Dude , i started play Gears when i was 12 years old. How many memories this song brings me back. The Cole's speech, the ride on the brumak, the atmosphere... Now i am 20, and i still playing. Definitely Gears of War is my favorite videogame series. Once a Gear, always a Gear. DELTA OUT!
@@callumkristofer7793 gears was the most atmospheric game for me until the point when marcus stopped being the main character. Him screaming "NICE!" upon a perfect reload was the most badass sh** ever
I was watching the Gear of War Day event and announcement and this beautiful ending song immediately comes to mind because the wait is finally over. Honey, I burst into tears and hugged my wife when I listened to Mad World and Dom. brothers in the end.
This theme has stuck me for ages!!! I was an Xbox player for many years in the early 2000’s But I transitioned to PlayStation but this has NEVER left me And I mean…..never…
@@crisriveraguasco4487 Tiene la mejor campaña de todos, imprento muchas cosas nuevas al género que hasta la fecha se siguen usando, Sin duda es uno de los mejores
Hey, do you know where I can find audio of the Gears of War 2 theme song, except its covered only by a single woman who makes it sound creepy and forboding.
Easily one of the greatest games I have ever played. Not too easy, not too challenging. Awesome crazy adventure to ridiculous places, something I've always been looking for, and a great emotional blend. At the start, you feel powerful being part of a great army, with an inspirational speech from the chairman, and then it spirals downhill from there. And the soundtrack captures it all perfectly. 10/10
I can say I'm a true Gear I played all levels in all games in all difficulties and unlocked all customizations and achievements it has been fun hope 5 is soon and just as awesome
Here I am 7 years later. Still remembering one of the greatest soundtracks in gaming history. I remember first starting up Gears Of War in that prison cell back in 2008. Then watching Marcus drive his knife into Myrah’s chest in the third game’s final cutscene back in 2012. Man I wish I could go back and play the trilogy again for the first time.
Best soundtrack to any video game ever. The music is uplifting and epic with an undertone of sadness and grief. Exactly what the Gears of War universe is all about
Gears combined the greatest aspects of gaming: a driven story, emotion, kick ass gameplay, awesome characters and loads of explosive action. EPIC games indeed.
"Your world could end in a blink of an eye. One event, one unexpected twist of fate and suddenly the world as you knew it, is gone, forever." "All that you held close, all that you held dear, could be washed away into the sea of distant memory." "Life is cruel and this I have no doubt, but life continues on with, or without you." "One could only hope that one leaves behind a lasting legacy, but so often the legacies that we leave behind... Are not the ones that we intended."
This is not only my favourite piece of music to come from a video game but definately in my top 5 favourites of all time. Summarises the story so perfectly in a peculiar way - by this I mean a raw gritty determination to carry despite all that has happened. The piece at 1.35 I find deeply saddening for some reason, it just feels like inevitability has struck again. Still, goosebumps all around! Epic, and excellent when trying to finish seminar work due in for 3 days ago!
From this to now, I still feel emotional, it was then “Feel the power of the COG!” now it is “For the Emperor!” Thank Gears for this outcome, without Gears, I would never have experienced Warhammer.
Well PushyAwolKos official channel 003 the humans on Sera that the creatures that emerged on Emerge Day and Adam Fenix the father of Marcus Michael Fenix and made a deal with Queen Myrrah called them Locust call themselves the horde
The first time I heard this when the water came in to the hollow on Gears 2 it made the hairs on my arms stand up. Perfect for the game and brilliant as a stand alone piece of music. I also think the part where Dom finds his wife is one of the most gut wrenching moments in gaming history.
I miss the classic Gears of War games. The new era games merely contain the branding of Gears but lacks the soul and intensity the series used to have. The series lost its heart its soul and its down to earth tension. Now Gears is a sitcom at this point with an insufferable character who for some reason because the protagonist of Gears 5.
This theme really makes you feel like you accomplished the impossible and that's due for celebration and all but still feels regretful yet hesitant and tragic even. If you ask me at least
Gears 3 was the best gears game Gears 2 was the classic gears Gears 1 was the start Gears ultimate edition was better than gears 1 (duh) Gears judgement was. Ok Gears 4 was pretty good Gears 5 :)
@@wibble2482 I wouldn't say it was aweful, it did need more time focused into the story, it felt kind of rushed and there weren't any cool memorable moments. I'd say the story was "okay" compared to the original Gears games, although that alone makes it just a tad bit disappointing lol
"Your world can end in the blink of an eye. One event, one unexpected twist of fate, and suddenly the world as you know it is gone forever. All that you held dear, all that you held close is washed away into the sea of distant memory. Life is cruel. Of this, I had no doubt. But life continues on, with or without you... One can only hope that one leaves behind a lasting legacy. But so often, the legacy we leave behind are not the ones that we intended."
The day I bought this game I thought it would be a boring 3rd person shooter game... I regret saying that. Now almost 10 years later, I do still love this game, appreciate and even enjoy more it's soundtracks and claim to be proud of being able to play this.
Gears was my childhood. It’s the one game my brother begged me to help him with when Dom’s AI was shitty when battling the beserker at the end of Gears 1, Act 1. I just kinda fell in love with it from there lmao
This is the sound of an awesome game! The best series in my opinion, the storyline, the gameplay, the characters, the humor, Gears of War = PERFECTION!
One I'll say about gears of war 2 is that I like because u are put into a bigger fight with the cog army to finally end the locust war, u as a player get to be in this large battle act 1 mission 2 , 3 and Act 5 all missions, those from what I remember had large battle when your with your friends and other gears soldiers, and I think that's the thing I like about gears of war 2, also let's not forget vehicle mission put I was there was more to it maybe gears of war 5 or not oh well see what happens.
I wish I could get back to the time when I was 9 years old and I finished this game on the hardest difficulty. I’m 20 years old now and still miss this game. Specially because of this soundtrack, it’s pretty much the thing I remember the most when I think about Gears Of War.

I had played gears since I was probably 3 or 4 years old and yes I played every single one and gears 2 is one hell of a game, I also played it with my brother me and him are the king's of this game!!
