Hi Law, great show as always. I' ve been having similar isseus with my lower back and found out my L5/S1 disc is herniated. Hopefuly it's not the same with you, just be careful and maybe have it checked with MR. Have a quick recovery and fun on skates soon.
I got some kizer advance 72 to put on Sways for urban/rec skating, but so far have skated them mostly on ramps. They are so much fun. Pumping on ramps sends me flying with minimal effort. Great for when i skate with the kids. You are right about the groove, no way my old legs are getting boot down. I wanted big wheels but i was worried that coming from aggressive skates, that 80 would feel to tall, so i wanted an in-between as an introduction. Plus i wanted a groove so grinds were still an option. I'm not good enough to do groove tricks on them but i wanted it there for soul/mizu grinds. Great frame, I can imagine they would be good for vert
Hey Law love the channel and ur content I missed this live stream but I’m currently watching at work. I’ve always wanted to ask you as a rollerblade company owner. How do u feel about someone using ur skate to make a custom quad skate setup?? I believe in a hard boot quad skate is far better then the traditional heel boot but I also feel thers some type of feelings t words skaters who use inline boots. And wanted ur opinion on it. I believe that hard boots is a game changer than the flimsy leather skates they have now.
Great show thx. Just a little feedback, I am a true 47, so about 30,5 to 31 mondo. Sadly the Omni was way too small for me, I couldn’t fit my foot into the XL shell, and the biggest liner was too small, anyway. (Tried other thin liners but didn’t help). I really want to skate the Omni because I love stiff skates. I’m big and heavy so the medium stiffness feels like soft, high stiffness feels like medium…🤪Admittedly I also had ankle pain on both ankles on both feet, maybe because my feet are also wide….I hope the Omni V2 will be somehow bigger. I will definitely try them out !
Oh man, I’m excited for those 90mm frames! I was stoked for the video alone because I’ve been thinking of getting some big wheel frames, but the reveal was the cherry on top!
I have the compass 80s as my 2nd setup on my Razor shifts. Such a smooth ride, though I spooked myself at first with how fast they were going down hill.
Those Compass 4x80 frames are money! I love mine thanks Law. I have became an urban skater more than aggressive these days and these satisfy my skating itch.
@backtoblading I skate the plastic GAWDS 58mm flat for aggressive but wanted to try some bigger wheel skating. I have some FRUFRAPs and some GC 80mm aluminium frames, do you think the FR’s would be a good big wheel option, and are the GC 80s a good frame. I’m 6,2” and 125kg, but was a bit nervous about going bigger wheels. Thanks.
The GC 80 are an excellent choice.. Very stiff.. Hard to beat. I'm tall and weigh 80kg.. Considering going to 90mm or even 110-125.....but 80mm are a solid size.. Not too small not too big..edit..ive also bought some plastic sliders/sidewalls for the GC 80mm.. I love cruising around the city but I can still do a lil grind.. Miss a groove though.. But not many big wheel options with grooves AND sliders
@backtoblading can you give some insight into what is causing the ankle pressure? I've been getting it only on the left inside ankle. I've heat molded the shell twice, cut off the top eyelet plastic and added extra padding, and the pain is still there. It's not stopping me from skating them because I absolutely love they way the skate and grind, but it does affect motivation and comitting.
@@BacktoBlading oh that makes sense. Glad you got it sorted. Btw, look into "shakti mats" for your back. They release tension and get the blood flowing in the area. I'm a gardener, so always bending down at work, and I swear by the mat. Helped me so much
