Just replaced my control panel following this video (slightly different GE Profile model) - Thank you!! Saved $500 vs replacing microwave that worked fine except for a few buttons on control panel!
i have a Kenmore range hood, but a lot of the setup is similar. I needed to replace the touch panel and many of the design elements are about the same. A few of your tutorial steps were critical to me getting through this! Thank you for posting, very helpful and I'm sure a lot of folks will benefit as well!

Depending on the depth of your cabinets the screws holding the vent panel may be hidden. I had to drop the front end of the microwave from the cabinet to access the screws. Once I realized that, the instructions were spot on.
You are the best. Surface light wasn’t working and display was dim. Not exactly my model but basically the same. Less than 10 minute total time to remove, replace and install the control board. Thank you good sir!!

Sweet video and awesome info. Sir! U R the man, thx for making this somewhat less scary about dealing with the wiring. My LED clock/display is the issue.

I gotta admit, I'm worried about reconnecting the wiring properly. Does a diagram come with the new control panel? Are the connections individual to each set of wires--in other words, does it only fit the right way?

thanks all for the advices. I realized one of the wire is damaged. not sure how, probably melted by the solenoid. does the fan solenoid coil gets hot during operation?
Great video and very helpful! Quick question: my replacement panel doesn't have a pre-drilled hole for connecting the grounding wire to the control board housing. Like, there's an indention where the hole should be, but there's no hole. Can/should I just drill one myself or should I contact the manufacturer for a new part? I'd like to get this microwave fixed instead of waiting around for a new part to arrive!
my GE miro JVM1540SN1SS............hey quick question- so the fix u have works great, but every so often it still happens, ...question is.... if i order a replacement part. so i get the GE WB27X10871 Smart Board, and if i do will that solve problem, or do i need the Assy-Control Panel Part Number: WB56X10826 ? since the control panel has the buttons?
Question, my GE JVM1750 over the range has partial function. The #2, #8 and Vent buttons don't work but the rest does. I am still able to microwave with the other keys. What can be causing this? Thank you. Really need Vent to work. Is it the touchpad or control panel that needs changing? Thanks
You probably don't need a new touch pad. It's much more likely to be merely dirty contacts on the ribbon connector. I just cleaned mine with rubbing alcohol and put things back together, and the machine is working properly again.
I tried cleaning the ribbon contacts 3x, still not working. I checked continuity per the wiring diagram and nothing. I assume that means I need to replace?
Hi, I am not sure if I should replace the main control panel of my Samsung Over the range Microwave. Last night when I was using my microwave, it stopped working. I tried to turn it back on but the light inside the microwave and the panel display flickered then went dead. I unplugged it and plugged it back in and got the same thing. I tried it one more time but this time tried turning the exhaust fan on first. The exhaust fan ran perfectly but then when I open the microwave door, the light flickered and the exhaust fan died right after. I haven't tried to do anything with it yet. Should I try replacing the fuse as it seems to be the cheapest solution at this point. I doubt this will help as the microwave did not completely went dead. I could still see intermittent power going into the unit. I might try to clean all the connectors and see how things go. Please help and suggest what is the likely cause of this! Thanks.
I just tried to replace the control panel (just the panel, not the touchpad) with a new one that I bought from RepairClinic. It powers on, tells me to set the clock, but the buttons still don't work. With the old control panel, the buttons sometimes worked - now, they don't work at all. Did I connect something wrong? I thought I followed this video carefully. What can I do next? And if both touchpad and control panel need to be replaced, can I either return the control panel and get RepairClinic Item #963128 instead?
+RepairClinic.com I need to speak with someone knowledgeable. I called your customer care team, and was transferred over to some private repair service in my State. But I don't want that. I want to be able to either get the new control panel working, or determine whether I need to buy a new touchpad with it.
Have a GE JVM7195DF1WW - worked fine until I gave the control panel 1 hard bang because I was angry about something ! Now nothing, only get the normal press sound on keys 2-3 and 8 ! No display either ! So would the 1 hard bang kill the the panel board ? This the main control board or display board ? Are your parts original ge ? Seems you have this for 171.65 on your site ! Any other thoughts ? Thanks elliott
Do not replace control panel or control board. Just simply use your hot air blower and heat in front of touch key for one or two minut. do not heat display only key number. your touch key problem will go away
This is not true, Adora keypad and control pannel do not come separate!! According to their site the pannel is 185. dollars without shipping??? It is the whole pannel not just the keypad, which is all I need. But, unavailable. so this video is bull. Try and find it. Also, if however, this is just for the keypad it is way overpriced a new microwave is about $300. so why would you spend 185 or even 140? Think about it?
