The science test really isnt hard. It consists of graph, charts, independent/dependent variables, I also had about 5 math questions, and they give you the formula for those. Also had 1 punnett square question so make sure you're familiar with probability. Pay attention to what the question is asking and you should be fine. I took it yesterday and passed. It's not hard. Good luck everyone.
Angela Terrell thanks so much for this advice, I’m taking mine Saturday & kind of nervous as science wasn’t my best subject even though I was very interested in it, not much actually stuck with me. Thanks again! Going to look up these suggested topics!
Angela, I passed!! It wasn’t that hard at all! Simple earth & life science questions that I kind of already knew! I was super nervous leaving the testing center because I actually didn’t finish, I had two questions left with a minute left on the clock & it just ran out which made me think I failed but low & behold, I got a 151! Not the best score but I’m glad I passed.
I took all four test today on four hours of sleep. It is crazy long and exhausting to take all at once. I scored 168 in the language, 162 in social studies, 158 in science, and 153 in math. I live in Alabama by the way. I dont know if the testing is different elsewhere. Also keep in mind that I did very little studying for language, science, and social studies. All of the practice tests and practice test videos showed that it all came down to reading comprehension. I focused my time studying algerbra. Language was definitely the easiest for me. It was mainly reading a super long paragraph and answering around 7 based on said paragraph. I think i had to read 4 or 5 of these really long paragraphs. The stories were long and boring. In the end reading comprehension is all you really needed. In the essay, you have to read a really long paragraph that has two arguments. The goal of the essay is to decide who has the better argument based on the facts that are presented. Pulling out information from the essay was easy, but the compiling of information and typing it down in my own words took forever. I'm not a fast typer or good speller so this one was hard to do before the time ran out. Science was a bitch. It had much smaller paragraphs than the language portion, but it was so harder to understand. I felt like a couldn't understand English while reading most of these paragraphs. I almost didn't finish the test in time because I just had such a hard time reading the paragraphs. It seemed to be mainly testing your reading comprehension and knowledge of how to read graphs. It also threw several questions at me that told me to use a calculator. I didnt have a clue on what to calculate so I relied on reading comprehension and critical thinking to guess. Social studies was a lot like language but a little harder. You had to read long paragraph and answer the questions based on the paragraph. You had to read paragraphs from things like presidential speechs and answer questions like "What did president mean from this statement?"or "What can we infer is the presidents standpoint from his speech?" It also talks about the different government branches and what they do. I didnt know which branches did what so I wish I had studied up on the basic government branches and how bills, laws, and acts get passed. I dont remember a ton of questions that dealt with the branches but it definitely would have upped my score if I had know the basics. For math it had a lot word problems, make an algebraic equation from the word problems, solve for x type problems, and graphs. I cant think of anything else about math. Just make sure you understand how to graph, make an algebraic equation, factor, FOIL, fractions, exponents, etc. During testing I would have rather have done another math test than science because your brain didn't turn to absolute mush during math. I am actually surprised I didn't score higher on my math. Just remember to not stress yourself out before the test and not overestimate the test in your head. Im not saying it was an easy test but it definitely wasn't as bad as my mind made it out to be. To all my fellow test anxiety people, I wish you luck! You got this!
Thanks so much for your insights. And I agree-science seems like a whole other language that takes time and practice to increase one’s own fluency on the subject.
I just passed my science test thanks to this video i dropped out as a freshman but the way you explained your reasoning really helped me out and i really appreciate it man thank you!!
I used this to pass my test! Studied this video for two days straight and I cannot believe i passed! I am horrible in science but the small little details this video showed me! Allowed me to pass!!! Thank you!
I passed my science GED yesterday!! (Jan 8, 2022) I watched this video 30 mins before my test. It really helped calm my mind and really prepare my mind for what questions may look like. I also passed English and social studies and did the same thing by watching these videos prior to testing. I had Punnett square question, so make sure you learn all the heterozygous and homozygous definitions, I had median question, finding velocity, a lot of reading for meaning. Good luck everyone!
Awesome! Congratulations. Also thanks for the heads up on heterozygous and homozygous:) science is the next one I have to take (passed English and social studies as well recently)
@@raleahlever276 Congrats on passing your RLA test… The science test has about 35 questions, it’s been a few months since I passed mine but I’m pretty sure it’s close to that many… Good luck on your test, you got this!
Brother a great respect and salute to you. I passed my GED science because of you. I was so stressed because of GED and thank god i am done with science and now I will follow up your more videos to pass other 3 remaining exam. A great salute to your teaching strategies. I passed because of the strategies and other main thing that why I passed was that I prayed a lot and asked (Allah) to pass me. So thank you very much for your support.
David, thank you so much. I have watched all your videos and took so much from them. I passed my GED today. Thank you for being such a great online tutor! Your awesome and deserve to know! Don’t give up guys!
9/21/22, took my science test today for the 4th time, and Passed It This Time😁👏🏾🙏🏽💪🏾. All I Have left to take is math and I'll receive my diploma. I'm so happy and excited I can smell my diploma in my hand already lol🤘🏾
Passed english, reading, history, and math all on the first try. Now I have the last science exam tomorrow morning. If you don’t think you can do it, yes you can just stay calm and read the questions carefully.
Hey, I just want to say thank you so much for helping me pass all my subjects and obtain my GED. I’m super grateful!!! 150+ on all 4 subjects and I took all four test in two days with the assistance of my Kaplan 2020 Ged book. For anyone reading.. do the work pay attention follow the study plans the practice test tells you to follow and you will succeed. This is coming from someone who has been out of school for 11 years.
