GAVIN !!!! LITERALLY 8 minutes and and 4 seconds into the video I stopped and casually looked up flights to Paris. 30 minutes later and a call with the boyfriend we have booked ourself flights to Paris in June. :D I haven't even watched the entire Vlog yet, wants happening....
I got emotional watching the end of this because it was THE BEST time!! Honestly couldn’t have done it with anyone else, you and Sabine are such wonderful human beings and I loved making these memories with you both. You are a gem of a human being and this vlog was perfection, cattywompus plans and all! Miss you alreadddyy 💛💛
I've breastfed on a plane. Never thought to ask the person beside me if it was ok, lol. You got a problem with it, you can hold my screaming baby! I do try to be discreet and cover up as much as possible, but at the end of the day, my baby's gotta eat and from what I hear, taking milk/formula through security is a pain. *EDIT* I am not saying you shouldn't be courteous and mention to the person beside you that you are going to breastfeed, I am just saying it never crossed my mind to ask. I am really shy and quiet and I think bringing it up would just be more awkward than me just discreetly nursing my baby.
Yeah I don't think you need to ask someone's permission to breastfeed, and when you do it discreetly, it really doesn't affect anyone else. Only prudes. I think only prudes would be offended when they shouldn't be. It's a perfectly natural and necessary thing to do. So I totally get it!
After watching this i decided to finally book myself my dream trip to Florence. As i'm a single pringle I've always felt I can't travel alone, but watching this video I just thought F is and do it! Thank you!
The fact that you stayed at an Arthur Rimbaud-themed hotel, who was part of the first openly gay couple in literary history, and you never mentioned it, is absolutely sending me 😂 I love your travelling content so much
@@GavinReadsItAll yeah! There’s even a great movie with young Leo DiCaprio called “Total Eclipse”. It was the way I first found out about Rimbaud and then became absolutely enamored with his poetry
LOVE you Gavin, honestly cannot describe how much this trip ment to me and how much you bring into my life 🥹❤️ Thank you so SO much from the bottom of my heart and I can’t wait for the next trip together because I sure hope that there will be many more in the future 🥰🥰🥰
There's such a beautiful glow to your face when you go on these adventures. (Even more than normal) You can feel the happiness and an almost Free feeling through the screen. Thank you for thinking of us and taking us along.
I am saving for a trip to Ireland, would love to go there and visit the home of my ancestors. Also, to take in the beautiful surroundings of the Emerald Isle.
Another fab travel adventure! With your love of gothic novels, I'm curious about whether you've read 'Rebecca' by Daphne du Maurier? I did my uni dissertation on her books!
The trip to Japan sounds amazing and it's on my bucket list. I wish I could save enough by then. I hope you do another trip in the future. Would love something like this!
Thank you for taking us along on your trip to Paris, Gavin! Looks like you all had a wonderful time! 🗼🥐☕ And Ash trying to open the door when you got back home was THE CUTEST THING!!!! 😻🖤😻
It's mind boggling to me that you only have 55k subs! You deserve millions of people following you because you're such a stellar person and honestly, even though I have never met you in real life, I can tell you're a genuinely amazing person. Thank you for talking us on this journey with you. Much love from sLOVEnia
I loved watching all three of you together in one of my favorite places. When I've been in Shakespeare & Co. you could take photos - although it wouldn't have occurred to me back in the pre-social media days to take video. Can you take photos still? And I just choked up, so sad, to see Notre Dame. I assume the lighting was showing mostly scaffolding in the back, right? And that's so cool you went and saw the cafe from Amelie. Love that movie so much. Also, have you seen the movie Charade? (Audrey Hepburn and a huge cast of great old actors!) I thought of that when you were all on the boat. Probably my fave old movie.
Loving this vlog. Many comments amalgamated together. So cool you got to see both Jim Morrison and Oscar Wilde's graves. Brighton Rock was on the Scottish school syllabus back when I was at school, it is good but think would appreciate more being older.
Loving the timing of the music on the seine tour. I know you couldn't get flowers by miley due to copyright issues. I just imagined you acting it out with a bunch of flowers etc.
I just finished Giovanni's Room and was excited to see what you thought only to find out that you DNF'ed the book, but I respect your decision. You gotta protect your mental health. It's the same reason I don't want to read A Little Life. I'm not ready to be that traumatized.
Ugh breastfeeding is still so hard sometimes because people r so snobbish about moms just trying to feed their babies, it’s nuts. Luckily my hubby was super supportive with my boys but still, it was such a struggle when we were out.
Aww I always miss my furbabies when I leave them for a getaway. My limit is a week as I'm itching to get back to them. The France introduction is the best! I wonder if she had a miss congeniality moment the minute she screeched like that 🤣
Omg this vlog is everything!!! The way you edited this, Gavin it’s stunning!!! Like so professional, and high quality!! Also, Paris looks so gorgeous, I’ve always wanted to go and I love how this vlog makes me feel like I’ve traveled there with you! 🥰
That would be so amazing to go to Japan with you Gavin! Lol I am definitely jealous about all the trips you get to take. Darn having no money and two young kids! 😂 When you farted in public and had to sit on the naughty chair I was laughing so hard! 😂😂😂. What a beautiful place. The highest place on my bucket list however is the UK so maybe I need to book you as my guide for that when I come to England lol 😉
Allons-y, Paris!!! 💜💜💜 All those Paris, cafés and bakeries. They look so awesome as well as the Luovre Shakespeare and Company books and Abbey books looked awesome as well
I was having just a shit day and needed the shot of positive energy that is Gavin. Vlog definitely makes me want to travel. Thank you for all the good vibes, I know its silly but your videos never fail to lift me up when I'm in low spirits.
