes, those IV pain meds were amazing. I'm going to have to get over my fear of injecting myself real soon, glad I'm not the only one in that boat. :)
I'm one day post-op, while I had some of the gas pain, it was very manageable. I'm just now starting to feel the pain from the incisions. Oh, and trying not to use the abs has been as hard as I had heard.
Wow!!! That is an amazing weight loss!! I'm so glad you are feeling better now!! I hope I wasn't too annoying on Instagram about your shot. Just looking out! Love how amazing you're doing!! 😘💗😘💗
Hey, thanks for watching, and thanks for your support! No, not annoying at all! I actually called my doctor's office the very next day and they said I could switch to my belly now that my incisions were more healed, so I've been doing them in my belly ever since. :)
Thank you for your valuable info. I am having WLS in June!🤞 You sound like you are doing real good! I'm new to U-Tube so I'm sorry I don't know your name! Keep up the good work!!
Hi, i am planning to get a vsg. Can you please tell me what was the pre-op preparation your doctor made you go through. How many weeks or months was the pre-op preparation?
Congrats on your weight loss!~ So happy that all went well!~ I wish that all nurses would be as great with small vanes as yours was.. I've had horrible experiences.. You are doing GREAT! Kip sipping that water!! ~
No gas pain? Oh during my hyster that was the bad part for 1.5 days . Oh and the ones that put the shot of numbing agent ,.. brilliant, why don’t that all do that?
Hi there, hope you're able to answer my questions ( PLEASE). So I believe you said the hospital was Morristown. Just curious on the Dr as I'm having mine on Thursday. Also, how long is the surgery?
@@FoodieTurnedSleevie Thank you so much. So I'm getting ready to go buy stuff that I will need for afterwards. In one of your videos you mentioned adding something to your coffee, what was it a shake?
I have watched a ton of wls videos (I'm pre op) but this is the very first one that I've ever heard about the 45° tilt!! 😱 I wonder if they all do that? I can't breathe laying flat so I'd prefer the tilt, anyone else in the comments get tilted too?
Hello what is the name of the Doctor and what Hospital in Moorestown did you have the surgery .... I am so Happy for you ... And is this doctor located in Moorestown ? .. thank you for always responding ...
@@missb5241, no. I was pre-diabetic, plus my private dr. had been keeping great records before my appointment with the weight loss Dr. They just exchanged notes and got me Immediate approval. All I had to do was lose 15 pounds then they would do the surgery. I lost 21 pounds in the first 2 weeks so surgery was on.
@@dontamathis5464 Good luck and best wishes to you keep me updated here I have my consultation on the 29th of this month I’m still scared but I think I’m going to do it

Danielle's VSG Journey Haha I think if I licked a Dorito, that would lead down a very slippery slope for me! Can you have coffee? I'm allowed one cup per day and it really helps with my energy levels.