How did it go? I need tips on my up coming tests I passed my social studies today. I have yet to pass the ELA practice. I passed all other practice tests
@@tobydavis224 I'm not going to lie,I thought I was going to fail it but I passed just barely by a few points. I actually got stuck on the mathematical part of the Science test which I knew would be hard since I dropped out in 9th & didn't learn ANY of the high school math. What is a bit nerve wracking for me is the clock ticking away. I skipped a few of the clueless questions & answered what I know then returned. Unfortunately I guessed a few of them since I knew I didn't have enough time. The RLA is a piece of cake just long & alot of reading. In your case if you passed the Math already, then you should be good with the Science. You got this!! 👍👏
I took the test last week. The Science GED test is one of the HARDEST tetsts I ever took in my life! You might think it's easy with the millions of people on here saying, "it was easy!" but for me, it was extermely hard. The first question was a question I didn't even understand. I also almost didn't make it in time, so the last 6 questions I had to make some educated guesses and only answered the last question with 2 seconds to spare. I thought I failed after I took it, but when I got home and checked my e-mail it said, "Congrats! You passed the Science Test!" I was so happy and so relieved! I studied my butt off for about 3 years for that Science test. I finally don't have to worry about it anymore. WOOHOO! Science portion DONE! Just 4 more tests to go!
Taking the science test tomorrow 😣 both science and math were my worst subjects in school, and granted I pass science, I'll take math next 🤞🏼 UPDATE: I viewed this video prior to my science test yesterday. My only gripe was how wordy most of the questions were, which for a slow reader like me, was excrutiating. The time counter triggered my anxiety, so that didn't help matters. Nevertheless, I followed your suggestions and am proud to say I passed. As I am getting the hard subjects out of the way, math is next. Thank you! ✨
Crissy Gomez thank you! I PASSED! Walking out I was positive I failed. I’ve studied for two weeks straight, every day and nothing on that test seemed easy. That being said, I was so thankful I came across this video. This process of elimination saved me! I didn’t panic, thought of the process here, and got through it. (Been awhile for me, I should have graduated in 1992 and didn’t think it possible for me to go back now. I was wrong! College next!
I love how you're so relatable, some answers you say "well I don't really know what this answer completely means so let's just pretend" it's exactly like that when I write my tests. Some answers I just read them, try to understand but if they look right-ish, then hopefully my gut was right. Your videos really help me! :)
Thank you for sharing! Just passed my pretest for science! Will take science’s test tomorrow… btw for all those old people like me, it’s easy, be confident, if I can do it, you can do it… when I pass the science’s test, all I have left is Math🤞🏻
I checked this video out yesterday and took my test earlier today and passed. This video as well as the second, really eased my mind for taking this test. Thanks!
I really enjoy your approach to explaining questions in a simple yet complete manner. Because of you I am confident in my ability to "read between the lines" if you will when attempting to decipher this test. Thank you.
Your videos help me pass my GED RLA and Social Studies. I did study also, your process of elimination helped me alot. I'm now here for help with my Science test!
Just took my Science part today and before going i watched this video. Did not really study before hand so im pretty sure this video helped me pass!! Thank you so much
Thanks man 2022 I passed by using the process of elimination. I actually finished 35 minutes earlier. 150 ain’t nothing to brag about but thank God that is behind me.
I passed this exam on the 1st try when it was under TASC with a 502 in December 2021. I'm so proud of myself because I wanted to give up when I failed the math part but I didn't. I retake it again in August 2023
I kept going back between your videos as well as my online class study guide, and I must say the test was nail biting! I relied on mostly process of elimination. Score was barely but I passed! 2 more to go
I am currently on this subject! Thank you so much for explaining this! It’s helped me understand sooo much! It feels like you’re teaching me one on one! So awesome! I feel so much better now! 🙏
Just took my science test and i passed with a 150 i will say i was nervous about taking it but i also followed your steps to read question first then go back to passage. Thank you for helping me understand science and basically how to take a test.
Thanks for this I wish I saw all this before taking my GED 2019,I was close to passing but failed I took all the test in 1 week ,I am changing my strategy this time taking 1 subject at a time ,I remember studying the whole year for nothing I was so commited,I want to pass this time by fire by force lol.
Taking my Final Science exam tomorrow. I studied well but checked your video if you have tips for writing prompt questions. I watched your whole video. It helped Thank you.
Really comes down to your ability to manage your time and reading/deciphering graphs and charts. I just passed my science test today, but didn't get the score I was aiming for. Ended up in the 63rd percentile rather than being in the 99th percentile like the other two tests I took. Math also played a significant role in my opinion, so make sure you understand what you're calculating. Read the information and questions carefully, but don't spend too much time on one question. Utilizing the process of elimination also comes in handy when it comes to cutting down on time wasted. Figure out which answers are obviously wrong and then try to find the answer that makes the most sense, given the context and what the question is asking.
Thank you for all of your videos! I passed much higher then I thought I would in LA and Social Studies. My final scores were; Language Arts - 163, Social Studies - 169, Science - 172, and Math - 179. I might retake science one as I think I can get the credits.
For the newton's 2nd law Q- 15:00 ish into clip. The question about 'doubling mass' If net force remains the same and you double the mass, you can deduce that it would have 1/2 the acceleration. Being it would be twice as heavy thus reducing the acceleration to half.
I’m taking my science test today!! I’ve already passed RLA and Social Studies but science was never my subject so I’m definitely nervous. I didn’t study as much as I wanted to but this video helped a lot. I’ll update on if I passed or not!!
Sarah D. Only one! And it wasn’t sentences or anything it was just one word you had to fill in. There was a good amount of math questions tho. It was mostly maps and graphs.