When I went to Japan I lived on coffee. One morning I told my husband that I really needed a cup, we walked around the corner and there - on the sidewalk!!! - was a parked van with this guy selling coffee. He had a full-on cappuccino machine in the back. If that was here (in Canada) I'd be suspicious, but in Japan, it just felt normal and at that moment an answer to prayer haha.
At 15:03 unfortunately same I remember someone insult , me and my friends that we are lesbians , which is really painful for me because I felt it wasn't Ture for me but than I follow in love with that friend. Sometimes I still like that (only when I feel in unsafe places of being queer which is not fun)
Next time you want to plan something for Paris, follow Jay Swanson. He’s a Vlogger and also has a video on the good croissants in town. P.S. The Vlog was so much fun!
This is such a great vlog! I love all the photos and footage. I'm hoping to visit the UK in the near future. I'm having a little adventure of my own and that I am moving from one state to another. I am going to be moving from Tennessee to Florida to stay with a friend. And that is going to be taking a lot of my money. So when I have enough saved up I'm heading to Europe.
What a dushbag! you are so right the baby just needs to eat and I'm so happy you think like that.❤️ Some people can be really mean or weird if you breastfeed in public.
Exactly, there should never be any shame brought to a mother for needing to breastfeed their child. Some people need to get their heads out of their own butts.
@@GavinReadsItAll or when they send you to the toilets when you ask where you can feed your baby. 😅 And if you ask them if they would eat their food there they look at you like your crazy. So I stopped asking and just fed whereever my son wanted to eat. Haha
What a jerk. For the record, I wouldn't have asked permission to feed my babies. If I see a mom nursing, especially if it's an older baby, I always make an effort to make eye contact with the mom and smile, or if it seems appropriate, pass by and mention how nice it is to see such a happy baby.
I went to Paris in October and your vlog made me well up with tears, seeing all those beautiful familiar sights again was an absolute treasure 😍🤩 thank you for sharing!!
I will be having some adventures in 2023! I have a trip planned to NYC, another to upstate NY to visit a friend and family trips planned to Michigan and Florida 💅
Oh my goodness you haven't been on a plane for so long! I hope you enjoy traveling a little bit more. I love travelling and do it a lot and it is some of my favourite vlogs to make as well. Giovanni's room is on my shelf and I am so ready to read it! Baldwin's are often considered modern classics and from what you're saying makes sense. And I do love beautiful writing. A shame about the problematic elements!! And if it was making you uncomfortable and unhappy then dnf was definitely the way forwards. I went to paris a lot in a year because my sister did her year abroad there and we had a place to stay. Love Sabine so much
The DNF was perfect. There's an LGBTQ+ book club in Paris that just read that a month or two ago. Were you able to check out some of the used English book shops as well ? San Francisco Book Co is right around the corner from The Abbey Bookshop. lol at your first macaron being from an Italian ice cream shop. 😂 I am so glad you picked up The Paris Library ! It's the story of The American Library in Paris during WW2. I did a reading vlog for it shortly after it came out. The author lives in Paris part time, so she frequently pops into the shops to sign copies of the book.
Traveling is fun, but coming home to see your fur babies and sleep in your own bed is great, too. I love Amelie. Hopefully I will make it to France one day. Thanks for letting me live vicariously ❤️ If you go back you may want to read the August Dupin stories by Edgar Allan Poe, and see where you could be inspired to go based on that. Catacombs tour and morgue museum, anyone?
Gavin, thank you for taking us with to Paris! I loved seeing it all! Maybe someday I’ll get overseas but until then I will travel with you this way! Thank you again!❤
Not Gavin trying that Caramel Macaron with trepidation and apprehension.

This might be my favorite video you've created 💕 I went to Paris for the first time last year and it was magical. This video just made me want to go back so badly!
I'm just so excited for you to go to Japan! I hope until there you'll be caught up with One Piece, and that you would be able to go to the Mugiwara Store (One Piece themed store).
gibert joseph on the boulevard saint michel is a bookstore with six floors. it's mainly french books, but they do have a really good english section on the 2nd floor. they've got both new books and livres en occasion (second hand) if that's your sort of thing.
Gavin, this was such a beautiful time! Thank You so much for taking us!! I'm from New York, and the only place aboard I have ever been is Canada. I've always wanted to see Europe, especially France! Do you have any tips for overseas travel, especially Paris? P.S. I LOVED Ghost Eaters!!! SUPER creepy!
That comment at the beginning about doing what you want to do in 2023 really motivated me to look at properly booking Edinburgh! Thanks for the motivation! I'm also going to Paris this summer for my 30th and this video made me so excited for this trip :) I've been before but its been 10 years and I'm so excited to go back :)
Gavins face when he realized that 2018 was five years ago 🤣🤣🤣 also have you ever considered linking your itinerary for the trips you're going to go on this year?
Ah this vlog has made me wanna go back to Paris! It's the most beautiful city and you went to so many interesting places I didnt see. Might have to take myself 👀
I loved this vlog so much! I'll be coming back for it, if I ever have a need for wholesome Paris content. And it made me excited to hopefully travel a bit with my friends this year as well!
My thoughts on the discomfort we experience when reading some opinions or situations in historical books is that we know now just how wrong they were. I have just read a book set in 1987 and a main character is dying because he contracted HIV and is in the late stages of AIDs. The author really captured the 80s attitude towards it and I felt so uncomfortable but that is positive because it means I know that was wrong . EDIT Now I have seen the end of the vlog I completely understand why you wouldvtgen DNF that book. While I think it is good to read something that makes you uncomfortable if that discomfort then become self negativity then no it is not sonething to continue xx
